HRD 536. Good machine but endless problems with choke cable, second such machine (first one got stolen) I've had but exactly same problem with last machine. Current machine 18 months old and just won't start from cold without fiddling with choke cable. Just had a full service, £160, highlighted cable problem, so they just put a new cable on, guess what exactly same problem, still not cured. Very frustrating but once I get it going, it's a good machine. Not sure if I'd recommend it, until they sort out the choke cable.
I don't understand one thing. I have the semi commercial Honda mower with Honda's propraitary "plastic" deck and it has a new 200 cc engine on it. Even this beast of an engine (for the 21" mower) still lacks power in my opinion cause the mower bogs down and clogs when I mow wet and high grass. My question is why is Honda putting a less powerful engine (160 cc) on their top of the range commercial mower? I know this is a more robust engine with some commercial features but it's less powerful. Why Honda, why????

What other engine than GXV160 I can put to HRD536 QX as a replacement? Can’t seem to find qxv in my location.
