I have been heading to Vault 76 before I log out and drop extra weapons, ammo, and aid etc. for people emerging from the vault. Helps them have a nice head start to have a .44 cal or hunting rifle and a couple hundred rounds of ammo. Keeps my weight down and makes people happy.
I always give gifts to newer players. Stimpaks, psycho, a level 50 legendary weapon for the luls. I even gave a young man a bottle of whiskey today. He rejected it. Feels bad.

They didn't explain the card system very well the first day, I knew you could switch through the cards once you selected by scrolling but not during the pick process. I found it out by accident

@@jocs2222 Yeah it has alot of issue and lazy decisions but when thousands know that and want it fixed still have fun you guys that hate it shouldn't go mental and call names like children. Not saying you did but plenty with your same exact sentence and thought get psychotic levels aggressive that anyone has fun. That's acting like Destiny and it's Sequel doesn't exist. People find fun in broken games sometimes. Or maybe it's bad but not as unrealistically bad as people keep saying it's no NV but it's not at all ride to hell.
Putting my fusion cores (8 Cores) in the power armor made them disappear except the one to power the suit. They didn't drop on the ground, they're gone. Other than that, great tips. Just use caution with your fusion cores.
@@landonmoser34 I agree. Power armor is really overrated too. It's really only used best in radiated areas. It's clunky, has bad Ui, is annoying to upkeep, costs fusion cores... Just get a few defensive perks and you're GTG.

Good tips, I have the same problem with plastic, I found the school up by the airport has lots of plastic pumpkins and I can usually pick up about 70 plastic in one pass
and make sure you are totally suffering the limbs stretch bug from Fallout 4 2015.....which they never fixed and then ported right the way into this game...unfixed. This is such a shoddy fucking mess.
Currently ranked 15 and have been playing for a quite a few hours now and didn't even know about the bulking junk option. And as far as as the finding plastic issue, I seem to run across plastic spoons often in buildings when looking in desks and file cabinets. Loved the video. I really appreciated it
Morgantown Highscool is awesome for plastic 15min run for roughly 150 plastic. Chem bench available. Plastic pumpkins all over, plates and golf balls in the gymnasium.
i don't know how you manage to get that many plastics at the MT high school. Say what you want but I only ever get 40-60 plastic when I make my run through there. I must be missing something.

Yet I've never even heard of the Fallout Francise until my friends got me into 76 and I didn't watch or hear about Fallout stuff until I got 76 in February and now I'm a general with all the power armors in 76 except the ultracite one and I'm level 32 I think. I've gotten to know the entire Francise of Fallout in a short time

You can get cards that buff your defence/DR with Strength as well. That goes for one or two other useful categories too so you can essentially have a tank at the end.
An excellent video. Made me realize that Bethesda didn’t even give up a prerelease character builder app/site to practice pre game. Lucky I had seen this when I did. It’s not to late to arrange things better.
Another good spot for plastic farming is Morgantown HS, and the crazy cat lady's house just outside of Morgantown. There is also the Driving Range south of Flatwoods that has golf balls and baskets. Hitting up all of those, i used to get over 120 plastic on average

Thanks. This explains many things. Here I thought I had to perfect weapons and how to use them. I have had trouble making repairs and currently at level 25. I keep getting killed. I didn't know anything about the power fist. it seems I have missed saving a lot of bullets for it now and need to bump up the strength. Consequently, I run out of bullets, stimpacs and generally have been rotting from radiation. The vendors give me one or two caps for weapons at top condition. Bulk sells so cheap I could never afford to buy one back. The cards are confusing and didn't know how to load them or change them correctly until this video. I need to make more glue and visit Camden park. I bought a headset with a mic but few seem to talk anyway. Communication is some silly waves or an invite. I have had more reincarnations than Buddha in this game. I have a tough time making friends it seems. One player actually killed me and took my stuff. (Here I thought the vault dwellers were in this together.) Forget calling for help unless you are on a team I guess. When I just revived from trying to kill a flying critter with a fat man, I accidentally killed other players at the golf course doing it. Wasn't much good a defending against a team. I was badged as an outlaw many times just for shooting up robots that shot me near a prison. Also left the civil war reenactment fort an outlaw for accidentally dinging a robot. I know its a game for the younger crowd and my grand daughter was playing this game and gave it up. So I took over the game, got hooked. I sort of got some things right. Thanks for the help.
@Channel5 Gaming Another quick plastic stop is the fishing shack just barely north of your current farm. Off to the west side by the river is a space monkey and a ton of golf balls takes only a minute to grab a nice pile of plastic. Also refreshes on server hopping though I've noticed more people farming this as of late, I'm assuming a RUclipsr covered it. Nice tip video as well, going to create a melee build with some of your healer elements today. My first build is more range and vats and it's a bit of a boring play though effective. But face tanking and grabbing everything could be fun as well.
The special point/perk card picking solved a problem where I accidentally picked an additional rifleman card when picking perception. Not realizing I had the card at 3 already I ended up with and extra point in perception and no card to put in it. RNJesus hates perception cards when I get card packs... So, thank you so much!
Best F76 tips vid I've seen since launch. I'm lvl 21 and I can't believe i didnt know bulking junk reduced weight. Question, does Pack Rat reduce the weight of Everything in your junk tab? Someone on another vid said scrapped and bulk junk isn't affected, that it needs to be "desk fan" to have weight reduced. Which I thought was ridiculous
IT's 100% reduced. As mentioned in this video I usually keep ALOT of my bulk junk on me cause i'm planning on selling it. When i remove 100 pounds of bulk junk from my stash, I only see 25 pounds of junk added to my player. This is risky business though, as you risk losing your bulk junk on death. This is why playing a medic is also kinda nice! ;)
@@Hakultair Im sure they will patch this. Seems like an un-intentional bug. Bulking is still good for vendoring. Bulk the aluminum and lead, then bulk whatever you plan to sell.

