This is a great review gives a real insight into what its like to take a pillion as most places you only get a demo for an hour or so now days isn't really long enough sometimes for these issues to show up
I have just committed to buying one today at a discounted price. My wife and I are going to use it to tour Europe over the summer. We've just cycled from Azerbaijan to Cyprus and my wife said "why don't we buy a motorbike?" What a good wife she is.
She's says exactly what my wife as said about going on the back just bought her a air cushion for her bump and she loves it went 2 hours the other day no problems
Good stuff guys, great info for potential buyers. Top marks for your lass enjoying the mt10...mine struggles with the pillion peg height and one short trip was enough!
John and Helen. Thank you, great review. "Kind of attractive, but just a bit weird" - wonderful! Sounds a bit like my wife's description of me, and I'm sure she's being generous using attractive in my description. Answered a lot of questions that I had in mind. Actually thought the bike looked good with the luggage. Again, great review. All the best.
@@bennettsbikesocial Until you need to replace the bearings and the fork seals...it wont put the bike's maintenance cost at the level of a BMW by any stretch, but still quite a complicated front end :)
@@MrLunithy Right back at you lol I think it's pretty clear what my point is you just prefer avoiding it. But do buy the bike if it's what you want, all good.
I toured Snowdonia on my GT last year. Heading back there this month. Can't think of a better bike for it. (I haven't tried a pillion yet mind you). You say you'd like an mt10 engine in one, I fancy the v4 vmax engine 👍🏻
My good lady finds the niken comfy ,she also has hip and knee problems.Ours is the gt version so the seat is higher in relation to the leg position.obviously this will vary from pillion to pillion as we are all different .I do have a top box fitted and apart from carrying stuff it allows pillion to relax more so not tensing muscles .

She's a keeper! Cheers, John
Thanks for the review. I appreciate hearing views from the passenger, and the rider navigating with the extra weight.
I’m enjoying my GT model. It is fun to ride. To bad there are so many haters out there that don’t understand the Niken.
Cheers Ron! Would you be able to email me at enquiries@bikesocial.co.uk please? Would love to talk to you about it. Thanks, John
I once had a guy look at it and say, well thats an ugly looking thing. smh. ok yeah and so is your wife but you wont hear me complaining.

They're doing a stellar job at this year's Giro d'Italia as organisers moto's. The weather has been horrendous there.
I've just tried the niken and will be getting one soon great bit of kit

Cheers! I had thought I'd need to put the longer MT-09 peg hangers on the MT-10, but Helen was fine with it, so I haven't bothered.

I agree - the luggage seems to balance the look of the bike out. Cheers! John
@@bennettsbikesocial Agree entirely about balancing the look of the bike. Nice
Good video. On a side note, that complicated front end should be fun to maintain double the tires and double the suspensions!
Tyre, yes... suspension, no: ruclips.net/video/awLjDubi0ko/видео.html&

another good review thank you.
Any tips for someone who gets hip and knee pain after 30 mins. Female on back. Loves to ride but she is in pain.

Thanks would like to hear from.women 60plus for tips on legs and hip pain. After 30mins. On back
Very insightful
Interesting luggage particularly the top box
It's Shad kit - clever how it can compact down, isn't it?!
Do a comparison between a niken and bmw gs1250
what happens if one front tire gets flat?
What a nice lady!
If she's not scared, its not worth it. Veterans will understand what I mean..
Veterans of what?

She's a pillion, no veteran wants his pillion frightened of riding.
What are you 12?
