So, why do the picture sometimes display and sometimes you get a little box with an X in it? At first I thought the database entries didn't have pictures because the box with the x doesn't always show up immediately but I checked the actual database on my hard drive and sure enough, the pictures are there and can be viewed with any photo viewer, but they often don't display in the database viewer.
@@PGatcomb It was happening to you during your demo. When you were showing the database demo several entries you looked at didn't display pictures despite having them in the database records. That's why i asked. Because it isn't just me. It might appear that the entries just lack pictures but in truth, very few entries actually lack photos.
the databases is amazing however its a massive shame the developers decided to lock down database editing with an integrity check. Its especially annoying as we know they have a GUI database editor but wont sell it to non government users.
@@PGatcomb You gloss over unit properties which is critical for understanding the capabilities of weapons, ie: Illuminate-on-Launch, BOL, All-Aspect, Home-on-Jam, etc. You also failed to explain the importance of the the "guided by" statements in the weapon listings, ie, such weapons REQUIRE the use of a given sensor to engage and if there is no "guided by" statement the weapon can be guided by any capable sensor. Energy signatures (radar and sound) should have been explained further in relation to how the game models those. You glossed over the sensor data fields and should have explained them further, ie the difference between 2D and FCR radars, what the range value actually means, what RWR, ELINT, and the common acronyms mean, etc.
Ignore this bag of gas, Phil. You do a fine job. And considering you aren't being paid and we aren't paying anything this guy can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned. Nobody is making him watch. He can go make his own videos if he doesn't like it. Ignore him. There's always one guy who fucks it up for everybody and obviously he's determined it's going to be him.

That definitely sounds like a bug to me. I would go over to the cmano matrix games forum and post it. I've never seen it myself.

Nice
You spend a lot of time on irrelevant and self-explanatory parts of the database while glossing over important aspects.