@@Hakultair I came to say the same thing. The only reason bulking the other stuff reduces weight is because you're using up the plastic in the process. I don't think they are going to change it. Why would 20 pounds of bulk steel weigh less than 20 pounds of loose steel scrap? Pretty sure bulking is just for selling and trading.
You are very knowledgeable and informative, a natural teacher. I almost blew you off because your video opened with a couple minutes or more of characters playing around wasting time to make a long video full of nothing, wandering around unprepared, trying to be witty and risque. As someone who wants to spend his free time being a better player and learning how, I've wasted a lot of time, a few minutes at a time on players who are stumbling through an area for the first time wasting my time. Maybe you should start as the serious, knowledgeable, mature, trust worthy, efficient guide you turn into a few minutes later. You don't need to be stiff, but serious and knowledgeable mean your viewers can spend more free time playing their game better than they would without your help. You have a lot to offer many who need it, you might try presenting yourself and what you have to offer for what you have early in.. Probably boost your subscribers and donations. God knows who blew you off because of their time wasted by those who didn't understand their viewers wanted to learn as much as they can, to be as good as they can, as fast as they can. You've got talent, skill and knowledge, it is needed.
I appreciate the feedback. In terms of what you're asking me to do. Be serious and get into things faster. I think i did that here? I was expressing how there arn't any good tips and tricks online which frustrated me, so i was compelled to make my own. Then I say, let's dive into it. It's pretty quick introduction no? The footage in the background was a strategy to sort of counter balance my serious approach with something playful in the background. This is RUclips after all, and if people arn't entertained constantly their retention span drops. Figured some footage there would be entertaining while I explain why I wanted to make this video. Rather than say, a logo, or boring footage in the background. I suppose I could skip the introduction all together and start the video immediately after the intro too. But I've seen plenty of successful videos that have lengthy 1-3 minute intros without actually getting into it. Mine only took 30 seconds. I appreciate the compliments too. I have come to learn from people here, and my history growing up as a gamer. That I am more of a teacher than anything. While good at games, I'm no MLG Ninja. My strengths are being charismatic and "preaching" if you will. While also having a good time packed full of hilarious moments. You will find my channel is loaded with funny moments montages, and guides. I like the balance of serious and playful. I'm contemplating moving over to streaming in 2019. To keep my playfulness there, while also teaching as i go. I will stop once a week to make some guide videos. Right now I find I only get to actually play 4-8 hours a week, since I spend so much time editing. Which means I'm lacking the time to learn things, too then be able to teach things. Which has me re-evaluating my process. So it's time to take some risks and start fresh in a different avenue I think. I hope it works out! :)
Your intro was shorter than it seemed, had it been a minute or more I probably would have missed your content, and I suspect others who've spent too much time trying to find guides like you would and may have also, because too many presenters are not well prepared and fill their video time with being playful, first run exploration, and a lot of shooting, or melee footage we'd rather me making ourselves. The graphic was for me distracting, your voice over kept me on, but I was not really frustrated with the game and pressed for time because of glitches, the frustrations of the game, and posers presenting a guides wasting my free time. The game has a lot of potential, I can't get my money back to try it again later if it isn't dropped over the winter like Mass Effect Andromeda, I feel it was deliberately misrepresented, I am trying to make the best of it. Remember the Todd Howard interview shortly after the 76 reveal where he was asked is this a simple player RPG, or a multi player? For traditional dedicated fans, or to attract new players? Primarily PVP, or something else? And he answered yes to all, and was very evasive. It's on RUclips. I was dedicated fanboy enough to believe and trust him, rushed to buy in to be part of the BETA, and this may crash and burn like Mass Effect Andromeda over the winter. I have a job and family responsibilities from school children to aging relatives. Like many long ago players my free time is priceless. It would be fair if they made this a stable stand alone DLC version that didn't require servers. One modders could help us personalize into the experience we paid for. It might prove more popular than this re]ease. A longtime favorite franchise and long anticipated release seems to have taken our money, kicked us and our game play style to the curb, and we can't play what we paid for without a server, if too many walk away. How many would have bought this if they were honest about our rights and freedoms to customize our own game where it would not infringe of the experience of other players by modding our download on our personal system? Good and trusted guides are priceless to those suckered onto and trapped on what appears a sinking ship.
@@Thomas-ju2jn I can't disagree with anything you said. And honestly, i'm holding my breathe for those private servers. As It will change everything! We would likely see a massive resurgence of interest. We could add our own settlers, big settlements, actually rebuild the wasteland and make use of our endless junk collection. I'm planning on releasing my final wave of 13 videos I have ready. From there I will cover updates and news. However, after this i would have made over 55 videos on the game and i'm out of content ideas. If private servers were a thing, I could make endless build videos, spotlights of other peoples creations, and much much more. The game would be long lasting for a content creator like myself. Having said that, I will make a big return when that happens. :)

