@@praesidus4713 I was considering buying this this watch, but if you don't properly communicate regularly with the customers, just shows the lack of quality customer service and will take my business elsewhere.....
@The Truth just looked at their website, they are out of NY, can't expect much out of them!!!
@The Truth did you get a reply back from them? How about your money? They are a first rate scam from my experience.
Well, two years later your video convinced me to pick up a 38mm version! I have been wearing a Marathon GPQ (older, plastic bezel version), and wanted something that had the same feeling, but more traditional. Been on the fence for the A-11 for a couple months, and your video really helped cement the decision.Really looking forward to my A-11 arriving!
This US Army Veteran just recently acquired the Praesidus A-11 Tom Rice 42mm. I wear the watch on a leather cuff band. Cuff bands give a vintage vibe and functional look. This A-11 is a robust time piece!! Great watch!!! HOO-AAH!!!!!!
I just got mine yesterday. It is on my wrist as I type this. I love this watch! This is just like the watch I got as a hand-me-down from my father as a wee tyke, oh those many years ago. This is the BEST ever field watch, with no reservations. Well, the strap is a tad overbuilt for everyday use, but if I were jumping out of an airplane to fight the enemies of my country, this is the strap I would prefer. I put it on a simple leather strap for my more mundane civilian use. If you do not have one of these yet, and if you like field watches - THIS is the one to get. I recommend it without reservation.
Sterile dial, great lume, AND my ideal intersection of 38mm case + 20mm lug width. Also a huge fan of that case back design, with or without engraving. What an awesome package for under $200 - I'm seriously considering this rather than the Bulova A-15 I've been eyeing for months!
Love that you bring us some less known watch option...keep it up!
As a military watch guy I really like this. Thanks for showing it off. 👍
I have had mine for about two weeks. Picked up the 38M with a brushed case. So far a great watch. The top of the crown on mine was jeweled. Nice touch! Recommend highly. However, I think there is a waiting list. Not surprised.
Great looking watch with an interesting legacy. I just checked out their website and they support a number of charities. All of this for under $200... outstanding! With Christmas approaching, I am definitely going to check this out. Thanks for the review!
The 38mm would be my choice. I'd even like it in the 34mm but 36mm is a favorite for that stile watch. At least for me.
Just curious how this watch has held up. As a Marine in the 1St Civ Div I've been looking at field watches to go with the G shock DW5600 I replaced my 5000 with I used in the Corps.
I just received my 38mm version. Love the watch, looks well made, the strap is very nice but unfortunately a little long. I'm wearing it on the last hole but I also have 6.5" wrists. Great value overall and a great review. I would recommend, especially the 38mm size.
How long did it take from time of order to delivery?
@@jcm9698 well, I ordered mine months before production. It was a pleasant surprise in the mail.
@@jcm9698 It took 6 days for mine to arrive
Very cool military watch. Great review brotha 🤘🏻
Excellent watch review. I was unaware such a watch and brand existed. I really love the design and history of this watch. I definitely want to purchase one. How do you find the watch after several months of usage?
I'm a sucker for military watches. With sterile dials I'd go for a 38mm. With a 42mm you get the feeling that something's missing, like a logo. Thanks for the review.
The 38mm cream dial on the Pradesidus site looks like the Bulova Hack.
Yea it's essentially the watch it's based on the a-11 and the Bulova hack were very similar
Looks like the original A11s, would love to get a hold of the 38mm version for myself. Tom Rice's story is an added bonus, or should I say, the best feature to be honest. Great video!
I like the watch.
And the m8vement isca good one. Seiko nh35.
Talking to praesidus, they mentioned they will introduce a swiss quartz and more import antly a swiss automatic movement...a soprod, for its next two variants.
The agony. Get the Seiko NH35 powered A11 or the Soprod powered one. Either way you can't lose.
This watch looks pretty cool and is tied to some really cool history
Damn! That is one hell of a watch for $200, and it has a really cool history to boot.
Yea it's a great price and looks great too
@@WatchChris I just saw their Black Friday deal... Makes the price even better!
Nice, watching this makes me want the real thing from Bulova though.
Nice review and story behind it.
249 now, I think im still going to get it. Nice review
I love this watch. I’d order one but all the strap choices are too small for larger wrists. Pity.
straps are cheap and easy to replace if you really like the watch :)
Can you manually wind this or do you have to rely on watch movement?
I ordered one for me and my wife as we are both military. The website says it should have the hack, but I can’t seem to get it to do the sweeping motion,
How would you guys compare this to the Bulova Hack?
Yes would love to buy one where do I get it from...I am in
Sydney Australia
Love that watch. 38mm would be best on my skinny wrist.
Quick question! When you bought the watch, how long did shipping take for you?
Nice watch good story great that they donate to the veterans , good review 👍
I really like the looks of that watch. They should sell an upgraded version with a better movement and sapphire crystal.
Seiko movements are no slackers, however!
Great video
Nice Chris 👍
Cool watch 👍
Amazing watch and history. I guess I'm soft on history. Regardless, you've hit my soft spot and I think I might pick one of these up. As always, thanks for the videos!
Baa baa
Mine, a A-11 Praesidus watch loses 1 minute every day. I wind it 55+ times a day and put it on an automatic watch winder. Junk that looks good, but unreliable.
How water resistant they were? No indication
Anyone know if this is a hacking watch movement (e.g., do the second hands stop when the crown is pulled out)?
Yes it is
May I know what is your wrist size please?
Just what I’ve been looking for.
Right now 149 dollars. ( 20 11 21 )
£111
Where to get this price?
Would have loved this without the fauxtina
Seems like they have a two for one deal running right now. Did anyone check it out? Legit?
Does the watch have :
(1)hacking
(2)hand-winding
(3)screw-in crown
(4)screw-in caseback
????
Just discovered this watch. Too bad you can’t still get it for under $200
NICE! i dislike Hamilton lookalikes....field watches. this looks more unique. and very affordable.
Too late, one new watch bought too late 😂
Woulda bought it if it used an NH38. Using a NH35 in a time-only piece is just lazy.
ampfibia is better :P and cheaper
Noname watch
