Ya the bloopers was great touch for sure
Good times!
I never heard of this meal will definitely try it
You’ll love it!
Betty, this brings back so many memories of my childhood. When I was a child, my mother would make a version of this using ground beef. We would ask for it at least once a week. Normally we would ladle it over toasted white bread but sometimes we would experiment and pour it over different things. I remember once putting it on a waffle.
Stuart it’s all about the memories. This makes me so happy to read. Family is everything and you know good food and family go hand in hand. This dish will always remind me of my mom and grandmother but now also Schmidt, and YOU!!
Thanks for watching, Stuart!
That looks fantastic Betty! I guess you never get tired of ROCKING those cooks! Love the dish and hopefully you had a great Easter 🐣. Cheers 🥂 😊

That looks SOOOOOOO good! Sadly, 12 years in the US Marines and I never even saw this in the Mess Hall. And I LOVE it. This rules. THANKS!
This is one of my childhood favorites for sure! Yum yum!
This video is making my mouth water! I love the combination of creamy chip beef, perfectly cooked eggs, and toasted Italian bread. The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow, and I appreciate the tips for using different types of milk and adding seasoning. I also love the attention to detail in plating and adding green onions for freshness and color. I can't wait to try this recipe on my Blackstone! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe with us, Betty!
Another fantastic cook! Haven't had this meal since I was a kid.. definitely have to do this now! Appreciate you, Betty! Thanks for posting!

Ohhh so quick you’ll love it!!
You're going to love this one Nae!
Has to be great, using butter in the gravy makes it heavenly, the egg on top and slicing the yolk is my favorite presentation and the flavors together smacking good!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So good!
Happy Easter Betty ✝️🐣🌷🌞
Schmitt on a Shingle YumO!
JO JO IN VT 💞
It was so goooood
Happy Easter Jo Jo ❤
One word, YUM!
❤❤❤❤
We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
Look delicious.
I forget where I found it, but I had made dried bee f for chipped beef using the Umai bags. It turned out wonderful. I did it because all I could find around here was the Armour dried beef. It also saved me about $80+/Lb.
I remember eating a lot of sos growing up, Betty yours looks delicious 👍☘️😎
Mom always made this and it just never gets old! Thanks Donald!
Thanks, Donald!
im in love
❤
Oh no, I'm having a flashback from when I was in the army in the early 80s
Thank you for your service!!!
C'est ce bon madame ! Bonjour de Louisiane amis partout .
💯🔥🍻
Shit on the shingles in our family was hamburger gravy over potatoes. Mom learned this while dad was in the Army
It never gets old!
@@BlackstoneBetty no it does not. Thanks for your awesome videos
Army used Hamburger, Navy used chipped beef because it doesn't have to be refrigerated, and can sit on a shelf for years, without going bad, in a pinch, I've used beef jerky.
Looks delicious ! Where did you find those black serving trays ?
They are ceramic dishes I picked up HomeSense!
👍 Nice
❤
Thanks, Lenny!
I make this dish often and being carnivore, you should do more keto/carnivore recipes. This is easily converted to a carnivore recipe.
Does anyone have a link to the egg rings?
So……. I just got to watch this late last night, and this morning to review… was wondering how I could “Blackstone” chicken to “parmigiana” condition without air frying (didn’t turn out THAT good cuz of over-“baking” the cheese)… lo and behold, this veal demo came out with the option to do with chicken… just got done slicing chicken to filets…
So, here’s question over basting domes:
I don’t have the extra large rectangle one.. but, I have the cover on the culinary model… just to confirm reports and claims, I can make the cover act like a basting dome, correct?
I get to use the tutti spice for first time!
Yhanks
Yeah, thing is though, since it's a much larger area you're covering, it'll take longer, to do things like melting cheese, I use the domed lid that came with my wok, another good choice is one of those deep dish pizza pans, and use a spatula to lift it from the edge, or drill it and add a Knob.
@@drwgisblaidd2650 closing lid, turning off griddle after 30 sec to a minute, then leave closed for about 3 minutes: seems to do the job… cheese melted, bottoms not too extra browned because I put cheese on earlier than the bottoms’ cook accomplishes…
A suggestion BB made that made me do some time-math calcs and “manipulations”…
It worked… thanks for your input…
PS: I already have the round BS dome; it just won’t cover my meat pieces at 6-8 side-by-side….
Drool factor 10
🙌🏼
I had SOS in the Navy, but it wasn’t anything like that
Thank you for your service! We like to Zhoosh Up old classics!
It was always a good day in the Army of we started out with SOS!
I am really surprised that is not a Dutch oven😢
You can use a Braiser like in the video or Dutch oven 😂
Still doesn't change the fact.
Never looked that good in the Mess Hall, I can tell you that!!!!! Still love to this day though, Thanks Darlin'!!!