I have made the same point to people about intelligence, however it is beneficial to have high Intel if you use power armor often. Power Patcher for instance has to stay equipped or half of its benefit doesn't work.
Nice video. Another tip I found the other night. antiseptic doesn't bulk and can be sold to vendors one at a time. I didn't realize this because I periodically bulk everything over 200 of an item in my stash for vendoring but the antiseptic didn't bulk so accumulated almost 500 antiseptic in my stash without noticing it. I think there were a couple of junk items that don't bulk so if you bulk items to sell you may have missed this.
you can also store extra armor pieces on power armor chasis if they are higher level if you take the pieces off and claim the frame then put the pieces back on then when it is recalled to you inventory you have the armor stored away for later
Excellent VIDEO Thank you! I started 76 just after Christmas, and followed all your tips - they have been very helpful, in particular the Perk point / Perk Card switch trick. Your comment about Melee being OP is true, but I am surprised at how hard it seems to kill those scorched with a Power fist. Add Agility instead of Charisma, then you get an awesome build. 15 STR, 14 AGL with Marsupial, twisted muscles & speed demon. I killed a Death Claw that popped up in front of me in the Mire with a Combat Knife. Six stabs to the gut, of which FIVE were in stealth, since I hit so fast it took that long for stealth to break. One shot Wendigos, and all of the Ghouls in the resort starting at about level 35. I can now clear the entire building at lvl 60 in just a few minutes w/o breaking stealth.
I've put in a few dozen hours so far, and only up to level 34. This is by far the most useful info I've come across, especially the swapping of perks and how they stack up in detail. Stuff I guess I hadn't thought about so far (too busy wandering the wasteland...). Thanks!
Super duper is a great card, I love it but it doesn’t apply to repairs. the card says “Crafting” not repairing so 400% powerarmor isn’t possible sadly :(
It only applies to certain things, so bulking doesn’t work with super duper, but making ammo does and it can really help you with making your money’s worth, or making food and water
1.Thunder mountain power plant gives u fusion cores if u repair there is a fusion core generator that u connect to the Powerplant box outside ( the power plant gives electricity on multiple locations
I know this is an old video but tip #5 can also be weirdly achieved by the healing factor mutation. It doesn't reduce any weight but you heal so fast outside of combat that you won't need as many stimpacks. I am lever 65 right now and I only carry a max or 10-20 stims on me just for mid combat emergency healing and If I surpass a certain threshold I ether sell them to a vender or put them pretty cheap in my player shops. Also the Sun kissed perk does the same thing for radiation but only during the day so I carry a slightly larger stash of radaways so that I can heal them as night.
Loving all these videos. Not sure if anyone pointed it out, but only the cups with straws give you plastic. We did a full round of picking up cups before we noticed.
Psssst dude if you're still having trouble getting plastic, head over to Morgan town high school. With the scrapper perk you can get about 140 plastic if no one has touched it yet. It's the first stop I hit when I log on to a new server (unless I've already hit it that day)
Could you explain to me why you bulk wrap, besides selling? It seems to be just a waste of plastic to me. I compared the weight of standard scrap to bulk scrap and about 500 pounds of junk made no difference. And when a bulk item gets involved in a repair, im fairly sure it consumes the whole bulk count instead of breaking it down. I could be wrong on that last one, but i really see no point in bulking items
Bulking scrap doesn’t reduce weight by very much (it can actually increase it in some cases, so I’ve heard), but does make a valuable product. Absolutely grab all the plastic you can.
If you aren’t high enough level for power armor just take off all of the armor get in the chassis then get back out and place all of the armor on it. The chassis will be auto collected with the armor still on it and placed in your inventory
@@ninjamastermike Just get whatever is available to you. I got inspirational up to level 3, then pharma farma, then new cards start unlocking as you level. get what you can and fill the build up.
I need somewhere to vent because I was playing fallout 76 while watching this video I love fallout 76 I think it has potential but it is infested with bugs like while I was just playing I put all 9 of my fusion cores in my power armor chassis but when I interned the suit they all disappeared I no longer have any fusion cores I would have had more but since the damn stash is the size of a morbidly obese man instead of a small army (which it should be the size of a small army) due to this game pushing the idea of always having to pick up what you find but completely contradicts that with storage space and it’s not because they chose to do that it’s because their engine is the same engine used to run games such as LEGO island 2 and clash of clans like honestly this game is a joke this is just raw venting unedited and I can name more issues off the top of my head than I can list the total issues for games such as life of black tiger my friend was dropping me his harpoon gun for me to see and check out it completely disappeared same thing happened with his fat man also I had 999+ fusion cells I found an assaultron head I wanted to test it out so I shot one bullet and all 999+ bullets gone I go to repair armor then I put it on automatically breaks when I attempt to put it on or wear it this game has waaaay too many bugs welcome to Appalachia where t posing ghouls roam the wastes and teleporting protections watch over the numerous buildings with unloaded textures oh and did I forget to mention that we like to treat our guests servers that like to shut down every 2 seconds also go check out the many haunted locations where you kill an enemy and their body disappears in front of your eyes where did it go I wonder who knows we may never know but I digress there are too many issues to list off here all in all I love the game I love fallout as a whole I’ve been playin since 3 I have gotten both collector editions from 4 and 76 because I am willing to spend a arm and a leg on this franchise that how much I love it but I can’t stand and watch such a unique and interesting game get overrun with bugs I got on as soon as the patch downloaded that was supposed to fix bugs and what happens you may wonder nothing much just another game breaking glitch whatever I will come back and play when this game is functional
I agree. Firstly, I love the fallout franchise and I’m still having a ton of fun with this game. However, it’s so painfully obvious that it was released too early and isn’t nearly as finished as it should be. Bethesda games are known to be buggy, but 76 takes the cake.
here's one of the OP classes that I built and allows you to solo kill any scorch beast, mirelurk queen or anything. Get skeet shooter, Max out your shotgun perks, and get the enforcer card you'll want to Max enforcer out first before any of this but skeet shooter Max is needed for scorch beast. How this works is enforcer maxed out gives you a 30% chance to cripple a limb which means you have a high chance to cripple a limb so if you being rushed or attacked shoot the legs of you opponent forcing them to walk, for a queen cripple her snouts then her legs. What you need skeet shooter for is concentrated fire on a point and to help you cripple a Scorch beast while it's in the air, you'll want to aim at the wings, and maxed out shotgun perks cards allow you to completely destroy the limbs of anything you fight. If you do have all shotgun damage perks it only allows you to have 6 open slots for a maxed out strength so be weary for that.

