Trying to learn sign, I'm struggling to learn bsl word structure and keep defaulting to sse, is it acceptable to use sse and any tips on learning bsl? Also last question if I do use bsl do I then speak what I'm signing or do I need talk in standard English word form? Thanks in advance ☺️

Some deaf people can't speak, and I think it's because they have never heard anyone else in their life talk before (obviously). However, they have seen their lip pattern, so they do understand how to execute the lip patterns, just not the voice. I hope this helps. This is just my opinion, by the way, lol. I am also deaf but I wear hearing aids instead since I never want to get surgery to get cochlear implants, like, oh my gosh, I never want a surgery.
