When i was making a background music for my game, by that time i haven’t found this video yet, but there’s another way for me to make the background music: I choose the sound “emotional piano” from the library and choose the “starts sound-“ and looped it forever. The same problem occurred so i set the “wait 4 secs” code for one before the sound and after. It still didn’t sound quite right so i faded in and out the music and now it works just fine! :)
@@Zinnea I have! I've been working on this "virtual doll" type of game where you can have conversations and play games with a character. I've had a lot of fun with it and I've used a lot of your tutorials!
Hi Zinnea, hope you’re well. Not sure if you monitor this channel anymore but I have a question. Are there any kids books you recommend for Scratch projects? My daughter is 10 and really enjoys your teaching style but content is limited (I’m sure you have more important things to do) and I want her to continue her learning. Thanks in advance!
i have a question! im making a game where i use multiple music tracks. and one plays on the title screen, and the second one during gameplay. but the title screen starts with a broadcast. and the title track overlaps with the gameplay track, what do i do?
Ooh let me think - Have you already tried adding a broadcast for when gameplay starts (like a broadcast "start game") and when that broadcast is received, stop all sounds before starting to play the gameplay music track?
I have a suggestion. 1. Tell the scratch team to add a transparent and more fonts like fedoka one and other fonts. 2. Also it would be cool if the was a music editor and more effects. Bit crusher, better robot, pitch, etc 3. Make scratch be able to be played on mobile devices. The most suggested feature
The 1st one i bet we are all begging for but the second one i think is not worth it as i think its good enough. The scratch team dont want to make the essentials complicated and you can all ready do mobile.
Hey, I have a question! What if I wanted different music for menu and for when you click play and actually go into the game? Is there someway I can code the music to stop when a button is clicked?
Oh, a great question! Yes, I'd say the best block for that is "stop all sounds" from the sound category. So if you did when green flag clicked forever play sound [music 1] and when this sprite clicked (in the start button sprite) Stop all sounds forever play sound [music 2] That should do it! Let me know if it helps :)
@@ashleyhubbard1041I don’t think it would be very likely she would do this into a video. She would either have to put that into a short or put it into like a top tips video or something

I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to make a custom shop? Like in an adventure game, when the character can go inside a shop and use money to buy things?
Hey zinnea! I hope your doing okay. I was hoping that you would make a video about how to add story to any scratch game. I'm currently making a rpg game but I don't know how to add main storyline to it
Oh that's a really cool tutorial idea, I'm adding that to my list. In the meantime, before I make it, you could start by using the code towards the end of my "how to make a virtual town" tutorial (m.ruclips.net/video/eekrc3Xs9Z0/видео.html), because it shows how to add a character to talk to in your game, and combine that with my tutorial on how to make a story in scratch (m.ruclips.net/video/uv8mbL-MC58/видео.html). Anyway, hope that helps for the time being!
Can you please teach how to make a save system so we can save our games it’s pointless to make a game we’re you can’t save your place so can you please show us how to make own for our games? Please?
I haven't made a video about it yet, but here's a tutorial project I made that teaches you how to do saving and loading, and gives you sample code for it: scratch.mit.edu/projects/471509671/ Hope that helps!
First put a “Green Flag clicked” block, then add your “Play (insert sound name) until done” into a forever loop. That will make it so that this sound is always playing.
In your opinion, what game has the best music? :D
im dont decided :b
Zinnea, Can you please heart this? Im a big fan of Scratch!
Solstice, an NES game, Tim Follin has made some insane music that obliterated the sound chip.
In scratch, it's rainbow magic mouse trail
probably dadish :D

i think you have to put play sound until done instead of start sound

Zinnea I got a tutorial suggestion, a online chilling server, like in a game that you can chat with each other
Tutorial suggestion: Make a tutorial on how to use the clone blocks as they’re not really understood and not much people know what they’re useful for.