Just an FYI, to pick master locks you still need at least 4 points in perception. I thought I would reduce the cost and just keep 3 points for my explosives build, but you actually have to equip all 3 picklock cards at the same time to pick a level 3 safe.

- Bulking items doesn't reduce weight. - Storing fusion cores in your power armor has a (high?) chance to delete them, due to bugs (the stacking power armor bug?). - Vendors NEVER reset their caps, not sure if this is a bug on my end or what, but mine have been sitting at 0 since I emptied them. - Server hopping to farm mats is effectively cheating. "Clever use of game mechanics". Haven't seen game design that bad since EA DayZ. Hopefully they fix loot. - Melee build is rubbish. Upgrade a hunting rifle and you can 1shot every enemy before they even see you, without ever taking damage, so you don't need 999 stimpacks, which, in turn, makes half of these other tips rubbish as well. Its sad what an underdeveloped, untested, glorified mod FO76 is. They should have just added coop to FO4.

If you put your power cores in your power armor, they'll get deleted. If you waste your time fast traveling to vendors with 0 caps in stock, you're just throwing caps away. If you bulk a bunch of items, all you'll accomplish is throwing away plastic. This video should either have corrected annotations covering the entire thing, or just be deleted entirely for misinformation. You want a real tricky tip for FO76? Don't waste your money on FO76.

Maybe they've patched it since you recorded this, but bulk wrapping items does not reduce their weight at all. In fact, with rank 3 Pack Rat, bulk wrapped items weight slightly more than the equivalent amount of loose junk items (according to the Fallout wiki). That might be a bug, and hopefully they'll fix it. I used so much plastic on my character bulk-wrapping stuff because I watched this video before I started playing, but my weight never seemed to go down, so I did some research and found out I'd wasted all that plastic, lol. But things change all the time in MMOs so it's not your fault - still some really good tips in the video. I'm going to check out "Tips & Tricks 02" next. Thanks for the hard work!

For those that lost a lot of fusion cores, a good tip I found was before you log out, put your lowest powered fusion core in your armour, get in it and when you log back in, it will be 100% full
Another fun place to get plastic is Morgantown high school there are plastic pumpkins everywhere and in the kitchen there are tons of plastics forks and spoons. Its a good place to get plastic, i go to Camden park and then to the high school and server hop while after that. EDIT: The whitesprings resort is also good because of all the gold balls which have 1 plastic each
For the #3 tip you can pick up any power armor even when underleveled. Just put all the armor on a chassis and wait the 60 seconds it takes to auto return
I still like having pharma farma even with chemist. When I am in camp crafting I put on the chemist. Kinda like when I'm selling to the robot vendors I equip my bargain perk, but after I'm done selling I put my partboy back on. Gottal love that 4 STR buff from whiskey :D

If you already have Chemist and First-Aid but are low on ingredients for stimpacks, Healing Salves would work in a pinch. Use Green Thumb to harvest 2x Blood Roots and Soot Flowers up and down the river next to Flat Woods. you can easily make a hundred healing salve. NOTE: Healing Salve do not have the BURST a stimpack does. They heal the 20% slowly.

If you log out and log back in while in power armour with a power core in it that is partly used it refills it I tested it and it doesn’t just swap it out (on Xbox at least)
Strength only gives an additional 1 damage to melee weapons. That doesn't mean melee is not incredibly OP, but it's not due to your strength but the raw damage numbers are just high.

I used to sell bulk adhesive to make money. At level 3 Hard Bargain that's 20 caps per bundle. Then I figured out that I could sell the raw materials to make that bundle, the corn, mutfruit, tatos and water for 150 caps almost 8 times as much.

I have to say thank you. Your video helped me out immensely. I had huge problems with 3 aspects before I watched your video. Storage, Storage, plastic. You literally saved my butt. I'm not really a team player so all your stuff with that as nice as that is I just use Lone Wander instead. It took me several hours of logging in and out to get all the plastic I needed but I finally got everything I scavenged in bulk it was a huge boost to me. The nice thing is every time I reloaded I also got fusion cores. Now I have 10 haha and your tip for that is very handy too. I also got to say thanks for the stimpak advice. I diluted all that and got the card and wow its op. Love it. Also your right on the nose about Hand to hand combat. It is way op. I mean I was just drilling people with ammo never felt I was doing real damage. I started my build out as a Sniper one shot kills were my plan. Yet that didn't work. But I am one shotting people in melee and it is insane. With stems its even better. Thank you so much for the video.

Can’t you just increase stash limit
I have been heading to Vault 76 before I log out and drop extra weapons, ammo, and aid etc. for people emerging from the vault. Helps them have a nice head start to have a .44 cal or hunting rifle and a couple hundred rounds of ammo. Keeps my weight down and makes people happy.

I always give gifts to newer players. Stimpaks, psycho, a level 50 legendary weapon for the luls. I even gave a young man a bottle of whiskey today. He rejected it. Feels bad.

