    I trained at Gabe's gym for a little over two years - this guy is a monster. I came in as a fresh black belt, and maybe once in 2+ years of rolling with him did I threaten an actual submission. Don't feel bad about getting ragrolled by him, he's the real deal.

    I attended gabe’s gym for awhile, in Austin, Tx.
    He’s a small dude but he feels like 300 lbs when he’s on you.
    Really awesome dude.

    I trained at gabes for 1.5 year, got by bluebelt from him. Don't feel bad at all mate, I am 6'5 200 pounds and he ankle picked me and arm-barr'ed me all day. He had a D1 guy teach there for awhile so the wrestling level there is high. Gabe is the man,

    The owner of the gym was at one time a ref for many world competitions that included being the ref while Marcelo Garcia competed.

    Really nice of you to go so easy on Gabriel :D Really though, it messes with you when you go into a roll expecting one thing and quickly realize the person is way way better than you thought. You feel a step or two behind the whole roll.

    Nice ankle pic on that blue belt! He was a lot stronger before his leukemia diagnosis but he’s fighting it like a champ and is definitely still a handful. 😅

    I respect you and your going with so many. This guy had a quiet look and very calm but….it seemed like absolutely nothing worked. The boss was a true master, no doubt. Just a complete domination and I say that respectfully. The guy was just crazy good.

    gym owner had great control looked like fun lol I'm a big chrisbrennan guy, kimura and guilotine as well but when you run into one of those old school position before submission blackbelts they really make you have to go an extra step

    OMG- watched it a second time with audio. flash back when our local world class guy pops into our gym to beat us up like a teen rolling in the 5-7 year old class. On the plus side- he did not knee on belly you into tapping for being gassed.

    Great content man. You getting dogged by that guy reminded me of what happened today…I learned a guy who tapped me 2-3 times and dominated the roll is a 3 year black belt. I was thinking he was purple and was messing me up. I was getting discouraged and then I happened upon his FB profile today and whatdayouknow? Haha no wonder he wrecked me

      He is one of the main refs for FloGrapplings WNO and other superfights and grappling events. Like Ruotolo vs Galvao! Hes an insanely good ref. Had no idea he was such a talented grappler. And give yourself some credit Tyler youre amazing!
