I love how you can see the logic in some of the tasks that let you cheat. Making a sandwich- The task STARTS when you are holding both spatulas. So you can get the bread, toast it, cook the meat, set everything out nice and easy to access. THEN pick up the spatulas and put it together. Move the egg as far as you can before putting it in the frying pan. Righht next to you is a coffee cup and a spatula. Put the Cup on the spatula, set up a box under thew tube. Have the egg fall into the cup, THEN pick up the spatula and balance the cup and egg as you walk as far away as you can.Carry the Pan in your other hand, when you're far away enough, drop the egg / cup into the frying pan. The developers knew the show well, and they perfectly set it up for you to be cheeky about your solution.
Dan doing the egg task was basically exactly like a task from the show. The elaborate set up at the start, disassembling that elaborate set up in favor of a crazy scheme that seems unlikely to work, the near triumph followed by despair, and then finally the sarcastic one point awarded from Greg

@@actionsam7878 I feel like it just wouldn't be as enjoyable outside of VR, since the fun part of the gameshow is the physical manipulation of objects and VR is perfect at interactivity with game elements, so it just fits perfectly.

It's just hard to make a VR game where you go "do something" feel different to a similar do something game, especially when most VR games are mostly about showing off their physics engines Like I can see the similarities but I wouldn't call it reskinned at all, it's still very different, it's just following the VR game design

Dan is the one that got me into taskmaster, in high school I used to scour reddits that were all about British panel shows just to find a Google drive the current season on it. Great times now They're pretty much just all on RUclips so I basically wasted a bunch of time

Hear me out; an official Taskmaster, hosted by Greg and Alex, all the contestants are RUclipsrs (preferably gaming YTers, but any would work) and it raises money for charity!
I'm definitely going to pick this up at some point. But holding off for now until they fix some things. I've heard it runs pretty badly at times and could see frame drops in this video and the janky physics would really annoy me. There's a certain physics jank acceptability in VR and based on the video it exceeds it for me personally. So hopefully some things get fixed but it's does look like a lot of fun.
I mislead myself and thought you were invited to be on a more recent taskmaster episode. I can and will use this as evidence that you'll be hilarious in Series 489. Can't wait!