@@jocs2222 Yeah it has alot of issue and lazy decisions but when thousands know that and want it fixed still have fun you guys that hate it shouldn't go mental and call names like children. Not saying you did but plenty with your same exact sentence and thought get psychotic levels aggressive that anyone has fun. That's acting like Destiny and it's Sequel doesn't exist. People find fun in broken games sometimes. Or maybe it's bad but not as unrealistically bad as people keep saying it's no NV but it's not at all ride to hell.
Putting my fusion cores (8 Cores) in the power armor made them disappear except the one to power the suit. They didn't drop on the ground, they're gone. Other than that, great tips. Just use caution with your fusion cores.
Honestly man I have too many fusion cores. They weigh 3 pounds each,had to start dropping ones less than 50 percent charge

@@landonmoser34 I agree. Power armor is really overrated too. It's really only used best in radiated areas. It's clunky, has bad Ui, is annoying to upkeep, costs fusion cores... Just get a few defensive perks and you're GTG.
Remember to remove them before entering your power armor.

Good tips, I have the same problem with plastic, I found the school up by the airport has lots of plastic pumpkins and I can usually pick up about 70 plastic in one pass

Batteries included a intelligence perk card Max at 3 decreases the weight of fusion cores by 90% if you plan on using power armour you need this
Tip #1. Bring a bath robe for a nice healthy breeze.
and make sure you are totally suffering the limbs stretch bug from Fallout 4 2015.....which they never fixed and then ported right the way into this game...unfixed. This is such a shoddy fucking mess.

Currently ranked 15 and have been playing for a quite a few hours now and didn't even know about the bulking junk option. And as far as as the finding plastic issue, I seem to run across plastic spoons often in buildings when looking in desks and file cabinets. Loved the video. I really appreciated it
Morgantown Highscool is awesome for plastic 15min run for roughly 150 plastic. Chem bench available. Plastic pumpkins all over, plates and golf balls in the gymnasium.

Yet I've never even heard of the Fallout Francise until my friends got me into 76 and I didn't watch or hear about Fallout stuff until I got 76 in February and now I'm a general with all the power armors in 76 except the ultracite one and I'm level 32 I think.

When you goto Camden park, go take over the dirt track acrossed the street. Then you can farm both at the same time & trust me it helps.

You can get cards that buff your defence/DR with Strength as well. That goes for one or two other useful categories too so you can essentially have a tank at the end.

to be fair melee has always been the powerhouse as long as you stick through it's weak start
Another good spot for plastic farming is Morgantown HS, and the crazy cat lady's house just outside of Morgantown. There is also the Driving Range south of Flatwoods that has golf balls and baskets. Hitting up all of those, i used to get over 120 plastic on average

Thanks. This explains many things. Here I thought I had to perfect weapons and how to use them. I have had trouble making repairs and currently at level 25. I keep getting killed. I didn't know anything about the power fist. it seems I have missed saving a lot of bullets for it now and need to bump up the strength. Consequently, I run out of bullets, stimpacs and generally have been rotting from radiation. The vendors give me one or two caps for weapons at top condition. Bulk sells so cheap I could never afford to buy one back.
The cards are confusing and didn't know how to load them or change them correctly until this video. I need to make more glue and visit Camden park.
I bought a headset with a mic but few seem to talk anyway. Communication is some silly waves or an invite.
I have had more reincarnations than Buddha in this game. I have a tough time making friends it seems. One player actually killed me and took my stuff. (Here I thought the vault dwellers were in this together.) Forget calling for help unless you are on a team I guess.
When I just revived from trying to kill a flying critter with a fat man, I accidentally killed other players at the golf course doing it. Wasn't much good a defending against a team. I was badged as an outlaw many times just for shooting up robots that shot me near a prison. Also left the civil war reenactment fort an outlaw for accidentally dinging a robot.
I know its a game for the younger crowd and my grand daughter was playing this game and gave it up. So I took over the game, got hooked. I sort of got some things right. Thanks for the help.

Another quick plastic stop is the fishing shack just barely north of your current farm. Off to the west side by the river is a space monkey and a ton of golf balls takes only a minute to grab a nice pile of plastic. Also refreshes on server hopping though I've noticed more people farming this as of late, I'm assuming a RUclipsr covered it.
Nice tip video as well, going to create a melee build with some of your healer elements today. My first build is more range and vats and it's a bit of a boring play though effective. But face tanking and grabbing everything could be fun as well.
Melee trades Ammo for stim pack usage
JRaww not with the 300% health regen mutation and a passive regen buff. You heal instantly out of combat. But early game you blow through stim packs
not really your one shotting most enemies i hardly ever use a stim pack i mostly just pop some random food item i found and keep on truckin

The special point/perk card picking solved a problem where I accidentally picked an additional rifleman card when picking perception. Not realizing I had the card at 3 already I ended up with and extra point in perception and no card to put in it. RNJesus hates perception cards when I get card packs... So, thank you so much!

Question, does Pack Rat reduce the weight of Everything in your junk tab? Someone on another vid said scrapped and bulk junk isn't affected, that it needs to be "desk fan" to have weight reduced. Which I thought was ridiculous
IT's 100% reduced. As mentioned in this video I usually keep ALOT of my bulk junk on me cause i'm planning on selling it. When i remove 100 pounds of bulk junk from my stash, I only see 25 pounds of junk added to my player. This is risky business though, as you risk losing your bulk junk on death. This is why playing a medic is also kinda nice! ;)
Bulking items actually only reduces weight for Lead and Aluminium, all other junk will NOT weigh less bulked, some even more!
@@Hakultair Im sure they will patch this. Seems like an un-intentional bug. Bulking is still good for vendoring. Bulk the aluminum and lead, then bulk whatever you plan to sell.

