Great content Greg. BTW, I tried the sponge method on a few spots of Dallas Grass, just swiping the larger blade strands with some RoundUp. I did need a quick touch up two days later with some grass paint to cover a bit of collateral damage to the turf (and conceal the dead Dallas), but the technique worked well. Thanks!

Do we put sprayer near base of plant to get the roots and nuggets? Or is it absorbed through the leaves?
Most herbicides are absorbed by the leaves some roots some both. So it depends on which specific one you are using. Generally with heavy organic material like mulch it's harder for the herbicides that are absorbed by the roots to get to the plant. It gets tied up in the mulch. If you let me know which one you are talking about can better help you. If it is a glyphosate product it is only absorbed by the roots.
Can you store mixed Calsius in a sprayer? I know the sedgehammer you cant. I love your videos. Im really getting into my lawn lol..😂😊
Actually I did a little experiment on sledgehammer.. It lasted 1 week and in my case was still effective. Celsius from what I found online says the same thing. So I bet you get a week out of it too. I get both from Amazon in the little 0.22oz packets. it's just cheaper that way and its not an $150 "investment" for the 4 oz bottle.
As far as the gallon jug idea...how long can you keep jug of sedgehammer for?
That is a good question. Likely should have mentioned it. The manufacture Gowan, says use same day of mixing. I would think that is on the "safe side". Likely you would get a week or so before you ran into real issues with control.
The product label for Sedgehammer+ says this: "Do not store SEDGEHAMMER+ in solution. Once the product is mixed with water apply immediately."
I can confirm...I sprayed sedgehammer a week after I mixed it and it worked. Usually they error on the side of caution about efficacy. Also...they can sell you another $15 packet too. Can't guarantee it will work a week after mixing but it did in my case.
