Dude it is very safe here in HSV. This is a great place to live with a bunch of great jobs. DOD makes sure its a great place. Plenty of people with security clearance and most others were checked into lol. Great place. Not perfect but when people think of Alabama they have no clue about Huntsville.

@@VF1Skullangel Bro it’s not safe to walk at night there. Take my word please. I lived there for 10 years. These RUclips nuts are lying to you. Southerners sometimes don’t know how to tell the truth. My brother friend got shot in the back by this black guy there and the guy that shot him was taken to jail. And the convict got out of jail in less than 24 hours. You better know I ain’t lying. Most of Huntsville crimes happens at night. But many crimes happens in the day time. I caught a guy breaking into my neighbors house and I called the police on him. And they locked him up but couldn’t keep him long because he was a teenager. I met a guy that went to Best Buy to buy a big screen tv and appliances for his new apartment that he just had moved into. He went out to eat and came back and his neighbors thought he had changed his mind about the apartment and decided to moved back back out. Because while he was at the restaurant some guys pulled a uhaul up to his apartment and unloaded all his belongings. And this happened in broad daylight. Don’t move to Huntsville. You will regret it if you do….

Raised in Huntsville since age 4. I'm a white guy & spend time in a couple of the hoods regularly visiting friends & co-workers, especially Mason court when it was still around. Never had any problems whatsoever , yet I live by bridge street (The upscale shopping/entertainment area you're showing in this video & been robbed, home/car invaded etc..right where I live & pay over 1k per month for my apartment. I can see the mall from my apartment entrance. Huntsville is a mixed bag. Looks can be deceiving. You won't truly understand this place until you've been here a while and learn what to look out for. It's unlike any other city I've ever been. In both good and bad ways. Best to read the book & then judge it. I will say though , the cops are useless at best so F them and fentanyl is offing people in shocking numbers here. I definitely have some horror stories.

It's a good city to raise a family in, and it's different from other parts of Alabama when it comes to racism and crime. the only issue i had with Huntsville is it's flooded with drugs and they steal a lot in Huntsville but they aren't likely to harm innocent people down there. Cars that were prked in the interior of the mall for salle were shot up. One boy was stopped early by police from shooting another boy. Just last week another shooting happened out there. It's the same demographics that closes down Madison Square Mall. We all know what that demographic is, its not racist to call it out. Thats how the problem gets fixed.

Then on Memorial parkway from university dr north until sparkman and an area near downtown near the old western wear store. Also the areas on drake and bob Wallace in sw Huntsville and newson rd the gas stations in that area attract some ratchet folks. I am from Houston not scared of anyone here but I would avoid those areas at night to avoid the homeless , occasional prostitution and folks begging or asking for rides. I would also avoid them because the cops over there assume everyone is into something bad and follow you around or are just sitting around waiting for any and every reason to pull you over.

March 2022 saw the opening of the Orion Amphitheater about 1 mile from the Bridge Street Mall this guy is filming at Its an outdoor theater modeled after Red Rocks in Colorado & a Greek amphitheater. So far bigger names recently played here were Dave Mathews , Kenny Chesney, etc. Also the local AAA baseball team - Trash Pandas (LA Angels) is the Division winner ( 2 yr old baseball stadium)
Housing has been going up BUT… significantly cheaper than CA NJ and even Nashville which is 1 3/4 hr north of here.
Something he didn’t mention - Huntsville is built around the Red stone arsenal. Plus it was the place after WW2 the USA placed
All those German rocket engineers- which became the bases to NASA which builds all the rocket engines for our space flights. Plus the US Weather Department is based here and within the last decade we’ve had Genomics companies , Blue Origin rockets, Facebook, a number of software gaming companies, Toyota Manufacturing plant,
All of which makes HSV ( Huntsville) the #2 Engineering center in the US. Just behind Silicon Valley - the reason it’s not know is because it’s based around government work mostly
As to the weather - I’m from the midAtlantic area which meant wet springs , hot summers and snow in winter - north Alabama weather is a wet early Spring than a long hot summer well into October and a relatively mild winter. Most snow I’ve ever seen is 2 inches which is gone in a day.
What does Huntsville and the area need - bicycle paths !!! Many of the roads in the Madison area (suburb of HSV) are old narrow farm roads and they don’t have sidewalks or wide enough lanes with shoulders to safely ride on!!! Definitely something I miss. The other thing they could use here are a couple of swim clubs or a water park since we’re 6+ hours north of the greatest beaches in America on the Gulf Coast ( the Red Neck Riviera!!! LOL ) - I’ve traveled all over the US, Canada and parts of Mexico and Yes - the Florida panhandle just below AL has the finest beaches in the country- sand looks like sugar!!!
Negatives - politics in the state is extremely right wing. Which I don’t get - smart people liking dumb things !!! When I first moved here 10 yrs ago 1st thing I saw was a bumper sticker on a pickup in this very mall- which is a great little mall- which read “..Keep the government out of … “””. Which I thought was stupid as shit since the entire economy is based on government work !!!
As the saying goes “… once your out of Huntsville- your in Alabama!! “.