@@Hakultair I came to say the same thing. The only reason bulking the other stuff reduces weight is because you're using up the plastic in the process. I don't think they are going to change it. Why would 20 pounds of bulk steel weigh less than 20 pounds of loose steel scrap? Pretty sure bulking is just for selling and trading.

I almost blew you off because your video opened with a couple minutes or more of characters playing around wasting time to make a long video full of nothing, wandering around unprepared, trying to be witty and risque.
As someone who wants to spend his free time being a better player and learning how, I've wasted a lot of time, a few minutes at a time on players who are stumbling through an area for the first time wasting my time.
Maybe you should start as the serious, knowledgeable, mature, trust worthy, efficient guide you turn into a few minutes later. You don't need to be stiff, but serious and knowledgeable mean your viewers can spend more free time playing their game better than they would without your help.
You have a lot to offer many who need it, you might try presenting yourself and what you have to offer for what you have early in.. Probably boost your subscribers and donations. God knows who blew you off because of their time wasted by those who didn't understand their viewers wanted to learn as much as they can, to be as good as they can, as fast as they can.
You've got talent, skill and knowledge, it is needed.
I appreciate the feedback. In terms of what you're asking me to do. Be serious and get into things faster. I think i did that here? I was expressing how there arn't any good tips and tricks online which frustrated me, so i was compelled to make my own.
Then I say, let's dive into it. It's pretty quick introduction no? The footage in the background was a strategy to sort of counter balance my serious approach with something playful in the background. This is RUclips after all, and if people arn't entertained constantly their retention span drops.
Figured some footage there would be entertaining while I explain why I wanted to make this video. Rather than say, a logo, or boring footage in the background. I suppose I could skip the introduction all together and start the video immediately after the intro too. But I've seen plenty of successful videos that have lengthy 1-3 minute intros without actually getting into it. Mine only took 30 seconds.
I appreciate the compliments too. I have come to learn from people here, and my history growing up as a gamer. That I am more of a teacher than anything. While good at games, I'm no MLG Ninja. My strengths are being charismatic and "preaching" if you will. While also having a good time packed full of hilarious moments. You will find my channel is loaded with funny moments montages, and guides. I like the balance of serious and playful.
I'm contemplating moving over to streaming in 2019. To keep my playfulness there, while also teaching as i go. I will stop once a week to make some guide videos. Right now I find I only get to actually play 4-8 hours a week, since I spend so much time editing. Which means I'm lacking the time to learn things, too then be able to teach things. Which has me re-evaluating my process. So it's time to take some risks and start fresh in a different avenue I think. I hope it works out! :)
Your intro was shorter than it seemed, had it been a minute or more I probably would have missed your content, and I suspect others who've spent too much time trying to find guides like you would and may have also, because too many presenters are not well prepared and fill their video time with being playful, first run exploration, and a lot of shooting, or melee footage we'd rather me making ourselves.
The graphic was for me distracting, your voice over kept me on, but I was not really frustrated with the game and pressed for time because of glitches, the frustrations of the game, and posers presenting a guides wasting my free time.
The game has a lot of potential, I can't get my money back to try it again later if it isn't dropped over the winter like Mass Effect Andromeda, I feel it was deliberately misrepresented, I am trying to make the best of it.
Remember the Todd Howard interview shortly after the 76 reveal where he was asked is this a simple player RPG, or a multi player? For traditional dedicated fans, or to attract new players? Primarily PVP, or something else? And he answered yes to all, and was very evasive. It's on RUclips.
I was dedicated fanboy enough to believe and trust him, rushed to buy in to be part of the BETA, and this may crash and burn like Mass Effect Andromeda over the winter.
I have a job and family responsibilities from school children to aging relatives. Like many long ago players my free time is priceless. It would be fair if they made this a stable stand alone DLC version that didn't require servers. One modders could help us personalize into the experience we paid for. It might prove more popular than this re]ease.
A longtime favorite franchise and long anticipated release seems to have taken our money, kicked us and our game play style to the curb, and we can't play what we paid for without a server, if too many walk away.
How many would have bought this if they were honest about our rights and freedoms to customize our own game where it would not infringe of the experience of other players by modding our download on our personal system?
Good and trusted guides are priceless to those suckered onto and trapped on what appears a sinking ship.

We would likely see a massive resurgence of interest. We could add our own settlers, big settlements, actually rebuild the wasteland and make use of our endless junk collection.
I'm planning on releasing my final wave of 13 videos I have ready. From there I will cover updates and news. However, after this i would have made over 55 videos on the game and i'm out of content ideas. If private servers were a thing, I could make endless build videos, spotlights of other peoples creations, and much much more. The game would be long lasting for a content creator like myself. Having said that, I will make a big return when that happens. :)

I have made the same point to people about intelligence, however it is beneficial to have high Intel if you use power armor often. Power Patcher for instance has to stay equipped or half of its benefit doesn't work.

