Great video and I love the history lesson. I especially found the info at 48:49 helpful for my research. Knowing that for the time period of 1855 - 1920 that alien women that marry US citizens receive naturalization helps explain why a female relative that immigrated from Norway in 1912 and married a US citizen in 1919 would show up as naturalized in the 1920 and 1930 US Census when we cannot find any naturalization record.
The 1920 census says that my paternal grandmother was "Na" which I had assumed meant she had to file a petition, but since she married a US citizen, she didn't need to do this?
