Reupload of this episode, as there were a few images that I prefered to remove for copyright reasons
This video is the first of a documentary series on a forgotten famous European wine from the South West of France: Gaillac Wine. More famous than Bordeaux wine for centuries, the wine from Gaillac has a very long history dating back to more than 2000 years. Nowadays forgotten, the region is going through a revival and is full of hidden gems for wine specialists.
In this first video, I decided to visit a very important Roman archeological site from the region where some evidence of wine making has been discovered. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the origins of this wine-making tradition and the joint history between this wine and the people who lived in the South West of France.
