I've been into BMX racing since the 90's, I'm surprised I've never heard of this pump track racing. It's super cool! I've seen pump tracks of course, just never knew there was championship racing.
I raced at the Paris, Tx qualifier (and got smoked) it was such a cool environment. Alec was an absolute machine, crazy power to accelerate and unbelievable precision. His bike is a 4130 Steel rig I wonder if the relative flex of steel versus aluminum and carbon fiber helps with speed "springing" out of corners. I'm sure like everything else Pump track bikes will become hyper-specialized. Steel frame, carbon rims and forks, maybe a 24"/20" mullet set up? Props to Alec, shout out to Crazy Al.