    • @kenfrank3782
      @kenfrank3782 2 года назад

Also with all the engineers around the local High Schools have consistently been in the top 100 in the USA!!!
However not all the schools are like that as AL still underfunds its education departments. Depends on the section of town and the town themselves.

There is diversity black white and mexicans in almost every town in alabama including the small towns. There are actually some small towns in alabama where the hispanic kids in school out number the whites. There are also a shit ton of black and white couples especially out in the country smaller towns. You still lost me on the hating alabama video. I live here and I am not the biggest fan of this state but I have lived in several other states in the past so I have something to compare it to. Alabama is literally one of the least racist states left in America. In Idaho they are 100 times more racist towards blacks then folks in Alabama are. Up north st louis chicago etc. The blacks there are a lot more racist than most southern blacks. Just facts
In the south about the only racist blacks left are the Punk Thugs who live in the Hood. They are racist as DUCK. The older black folks are the shit. Very good people. Alabama is a decent place to live with fairly low cost of living. But politically its corrupt broke and very backwards. Sadly only parts of birmingham, Huntsville and the gulf coast are the only cities worth living in if you want to move to alabama.
You literally lived in the Biggest shit hole in our entire state. Moving to Montgomery was a big mistake and that's on you. Casting a light on Alabama as if Montgomery defines the entire state of alabama is not correct .
Regardless yall made a great choice in moving to florida. Its a better ran state than most other states in our country.

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS You are so wrong brotha . Hispanics are thriving in Alabama . Most of them are starting to buy homes . Many of the cheap homes in the poorer black areas . There fixing them up and doing well .
Hispanics dominate all construction industry in Alabama .

Several large well known Hispanic family’s who actually own there own very large farms in the country . Horses , sxs , 4 wheelers .

There are several old all white apartment complexes in Hoover Alabama that are now all Hispanic.
They even have a huge Publix size all Hispanic grocery store in Pelham Alabama . No one in the store speaks English .
Mexicans thrive in the south period .
From Texas to the Carolina’s .
Alabama supported tighter USA boarders as we all should support that and they got a lot of crap for it .
It’s all good and is what it is but it’s the USA and Mexico government who is responsible for what I am about to tell you .
So many drugs came in and destroyed the hood and poorer blue collar white Americans from Mexico. it destroyed the work force while simultaneously being filled by illegals .
That’s why Hispanics are killing it in the south . New cars home ownership. Yes it takes them longer for the homeownership part because it takes a while to become legal if it’s even an option . Most now actually marry a heavy set white girl so they can become legal . Not being funny or cute when I say that .
      It’s actually a thing .
We should make it easier for law abiding citizens from Mexico to become legal but we can’t let all of Mexico and other countries move to America .
We can’t help the Mexican government because they are the cartel . All in the same there .
That’s the sad part . The Mexican people will have to rise up against the cartel and America military should help and be involved to Take out a large portion of the cartel with the Mexican army fighting with them . But we it’s to corrupt.
Also all the politicians in America and Mexico are corrupt and they just let it happen .
      You talk about diversity .
America has always been diverse so to speak .
But you don’t want to have to much of other counties moving in effecting your culture if it’s for the worst .
Do you want half of china to move here when we are running out of water in the southwest ?
Do you see other cultures moving in and taking over the china workforce or taking over the India workforce or the Japan workforce .?? Real talk .
Not saying it’s right or wrong but cultures should be respected and cherished in all countries .
Unfortunately the woke liberal movement is destroying our culture especially the younger white generations. So soon we will have suffering and very little culture if we don’t fight back as conservatives with values . The non majority is winning right now .
The Hispanic culture and the non violent crime blacks are actually extremely conservatives with family values .
Our country is going to hell in a hand basket and the media and large woke corporation’s are to blame .
They need to sale there products and keep there mouth shut in regards to politics.
But they see it as free advertising which it is so they do it for the money . Not the cause .
Only the real can actually see that .
You will be good in Florida. We are moving there in a couple years also .

They dominate the construction industry Because they will work for less, try it on the military base in Huntsville that has all kind of new construction. I worked on a project on the Army base and there was zero illegals, can't get on base with fake paperwork and skipping over verifying that you are a US citizen.

Forgot to add it is not safe at all in her neighborhood. And it is hard to find either an apartment or house. The places you can afford aren't in safe areas and the areas that are safe you can't afford. At least for young people going our on their own for the first time.