Nice video. Another tip I found the other night. antiseptic doesn't bulk and can be sold to vendors one at a time. I didn't realize this because I periodically bulk everything over 200 of an item in my stash for vendoring but the antiseptic didn't bulk so accumulated almost 500 antiseptic in my stash without noticing it. I think there were a couple of junk items that don't bulk so if you bulk items to sell you may have missed this.

you can also store extra armor pieces on power armor chasis if they are higher level if you take the pieces off and claim the frame then put the pieces back on then when it is recalled to you inventory you have the armor stored away for later

Excellent VIDEO Thank you! I started 76 just after Christmas, and followed all your tips - they have been very helpful, in particular the Perk point / Perk Card switch trick.
Your comment about Melee being OP is true, but I am surprised at how hard it seems to kill those scorched with a Power fist. Add Agility instead of Charisma, then you get an awesome build.
15 STR, 14 AGL with Marsupial, twisted muscles & speed demon. I killed a Death Claw that popped up in front of me in the Mire with a Combat Knife. Six stabs to the gut, of which FIVE were in stealth, since I hit so fast it took that long for stealth to break.
One shot Wendigos, and all of the Ghouls in the resort starting at about level 35. I can now clear the entire building at lvl 60 in just a few minutes w/o breaking stealth.
Who else has good weapons but can't use them because there level 40 and up
I've put in a few dozen hours so far, and only up to level 34. This is by far the most useful info I've come across, especially the swapping of perks and how they stack up in detail. Stuff I guess I hadn't thought about so far (too busy wandering the wasteland...). Thanks!
Super duper is a great card, I love it but it doesn’t apply to repairs. the card says “Crafting” not repairing so 400% powerarmor isn’t possible sadly :(

It only applies to certain things, so bulking doesn’t work with super duper, but making ammo does and it can really help you with making your money’s worth, or making food and water
1.Thunder mountain power plant gives u fusion cores if u repair there is a fusion core generator that u connect to the Powerplant box outside ( the power plant gives electricity on multiple locations

I know this is an old video but tip #5 can also be weirdly achieved by the healing factor mutation. It doesn't reduce any weight but you heal so fast outside of combat that you won't need as many stimpacks. I am lever 65 right now and I only carry a max or 10-20 stims on me just for mid combat emergency healing and If I surpass a certain threshold I ether sell them to a vender or put them pretty cheap in my player shops.
Also the Sun kissed perk does the same thing for radiation but only during the day so I carry a slightly larger stash of radaways so that I can heal them as night.

Psssst dude if you're still having trouble getting plastic, head over to Morgan town high school. With the scrapper perk you can get about 140 plastic if no one has touched it yet. It's the first stop I hit when I log on to a new server (unless I've already hit it that day)

Could you explain to me why you bulk wrap, besides selling? It seems to be just a waste of plastic to me. I compared the weight of standard scrap to bulk scrap and about 500 pounds of junk made no difference. And when a bulk item gets involved in a repair, im fairly sure it consumes the whole bulk count instead of breaking it down. I could be wrong on that last one, but i really see no point in bulking items
Bulking scrap doesn’t reduce weight by very much (it can actually increase it in some cases, so I’ve heard), but does make a valuable product. Absolutely grab all the plastic you can.

Ummm doesn't bulk weigh more that the scrap? 30 steel scrap is 0.01 each=0.3 but bulk is 0.38 if i remember
If you aren’t high enough level for power armor just take off all of the armor get in the chassis then get back out and place all of the armor on it. The chassis will be auto collected with the armor still on it and placed in your inventory

I need somewhere to vent because I was playing fallout 76 while watching this video I love fallout 76 I think it has potential but it is infested with bugs like while I was just playing I put all 9 of my fusion cores in my power armor chassis but when I interned the suit they all disappeared I no longer have any fusion cores I would have had more but since the damn stash is the size of a morbidly obese man instead of a small army (which it should be the size of a small army) due to this game pushing the idea of always having to pick up what you find but completely contradicts that with storage space and it’s not because they chose to do that it’s because their engine is the same engine used to run games such as LEGO island 2 and clash of clans like honestly this game is a joke this is just raw venting unedited and I can name more issues off the top of my head than I can list the total issues for games such as life of black tiger my friend was dropping me his harpoon gun for me to see and check out it completely disappeared same thing happened with his fat man also I had 999+ fusion cells I found an assaultron head I wanted to test it out so I shot one bullet and all 999+ bullets gone I go to repair armor then I put it on automatically breaks when I attempt to put it on or wear it this game has waaaay too many bugs welcome to Appalachia where t posing ghouls roam the wastes and teleporting protections watch over the numerous buildings with unloaded textures oh and did I forget to mention that we like to treat our guests servers that like to shut down every 2 seconds also go check out the many haunted locations where you kill an enemy and their body disappears in front of your eyes where did it go I wonder who knows we may never know but I digress there are too many issues to list off here all in all I love the game I love fallout as a whole I’ve been playin since 3 I have gotten both collector editions from 4 and 76 because I am willing to spend a arm and a leg on this franchise that how much I love it but I can’t stand and watch such a unique and interesting game get overrun with bugs I got on as soon as the patch downloaded that was supposed to fix bugs and what happens you may wonder nothing much just another game breaking glitch whatever I will come back and play when this game is functional

Woah, wall of text! But I can confirm that power cores disappeared for me too when I tried to stash them in the armor like suggested.
Remember to remove additional fusion cores before entering your power armor, it is still a great way to reduce your weight.
I agree. Firstly, I love the fallout franchise and I’m still having a ton of fun with this game. However, it’s so painfully obvious that it was released too early and isn’t nearly as finished as it should be. Bethesda games are known to be buggy, but 76 takes the cake.
here's one of the OP classes that I built and allows you to solo kill any scorch beast, mirelurk queen or anything. Get skeet shooter, Max out your shotgun perks, and get the enforcer card you'll want to Max enforcer out first before any of this but skeet shooter Max is needed for scorch beast. How this works is enforcer maxed out gives you a 30% chance to cripple a limb which means you have a high chance to cripple a limb so if you being rushed or attacked shoot the legs of you opponent forcing them to walk, for a queen cripple her snouts then her legs. What you need skeet shooter for is concentrated fire on a point and to help you cripple a Scorch beast while it's in the air, you'll want to aim at the wings, and maxed out shotgun perks cards allow you to completely destroy the limbs of anything you fight. If you do have all shotgun damage perks it only allows you to have 6 open slots for a maxed out strength so be weary for that.

