Wow comments from straight pipes and Chris fix!! Nice!! Love love love your Prowler 😍 When my gas blower dies I'm going for one of these with the 10 AH batteries!!
Thanks for this review and looks like you found your favor EV! Yes, ceramic coating works great on all EGO tool like the snow blower, snow shovel and lawnmower.
I got the version that came with 4x10ah batteries just in case I needed longer run time. Love it. When I got it, I couldn’t wait for it to snow. Recommendation I have is get to the snow soon after it comes. I usually can clear my driveway and sidewalk with 1 set of batteries but we were away for the holidays and it snowed about 6 inches and froze for another 3 days. It took about 1/2 the second set of batteries to clear. Also, while it is a joy to use, get the right clothing gear- heated gloves, heated socks, and a heated vest to wear under my coat as well as good waterproof boots allows you to snowblow in comfort.
I bought mine in September of 23 and am praying for it to start snowing down here in southern Ontario. My driveway is about the same as this dudes, but I'm wondering if I should spend the money and get another set of batteries. The thought of running out of juice or having to wait two hours for a recharge is new to me...Oh well, I'll know more after the first real snowfall. Fantastic review though. Good job
Mississauga eh? Fellow Canadian 👍? I'm waiting for mine to be delivered since it's really hard to find these models now, even in the store that you have in the video. I suspect their popularity has really depleted most store inventories so I'm guessing I made a good call. Out of curiosity, what are the dimensions for storage purposes ?
Yea, supply in Ontario is Crazy. I started shopping for this in Sept 23. Lowes would show 10 in stock, and when I got there, they would be sold out. I even searched stores next door in Quebec and East of Ottawa where I live. Sold out the moment they came into the store. Then one day while looking at my Canadian Tire flyer, there it was. I called and they received 3. 5 mins later I had one. 15 mins later they were all gone. This thing better live up to the hype because I could have bought a top of the line gas blower for less. We shall see and I hope you get your delivery soon. ( Oh once folded it doesnt really have a bigger footprint than a lawn mower
My parents in their 70s have one of these and love it. I went with the Ryobi 21 single stage to replace an old clapped out gas blower. Honestly the Ryobi is doing well for me so far but I have a smaller driveway and sharing the batteries with other equipment like a leaf vacuum which is the greatest thing ever!
Yes my single stage ryobi was great on my neighbours driveway that was half the size and could throw the snow to both sides. For that it was great!! But for mine. Need that 2 stage
How about Greenworks stage 2 which comes with 3 batteries Do any one have your own experience, specially I am looking to buy one for my 4 cars drive way lot get , 8 to10 inches, some times rarely 12 in with wet snow, I am thinking about electric one.
"as a 36 year old, that's what my dreams are, and I'm ok with that. I had fun". Hey, these things are cool. No shame in that! 😂 I guess you must be further North. Toronto proper didn't get that much snow, and in general this winter has been disappointing :(
So when you get to the end of driveway where plow piled the snow do you need to push on the machine to get it to through? Or can it pull itself through with no issue? It looks like the tires spin some in some spots. I am guessing that's because the machine is so light.
Hi Yuri, any reason why you didn't go with the bigger 2-stage Ryobi? I'm on the fence about getting another battery platform since I have all Ryobi battery powered tools.
Broke my second unit in two seasons. Yay for warranties, but 1500 and two winters later, the thing has never finished my driveway once. Just a weak, underegineered unit. It works until it doesn’t, which is usually when you need it. I don’t see how this will reduce a carbon footprint at all.
My main concern is the battery life and replacement cost-I replaced a battery for my EGO weed whacker after about 26 months at a cost of about $250- if these duel batteries need to be replaced on average of every 3 years that’s a cost of at least $500 every 3 years - in my opinion that’s a deal breaker
I also recommend never setting the auger beyond about 50% -- anything higher is overkill for almost all cases and just wastes battery power. This is my third winter using this machine, upgraded to a pair of 12 Ah batteries which easily clears my entire 90' driveway with power to spare. I also spray the auger and inside of the chute with Pam cooking oil if the snow is wet/sticky -- a trick I'd used on my snow shovels for years, and it works just as well on the snow blower.
** Battery Life - to greatly extend the life of your batteries, store then at 50% in the offseson. All lithium Ion batteries will degrade much faster if they sit at 100% charge or 0%. They like being between 20-80%, with 50% being ideal. P.s. this also applies to your smartphone, laptop etc
Yuri! What the heck are you doing here? I unsubscribed from your auto site! 😂 (Reviewing expensive cars nobody can buy) This thing any good? Or too big for city use? 🤔 If it every snows here in San Diego, mark my words 💰
2nd season with the same blower and the single stage blower. Both bought at the same time. Batteries suck!!!. Buy a honda. Especially if you have heavy, wet snow.
If this guy reviewed cars too I’d listen to every word he said!
But where is the sun visor test?

Thanks Yuri for the reviews. I live in Québec and we get alot snow I have this snowblower since december and I love it.
Thanks for the review. I bought one last week with 4 x 10 ah batteries. I also bought the 3000 watt power station. Can't wait to try them out.
When he said he has a bad back and sciatica, I can relate. 😂
Impressive, it did much better than I was expecting it to!

Okay, I'm convinced...I'm buying one.
I follow you on IG through Allett mower 😁 now I see here you are reviewing Ego snow blower, which I received a few days ago..! great video !
Wooo
If it snows here I’m moving to Florida… mark my words!

Sweet. That’s definitely improvement over the other one. Good review.
Self propelled is key. And steel auger
You're talking about the single stage?

I don’t really know the dimensions, but I’ve got enough room in my garage for all of my tools

Looks like a beast, great review
IS THIS YOUR DREAM BLOWER??
Had to re upload it because the original vid wouldn’t render past 360p 😢
Just got mine, ready for the snow. Driveway is 1,320 sf, and a 8˚ slope. Had been using an EGO single stage, tired of pushing that thing.
My parents in their 70s have one of these and love it.

Wish I could try it. I feel like all 2 stage are very good
@@YuriTereshyn Thanks For your reply🤝🇨🇦

Ya lil push in some spots

Ryobi wasn’t able to send me a unit to test but it turned out to be alright because this EGO unit is so great! Love to be able to try different brands
Sell your Ryobi garbage and go Ego!
Team Sciatica in the house
We all sticking to our daily stretches?

It might be less about carbon footprint and more about the preference to using electricity over gas for noise and smell?

Wonder if there’s an adaptor to power cable
Now that's a fantastic Idea. Something I'm going to work on@@YuriTereshyn

3 grand later......
Don’t forget to ceramic coat the insides. Snow sticks a lot less when you do
👍

Fun thing about these Ego batteries: they do this themselves. If they go unused for a month, they will self-discharge to about 30%.
You don't need to do that with these batteries
Wait are you guys serious? I’ve been manually charging them up to 100% because I kept seeing them degrade in my cabinet!
@JohnWick-ps4hm Yes, leave at 50% vs 100%, will greatly extent the life
When they said 18 cars. just divide by 3 then it can only do 6 cars.
MORE YURI!
Ofcourse
great review....dude get some gloves. you are making me cold just watching ! Great job , thx
Well I got the 28” one that had heated handles!!! So no need this winter haha
yes I just bought the 28inch as well....looks like this weekend will be the first time using it. Cheers!@@YuriTereshyn
