      barkely in his prime was similar. Not as high a leaper but very athletic as well. Just bodied guys down low all game long. could take it coast to coast, elite passer, monster in the boards. Hes a lefty version of chuck, with early blake griffins athleticism.

    I have never watched or followed basketball my entire life, but this kid has literally got me loving basketball. I can appreciate talent when i see it, and to make up for all those years having missed the watching the greats come into the league from an early age and dominate (kobe, lebron etc), i will be sure i wont make that mistake and follow this young mans journey to the top. Undoubtedly will be a great , hope he has a long career injury free.

      @The Truth Health is important. When they say healthy they mean more about physically because of his injuries. He just came off major knee injury and recently had an ankle one. A lot of great prospects in many sports never got to show out because they kept getting injured. I don’t see an issue with ppl hoping he stays healthy. 🤷‍♂️

    I seriously love the young core NOLA has put together. Zion obviously has unrivaled megastar potential but Zo, BI, and Jaxson Hayes can all be stars in the league as well

      I see it as he still has all his explosiveness but is conserving it in a manner to only use it when necessary. He doesn’t need to slam dunk every shot, as you see here he does a small jump and layup to preserve his body from exerting massive forces and avoiding landing collisions to prevent injury. Him and the pelicans strength staff have done very well with fine tuning this.

      He's has alot muscle on him but there is some fat. It would add years to his career to loose 20 to 30 pounds in the off season. And gain like 10 lbs back or muscle. If he stays healthy this kid will be a man one day and has the potential to surpass Lebron James.

He is still a teen (which is scary) may still be growing and still has room to get stronger, faster, and more agile. SCARY what he will be with elite NBA trainers and nutritionists behind him, if he buys into going LeGoat on his training and diet regimen.

    Zion is giving effort that NBA players used to give nightly 20+ years ago, all of these guys are great athletes they have just become accustom to the standing around on offense while 1 guy dribbles or standing around of "defense" because very few give effort there.

      boosted Drimmsu his minutes are restricted due to coming back from an injury. If healthy he’d play more minutes. Not all 48 of course but more than he has been.

    He has so much more than just freak athleticism and people don't get it. He can really read Situations well, is a superb passer for his size and moves so well, like he knows where the ball is gonna land. Hope he remains healthy and we as fans will be blessed 😊

    Still holding back a bit. I suppose its because of such a long NBA season, the coaching staff must be telling him to pace himself.

    As a pelicans fan I cannot be happier for the future. Having 2 kids who are both 22 and under with this bright of a future is amazing. Literally a 1a and 1b . And they both want to just win and get better. Pair that with zo who's the perfect general for both . Hayes is super slept on he reminds me so much of a rookie kg. Naw hart and the draft picks they got coming up . We going to be a problem for all over the next decade
