@@TeamReeseTravels great question! For the most part, my host agency helped with the initial set up, connections and training with suppliers, and compliance things. I had to decide which suppliers I wanted to focus on and I completed all of the training on my own. My host agency now keeps me updated on cruise news, promotions, etc. And they also provide errors and omissions insurance. I had to research Ohio business laws mostly on my own as the training provided by my host was somewhat generic for all states. They’ve also helped with marketing ideas, email templates, and our booking/records CRM system. I’m now to the point where I think I’ll be going 100% independent in 2025 as I have established great relationships with the suppliers I use and I think I can maintain now without their support (I think!). I’d like to keep the 10% commission that they receive lol.
@@MHFamilyAdventures thank you! This is great info! I’m sure you are going to be great when you decide to step out on your own!! Yes to getting that 10% back 😆
@@msmich1868 no secret. We just live a frugal life at home. And as I mentioned in the video, we no longer pay for 100% of our cruises- about 1/2 of our travel over the last year has been hosted/sponsored. We book cruises early to save and we make small monthly payments along the way.
Congratulations, RacQuelle. I am so excited and proud for you. Your content is informative, entertaining, inspiring, encouraging, etc. I originally started looking at your videos because I was going on a Carnival Celebration cruise and wanted the perspective of a family who’s sailed on that ship with my particular itinerary. You’ve done more than inform me. You’ve also inspired me (as well as some other travel agents). I’ve added travel to my LLC. Please note Carnival Celebration was my second cruise. My daughter and I had an amazing time. I celebrated my 50th birthday on there. We are planning more cruises. You must’ve been an amazing educator because all of your videos taught with ease. I will continue to watch you and support you out here. Wishing you and your family continued success and blessings. Again, thank you!
Wow! This is all really awesome, RacQuelle… your experiences, the growth of your channel and business, and your future adventures! Congratulations and continued blessings! 🎉🎉🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much Raquelle! Of course I LOVED this! Having all of MY unasked questions answered in such an informal yet informative way is great. The one thing that had drawn me to you, your family and traveling style is that you are “every day people.” I also fell in love with cruising during my first Carnival Fantasy sailing aboard the Carnival Paradise which was also a girls’ trip. I started in May of 2022 and will experience my 5th cruise in July 2024. There really is nothing else they compares to cruising especially for busy families. In my opinion, cruising really gives everyone an opportunity to relax and enjoy the family vacation. I don’t always get to enjoy myself on land based family trips because I am the primary one planning, organizing, making dinner plans (sometimes even cooking), so, yes cruising is THE BEST for me. I am so excited for your journey with doing everything full time and experiencing growth in your business and collaborations with companies that you were & are using anyway. I definitely look forward to your future “master class series” on becoming a travel advisor. Thanks so much for the candid and helpful Q&A video. Continued blessings and success. ✌🏾🛳️🌺🛳️🌸😊
RacQuelle interesting, my first cruise was with Carnival Sensation which also brought forth my love for cruising. I have been cruising ever since. Cruising in interior cabin on my first cruise, also thought me that interior cabins was not for me. I have to be able to experience the sunlight in the early morning when waking up!
Yassss..... Greece!!!.... definitely my bucket list.................Thank you for your content, every time I plan a family cruise, I come look and see if yall have been on the ship then I get all the tips from you and your family
Thank you Racquelle for sharing. This information was very educational. I really want to focus on traveling more. I also left my job in 2021 to travel more. Thank you for some motivation.
Love this❤ your videos with your family truly inspires me. I’m set to sail to 2nd cruise to the ABC islands with my family. I was hooked after my first cruise. I think people have the misconception that traveling can be too expensive; but I’ve learned different You just have work around your budget accordingly. I really appreciate all of your content. Thanks for all you do ❤
So glad I found your video. Very informative. I took my first cruise with Royal Caribbean, Navigator of the Seas to Mexico. I am so hooked. My next cruise is Royale Caribbean, Quantum of Seas to Alaska for seven nights. Again thank you and congratulations on your adventure
Thank you for all the videos you posted, they are always enjoyable to watch. My favorites were the Mediterranean cruise and your excursions to Amber Cove and Grand Turk. Peace and love!
Thank you so much for sharing, I would love to take the step to get into the business agency, not because of perks but because when family and friends see how much I love travel they ask questions want help and i would love to help and start their love of experiencing travel
Yes you create great content. I am a veteran cruiser, but would love to one day either run across you guys or join one of your group cruises. Thanks for all you do.
Great set of questions. I was in Bonaire a few years back. Very Spanish compared to Aruba and Curacao. St Thomas and Grenada are my favourite islands. Wasn't enamoured with Jamaica but that's probably because an old lady in a shop said she would put a voodoo curse on me if I didn't buy some blue mountain coffee lol.
Awesome videos! Enjoy watching your family and you living your best life! 🤍 I do have a question… how did you get started as a travel agent? That is something I am interested in doing as a side “hustle”, see where it goes. 🙂 What advice/tips would you have?
What questions do you have about being an avid cruiser?
Did your host agency help you to understand the business initially or did you kinda have to figure out your own way?

2 a year is pretty amazing. If I didn’t do this for “work” we’d probably only go once or twice a year!

Where can I buy the water shoes?
Amazon! Just search for Douusport water shoes. They are my fave cause they are so lightweight.
