    For me, this has one of the best flight models in MSFS so far. It feels stable and believable, the trim feels good and its not as nervous around the pitch as most other aircrafts.
    I‘m also found the workload manageable. Most can be done before taxi or after landing - its a question of organization - and then the critical phases are not much more demanding than in a 737-800 or so.

    Even the fuel-dump panel can be opened and controlled. This aircraft ist god-tier simulation level! I love this airplane. And it looks gorgeous at night, so beautyful. For night flights there is also a dimmable red dome light available too like in all more classic eighties retro planes.

      I have a feeling that it has to do with Emi and his controversial comments previously about Fenix , other developers ATC vatsim etc. his reputation is not the best but videos are great.

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  5 месяцев назад +14

      Especially with aircraft like this, they are just too complex for many. I could have decided to fly the plane with a GPS and using the automated Flight Engineer (like the vast amount of customers will do) and the vids would have been more attractive for most people. The majority of flight simmers just won’t bother to learn INS and conventional navigation, let alone the FE‘s job.
      But I deliberately choose not to. RUclips isn’t a business for me, I don’t care about clickbaiting, maximizing profits or tailoring my stuff to what the broad audience wants to see. I simply show how I’m using my aircraft, I show and say what I think of addons, and I also show their shortcomings, which is often controversial. The E Jets were a classical example of that. Or the bugs in the Fenix, like the flare or flap 3 issues. But I really don’t care, I’m not a fan of hyping stuff. Of course that all means I leave potential to get more views unused. But that’s fine, I earn my money flying aircraft, not making RUclips videos.

    Curious, the Mode selector on the Altitude Select Panel isn't working with hundreds on the down position. I wonder if I messed up something or the version of the aircraft you have is newer. I have 1.0.0 and Aerosoft One tells me there aren't any updates. Also, the Radio frequency selector, when moved to the right frequency, the blue light above it does not illuminate. I have to test in vPilot if the frequencies actually change despite of the light not switiching. Anybody else having these issues?

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  5 месяцев назад +1

      Technically speaking you can only choose those starts where conventional navigation is possible all along. As soon as RNAV is required you can not do them anymore and need to ask for a radar vectored departure instead.

      A lot of the stuff is basic ATPL knowledge and basic system understanding. When you have that and then get access to an FCOM, many things become simple and easy to understand. Also don't forget I'm flight simming since many many years, which has put me in touch with all kinds of different planes and systems over the years, which again makes it simpler as well.

    Is this FSS 727, and indication and acceptance that FSS better stick to developing this type of retro stick and rudder aircrafts in MSFS, versus the most modern aircrafts like the ever-early release of the FSS E-175?

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  5 месяцев назад +2

      I wouldn't say so, but it surely is an indication that it is a better idea to develop aircraft to a much more advanced state before eventually releasing them to the public. I think what really bit FSS into the back with the Embraers was the decision to release them so early rather than to keep them in development and bring them to a more advanced state before bringing them out to the public.

      @@A330Driver I hope that’s the case, because it has taken them forever to continue it implementation of the FMC and VNAV. I have the impression that they are their Achilles heel, and have no clue on how to go about them. There has been no development in a few months.

    Hello, I have watched your flights in the pmdg 737. Why do we turn the anti-ice at or below 10°C TAT instead of 0°C ?

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  5 месяцев назад +1

      Different pressures all around the airplane change the temperature of the air around those parts of the plane. Just because you have 10°C at the location of the TAT probe, you do not have 10°C all around the airplane.

    Is this aircraft study level?

    • @Ic0n0gr4phy
      @Ic0n0gr4phy 5 месяцев назад +2

      Depends on your personal definition of study level, since everyone has a different opinion. The CIV-A INS appears fully simulated along with drift and DME POS updates, the entire flight engineer station is simulated (fuel system, hydraulics, pressurization/bleeds/pack temps/cooling doors/etc.), electrical (including manual synchronization of generator phases before closing circuits).
      I do not believe engine failures/maintenance/CBs are simulated. However, messing up the packs/pack temps will cause the appropriate system trips to engage, and things like that.

    • @purrple.shadows

      If they do the required bug fixes, add weather radar, and program a random failure mode, it will be study level.
