I agree! DH has way more diversity than most Christian metal bands, and more than most metalcore bands in general, but August Burns Red is probably the 2nd best if anything! Lol!
His vocal performance was fantastic here. He didn't sound any different except where affected by the sound quality of a video capturing a performance where the sound arrangement was meant for a live concert. People expect a live video to sound just like the recording, and that's just not the case unless they were also recording the music for a live album. Even in live albums they edit stuff to make it sound more polished. People assume the vocalist sucks whenever the recording doesn't sound exactly like the album, which is ridiculous.

I've seen DH live and I will tell you they sound amazing live but with their shows its more of the experience than anything else
Hrm.... I know that Ryan can do awesome live vocals. But he messed up here. Or maybe their sound techs messed up so he couldn't hear himself.
TheYacu Yeah, think the crew messed up. The sound overal is like a vocalist's nightmare. Guitar is way too loud and the vocal is really low and same with the drums. No wonder he sang the way he did.

I dont think people give Drummers as much respect, and appreciation as they deserve. Most people just give credit to the Singers, and Guitarists.

etc..its the ones that are memorable and amazing that get the appreciation. The drums in this are better than the vocals. so my appreciation goes to the drummer that can play on time than the off key singing.
