What a great looking MPV, can definitely see it picking me up from Heathrow. Also props to you with this video, you seem to be a lot more confident and quick-firing and your presentations improve with each video. Good job!
Can’t wait for this to arrive in the UK… Well needed Hopefully it gives a kick up the backside to the other manufacturers to wake up to 7 seaters that are affordable
so i just realize that your channel have lots of toxic comments from people stuck in the past and cant let go of the fact china starts to really make some nice cars in the last years and ramping up to dominate or at least shake the market up.
@@InsideChinaAuto 🥸 you know it... dont worry bro i am here with you. actually i am happy the whole world thinks asia is terrible. otherwise too many people would come here to ruin it again. we know better is enough
Awesome car! I love the design, quality, color combination... 😍😍😍😍😍 Great drone shots, and the area where yoy drove was incredibly well manicured 😁😁 Thank you very much for showing us the car in a so hot day 😅😅😅
@@InsideChinaAuto Because of your videos, my opinion on China has changed, as it looks stunning, with every place really clean and lots of security cameras, which I guess gives good people more peace of mind 😅 You chose wisely when you moved there 😉😉
@deltajohnny Haha. You should visit, see it for yourself. Everyone changes their mind. It's not perfect by any means and of course I try to pick attractive places or ones with less people, just makes it easier to film without disturbance, but on the whole I'd say it's no worse than any other place, and it is very safe, that's true. There's stuff you can do here you'd never dream of doing in the UK or the US, like leaving bikes and cars unlocked without fear.
Lots of interesting stand-out features and extremely clean design! And great review! It does seem odd to open the glovebox and the fridge drawer in the rear via screen menu system though. Feels counterintuitive when you could easily reach to open. Haptic window switches and the big tablet display with nested climate menus is also unfortunate. Wish there were more physical controls. Lots of ways to design lovely switches, buttons etc. That would coincide with the overall design!
Not yet but it should be. Not confirmed but since it's a British brand they'll almost certainly sell it there and then it wouldn't make any sense not to include Europe.
I've noticed that most new large size MPVs these days don't seem to have a proper rear bumper (only a small protuding bumper beneath the rear door), its the rear door with those big glass panels that apparently will take the full brunt of any rear impact before the cell/pillar cage is able to diffuse the force throughout the vehicle; those tiny bumper is probably only effective when reversing slow speed into a wall or pole...
I think the technology is so good now that they don't need pronounced crumple zones or huge bumpers. The bodies and gigacasted components are strong enough on their own.
I did have the air con on but it's a big car and the doors are all open. They can fight the humidity but only so much. Bear in mind I'd been presenting out in the sun for a good 45 minutes or so before I got in.
Nice looking and a good price. I would've liked to have seen the controls, I hate all the button stuff for gear selecting and handbrakes, not only do you feel disconnected but it something else to go wrong. I wonder if it will come in right hand drive?
What an impressive vehicle! One day the German manufacturers will realise that they have dropped to third place in innovation and design, behind both China and Korea. (PS - please don't take BOTH hands off the steering wheel, ever. It is sloppy and risky - and in the UK illegal)
@@InsideChinaAutoYeah, it is really spacious. The cheap Air version is lacking quite a few features, though. Not sure which version offers the best value overall
It was super hot and humid that day and I'd just come from presenting outside so was already hot. With the air con on and doors open it's still warm and I'm not exactly slim, so a combination of factors. One of the reasons why I love where I live. It never gets as hot as there. Even the camera kept overheating.
it looks better than the 009 for sure...but this is for a different segment i think which is more corporate...009 not my taste at all and the X9 over that one any day... looks wise this is as good or almost as good as the X9..a bit like Li 9 from front..
@@InsideChinaAuto it is strange how they can get those cars to these price levels! i saw other configurations of the same vehicle with large TV screen etc... it will be double the price when exported for sure...if they price it low people will suspect its quality :)
@saleh45251 True. One reason is the cost benefits of sharing the SEA platform I think, even if they modified it a bit, but the 009 also came down massively in price recently too despite getting better in every area. Mind-boggling.
@InsideChinaAuto As you can probably surmise looking from the outside, we certainly have a bunch of idiots running the show here. I added a new word to my vocabulary recently: Kakistocracy

Glad you think so. Maybe having less time makes me a better presenter, or maybe having a camera person.
Said you had little time to review the car, yet it was still utterly comprehensive. Plus you've left me with car envy.
Takes a lot of homework the day before to know your stuff ready to cover the interior in one take and the driving in two.
Cool car! But the enviroment is stunning... Wow! 👍
Hangzhou is a beautiful city

Let's hope it keeps a decent price there. Absolute mammoth this thing, super plush.

No problem. Was about 38C at least. The area we filmed is just stunning. Always great for a review.

Indeed, and there are smart ways to make them without all the complexity as well that engineers dislike.
Great review, as always!
Cheers Pete
Nice. It is around the same price as the 009 which also starts at 439k, 459k for the dual motor and 469k for the 6 seaters DM version.
Yeah. Honestly, a lot bigger inside and with the bonus of screens and two layers of reclining seats. It's very impressive for the money.
Reminds me of the Toyota Previa from the 90's. Good video
Indeed, though I bet that was much much smaller.

I’d take that over a Range Rover. Beautiful cabin. But why haven’t you got the air on?

Nice
It's great. Lovely car.
Meaow :3
Meaow indeed.
Indeed. It's stunning scenery around there and better traffic.
I don't understand why we don't have this kind of minivans here in the United States.
Maybe your government understands (hint - they don't like competition)
Looks like your seat is pretty short there?
Lovely interior.
Think the seats were generally fine. Driver's seat is always a bit of a second class citizen in this industry though. The focus is on the back.
Nice looking and a good price.

Will almost certainly come in RHD as it's supposed to be a British brand.

It's a fantastic car and brilliant value.

Very similar colour. Haha
Is this car in the same league as the 009? Seems quite a bit cheaper.
It is cheaper but there's very little between them in my opinion. This is even better in some areas, especially having two rows of captain's seats.
