I think he wanted to control her. To control her would mean being able to use her power and his own as they were different kinds of power

Sad... In this scene he adores his mother and loves her more than anything but later he loves her even more that he doesn't know what he's doing..

Broooooooo it is f*ckin evident he LOVED his mom! Why couldn't she back down instead of needing absolute control. They would have been a force to be reconned with! Even though irl Farya didn't exist...all she had to do was take her under her tutelage. As for the whole law against being able to marry foreign princesses...If I recall, technically Suleiman was pretty close to breeching that little law when he took Mahidevran(who was of noble birth and also the daughter of a prince)but granted he didn't marry her but still...she wasn't a slave like the other women of the harem. Also almost all the sultans made exceptions to the rules to fit their own narratives. I understand why they didn't want any foreign princesses attached to the crown because that would open up for others to claim the thrown. BUT...if they abdicate or lost their crowns before they joined the harem I don't see why it matters. Kosem just became too power hungry and that sucked for the entire future of the Ottoman Empire. LOL wow I just wrote a book.

Ps.: franch ambasadors said that beyazid was born 1609/1610 necdet sakaoglu said that in 1610 was born an another son kosem alderson said that in 1609 was born another sehzade and perci and tezcan found that in 24,5,1606 was born another. historians said that sulejman was born mahfiruz or kosem. tezcan found that he not survived chilhood.
it is possible that sulejman could had been sehzade b 1606-1609.
ambassadors said there were two brothers osman beyazid sulejman and sister 1619(1609) interesting thinks is that perci marked that another daughter ahmed died in 1609/1611 perci said that zeynep was born 1617-1619
which mean the mother Osman second kosem sultan had in 1609 two children who died. Perci said that esma was born 1612-1612,
historians said that kosem had more daughters than gevherh, ayse, fatma and handzade alsoi kosem and handan(mayby change to zeynep and esma. it is possible that these princeses are sultana´s from kosemand sehzade who died 1606-1609 was sulejman from kosem
