Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
Conductor: Leonard Bernstein
Basso: Kurt Moll
1986
Nice descent to an effortless low D (D2) at the end.
The vibrato on that low D... Wow.
I've never heard basses with technique this excellent. The sound is perfectly clear. He hit the low note very easily at the end
That low D was massive and well projected!
Such a superb basso just magnificent my favourite bass clear as a bell no woofie fake distortions of emission like some others

Herr Moll : Wunderbarer Bassist
this moment is so dark and beautiful 0:32
Dude, he is singing about the creation of the world by Gott, whats dark about that, its all the contrary
@@alexj.denton7453 its about the feeling of the music not necessarily the lyrics
@@binosamaladen still, I don't want retards saying this is dark
@@alexj.denton7453 bro but the moment in fact is dark and beautiful. the vibe of the music is dark. the lyrics say otherwise i agree but he was talking about the charakter of the music
As a young Bass, I want to be able to do this some day
Magnífico Kurt Moll 👏👏👏
1:44 love this part
indefinitely the best ever! LOVE Kurt Moll.
In my humble opinion, Avi Kaplan and Kurt Moll are the basses with the most beautiful voice that i've ever heard, that power...i'm speechless.
You should check out Mikhail Zlatopolsky, Vladimir Pasyukov, and Glenn Miller (not the band leader Glenn Miller, the vocalist)!
Cesare Siepi had a nice voice too.
Bernard Ladysz Haunted Manor Moniusko beautiful bass voice
Herr Moll will be ever the best bass that ever existed
immeralles besserwisser For all that you cited just Frick is the same type of bass of Moll. Both are bassos profondos. The others were excellent bassos cantabiles. So, it's impossible to compare.
I don't hear three voices. ??
He's the Pavarotti of Bass. Unparalleled.
Wanderfull and perfect basso
Haydn would've been so proud.
From the high D to the low D ... such utter perfection ... that God made the voice that would represent Him so well here ... and knew that Kurt Moll would honor that gift and care for it and express it with such respect and joy and power and skill ... this was AMAZING, all the way around!
HERMOSO
His timbre is very similar to contrabass on this low D
Well he may be a basso profundo naturally, but he is obviously trained for power and higher range.
@@BluevesPL his speaking voice reaches E1 :) he of course is but his high notes just destryed me. F4 like nothing. basso profonfo...... his technique is world best
SIMPLEMENTE MAGISTRAL
Monumentale
Ottimo vibrato, voce vellutata e bellissima, austera e profonda, ma dolce e delicata allo stesso tempo.
Seid fruchtbar, wachset, mehret euch, erfreuet euch in eurem Gott.
God created whales and ev’ry living creature.
And God blessed them, saying:
Be fruitful all. And multiply, ye winged tribes. Be multiply’d and sing on ev’ry tree. Multiply, ye finny tribes, and fill each wat'ry deep.
Be fruitful, grow, and multiply. And in your God and Lord rejoice.
i see that little grin kurt, i see it
You have to watch him every second... his joy in singing is always peeking out, almost bursting at the seams ... one of the things I love ...

Fascinating. Thank you.
Que beleza. Saudações do Brasil.
Vale pena viver! Simplesmente! Obrigado!
Excellent
Very great singing.

Brilliant!
(I'm pretty sure that final low D was optional; I don't believe Haydn or his contemporaries wrote bass parts that low. I think F (a la Sarastro) was considered the limit for the relatively light-voiced basses of the era.)
It very much depended on the singers a part was written for. Mozart wrote several "D's" into Osmin's part because Ludwig Fischer, who sang the premiere had the note.

Can someone translate what he's saying? Thanks
And god made big walefishes and every living creature that moves. And god blessed them saying: be fertile. Reproduce you creatures of the sea (and also other animals)
And be delightet in your god
