  • Krydrufi were kind enough to send me their new All-in-One Modular Art Box and we are going to see if it is a tool that is going to be useful for Miniature Painters!
Krydrufi have also invited me into their affiliate program, and without giving too much away about the video, I do really like their product and believe in what they are making and hope to support them with their future products.

The dry palette is basically useless for miniature paints, but I like all of the rest of the components in my set. I’d like a white module with round wells that could be used for washes or speedpaints.

That would be a more welcome addition for miniature painters rather than the dry palette for artist paints. I could see an easy insert being made that could go in the wet palette base unit.

Thanks for the great info. Love the video and the paint system. It does have it's pro's and con's, but I am certainly in with the kickstarter. Can't wait to get the system in my house to try it all out. Not for that price!!

Happy you like the look of it. When you say 'Not for that price!!', is it expensive in comparison with others on the market? I realised I hadn't looked at or talked about the price, but it seems reasonable for what you get to me.

@@ZombieSashimi this is a very nice compact system. I have a traveler paintcase what is a lot bigger and much more expensive (handmade wooden case). It all works well, but compared to this system very cumbersome and big. I paide 250 dilar for it. So compared to this compact system a lot more expensive. And just as you said in the video, the two main con's are no room for mini's or (enough) paints.

I think its a great module! I can't wait to see the upgrades. I only wish they will continue to make it so everything fit together! I would also have loved to see a lid on the top but all in all, it seems really nice and at a fair price!

Yeah. I am pretty chuffed with it and am using it all the time. I will be taking it with me back to UK for the hols to do some painting for my bro’s boardgame minis, something I wasn’t planning on doing, but now I can!

I came here looking for the difference between miniatures paper they have and the 4 in 1 paper. I thought the 4 in 1 is more like the GW glossy paper palette

At the time of making this video they only had the 4 in 1 paper. Then from the feedback from all the people testing their palette, Krydrufi then made the miniature painters paper. It acts very similarly to redgrass palette paper. The sponge is much thicker and stays moist for longer, so the paper works really well as long as you don’t over do it with the water. Too much and your paint can tend to get runny too fast. But with the sponge saturated, but not overflowing, the wet palette paper works really well. I have been enjoying it a lot. I should perhaps make a quick follow up video to cover the paper.

As someone who is just starting out, I think this product would be ideal. The price is reasonable too.

Welcome to the hobby! What are you getting into painting? Is it GW or something else?

I’m definitely getting in on the kickstarter!
I have the same problem with my wet pallet paint getting too wet. It’s nice to know this one is different.
My art room has a dehumidifier and so I’ll probably keep the extra wet paper for my miniature painting and have another wet palette with the Krydrufi version for painting outside.
I’d love to see modular boxes for miniatures and tools like you.
I’d like them to have their own lids so I can mix up what I want to carry with me.
I’d very much would love to convert one to a dry pallet!
Ah and one of those water pots separated into four sealed sections would be nice. Or two. Miniature painting doesn’t need two large pots, but more small ones. Though when I’m painting on canvas I’ll be happy to have a fully open one or a two sided one.
And have a little place for brush soap…
I don’t like painting miniatures at game shops as I have to use my cheap stuff. But with this and some mods for dry brushing I can see myself get back out to the game shops!
    Best review so far!

Thanks for the detailed response. Each of the modules does have its own lid that you can connect to the top compartment, so you can mix and match what you need. I can also see me using this to easily take everything I need to get painting out of the house with a pretty easy setup and keeping it all compact as well. I personally don't dry brush much myself, but it would be a nice extra to have a dedicated dry brushing palette in there.
