These are my top 5 mini-cons from Transformers Armada. The mini-cons hold a special place in my collection, so I thought I'd show off a few of my favorite designs.
Personally my top 5 favorite Mini-Cons are 5. Drill Bit because he looks nice with that big drill. 4. Stripmine because of him having two weapons for hands and that he can be a Targetmaster as well. 3. The Bonecrusher/Thunderblast/Scattor mold because of his unique Transformation that you have to flip and turn the vehicle to form the body 2. Makeshift from the 2008 Universe line. I simply like the color for him. Black and purple is a nice color combo 1. Deep Dive. We don't get submarine Transformers that often. What am I saying? We barely get any! And he is an exception that if a submarine could have a good robot mode, then Deep Dive would be a good example. I recently picked up 5 Mini-Cons from a Sci-Fi convention two weeks ago - Broadside (the blue recolor of Armada Knock Out), Hound that came with Energon Treadbolt (Real name is Rollbar but he is in Hound colors so he is Hound in my book) and the Road Wrecker Assault team (just a recolor of the Destruction Team) which just gave me an absolute flashback to Armada due to me just getting the Mini-Cons for some reason rather than the bigger figures like Hot Shot or Sideways. And I just discovered today that a person was selling a bunch of Mini-Cons on the Swedish version of eBay called Tradera. As of yet no one has put a bidding price on it but I'm gonna wait and snipe as soon as the auction ends
I had quite a few minicons as a kid. Energon Perceptor has always been my favorite. I recently started a collection and it's pretty insane to see how much some of these minicon/microns sell for now.
Favorite minicons Jetstorm Firebot/Antiblaze, he is tied with the universe classics firebot too.. Liftor Bonecrusher Sparkplug Honorable mentions: wreckage, the giant planet minicons, overrun is kinda neat too.
Mine are: 5) Mirage/Swindle 4)Sparkplug 3)Bonecrusher 2) Makeshift 1) Buzzsaw. He looks really cool with what is an incredibly awkward vehicle mode. A bucket wheel excavator is awkward at best but his transformation is so slick and he looks great in both modes.
I’m actually getting these Minicons now, I used to have 6, but now I have 24 this year. I also have been getting some of the larger transformers as well to powerlink with them. My top 5 are: Leader-1: I like his design Crumple-zone: I like his triple changer gimmick Thunder clash: his vehicle mode is a Cybertron gunship and it looks awesome Dirtboss: simply because he was the first minicon that I ever got Prowl: his “Weapon mode” ability is that of a handgun and I love his police car vehicle mode
I don't like mini-cons without a 3rd weapon or armor alt-mode because they look ridiculous plugged in to larger figures in their 'vehicle' mode. At least the land military team and sea team have projectiles in them so they at least look decent powerlinxed to larger figures.

I remember having a ton of these growing up. I think I played with the Mini-cons more than I did with the larger figures they came with lol.

Lol same, and my favorite was always that red helicopter one which went with Hotshot if I’m not mistaking... good times!

They do have a cool factor. I remember LOVING the old micromaster line before these guys too and I still have many of 'em to this day. :)

I had a combo of 2 minicons (Autobot and Deception), but no larger figure.

I like the prowl gun mode, it looks like a weapon.
Cool video! I grew up with Armada so this is a nostalgia trip for me. I always liked the Mini-con gimmick.

My favorite? Definitely Armada. Also a fan of Cybertron, G1, and Prime. I've never seen all of Beast Wars but I liked what I've seen.