Just an FYI, to pick master locks you still need at least 4 points in perception. I thought I would reduce the cost and just keep 3 points for my explosives build, but you actually have to equip all 3 picklock cards at the same time to pick a level 3 safe.
this is kinda out to date, Venders repopulate caps once evey 24 hours? You mean once per hour right?
Video was made a few days after release. Last I checked the vendors still reset every 24 hours.

@Devin Dalton Vendors dont have a Share Thing number of Caps with eveyone on the server, They may show/share the This is what Bob Sold me but they dont Share Caps otherwise other people would drain the caps instently. Did you think about that?

Thank you. I'm glad to see someone else is giving the game a chance. I personally think highly of the game.
- Bulking items doesn't reduce weight.
- Storing fusion cores in your power armor has a (high?) chance to delete them, due to bugs (the stacking power armor bug?).
- Vendors NEVER reset their caps, not sure if this is a bug on my end or what, but mine have been sitting at 0 since I emptied them.
- Server hopping to farm mats is effectively cheating. "Clever use of game mechanics". Haven't seen game design that bad since EA DayZ. Hopefully they fix loot.
- Melee build is rubbish. Upgrade a hunting rifle and you can 1shot every enemy before they even see you, without ever taking damage, so you don't need 999 stimpacks, which, in turn, makes half of these other tips rubbish as well.
Its sad what an underdeveloped, untested, glorified mod FO76 is. They should have just added coop to FO4.
Only Lead and Aluminum are good to bulk. They will decrease the weight.

@@karynbrunton3218 Criticism? Half of this guy's "Tips & Tricks" are objective lies, the other half are, at best, subjective opinions. If you put your power cores in your power armor, they'll get deleted. If you waste your time fast traveling to vendors with 0 caps in stock, you're just throwing caps away. If you bulk a bunch of items, all you'll accomplish is throwing away plastic.
This video should either have corrected annotations covering the entire thing, or just be deleted entirely for misinformation.
You want a real tricky tip for FO76? Don't waste your money on FO76.
@@strai8665 well bulking not reducing weight is not a scoop (when melt 10 thing in one would reduce weigth ? at best it will be the same at worst it will increase with the weight of plastics)
@@strai8665 Showing 0 caps is a visual bug. Bulking does reduce weight for most metals.
Maybe they've patched it since you recorded this, but bulk wrapping items does not reduce their weight at all. In fact, with rank 3 Pack Rat, bulk wrapped items weight slightly more than the equivalent amount of loose junk items (according to the Fallout wiki). That might be a bug, and hopefully they'll fix it. I used so much plastic on my character bulk-wrapping stuff because I watched this video before I started playing, but my weight never seemed to go down, so I did some research and found out I'd wasted all that plastic, lol. But things change all the time in MMOs so it's not your fault - still some really good tips in the video. I'm going to check out "Tips & Tricks 02" next. Thanks for the hard work!

Great tips, thanks. I'm level 29 and didn't realise how much I needed plastic, OR what bulk items really meant! I wish I watched this when I first started a couple of weeks ago.
For those that lost a lot of fusion cores, a good tip I found was before you log out, put your lowest powered fusion core in your armour, get in it and when you log back in, it will be 100% full
Another fun place to get plastic is Morgantown high school there are plastic pumpkins everywhere and in the kitchen there are tons of plastics forks and spoons. Its a good place to get plastic, i go to Camden park and then to the high school and server hop while after that.
EDIT: The whitesprings resort is also good because of all the gold balls which have 1 plastic each
Defiance is also good for plastic as there are lots of dinner trays and enamel buckets. also surgical trays for aluminum

For the #3 tip you can pick up any power armor even when underleveled. Just put all the armor on a chassis and wait the 60 seconds it takes to auto return
I still like having pharma farma even with chemist. When I am in camp crafting I put on the chemist. Kinda like when I'm selling to the robot vendors I equip my bargain perk, but after I'm done selling I put my partboy back on. Gottal love that 4 STR buff from whiskey :D
Just wanna point out that some scrap actually increases in weight when bulked. The really big weight savers are lead and aluminium.

If you already have Chemist and First-Aid but are low on ingredients for stimpacks, Healing Salves would work in a pinch. Use Green Thumb to harvest 2x Blood Roots and Soot Flowers up and down the river next to Flat Woods. you can easily make a hundred healing salve.
NOTE: Healing Salve do not have the BURST a stimpack does. They heal the 20% slowly.
So, it is nice to see RUclipsrs that actually play the game and stop complaining about everything that is wrong with game releases these days. Thanks for having a Fallout 76 video that isnt all negative
If you log out and log back in while in power armour with a power core in it that is partly used it refills it I tested it and it doesn’t just swap it out (on Xbox at least)
Just FYI, you can actually equip power armor stuff above your level and get it into your inventory by waiting for the armor to recall.

Theres also a couple wandering supermutant traiders, they carry some good stuff to but they appear to just wander around on the hihways

Plastic is available at the Monster mash (around 90 plastic) and white springs (around 40 ish) aswell...
Strength only gives an additional 1 damage to melee weapons. That doesn't mean melee is not incredibly OP, but it's not due to your strength but the raw damage numbers are just high.
I just like to say thank you. I almost got in trouble with my wife when you said "I drop my junk". LMFAO :P She asked me "What are you watching" and I explained "It's tips for Fallout 76". Then we both had a good chuckle.
I used to sell bulk adhesive to make money. At level 3 Hard Bargain that's 20 caps per bundle. Then I figured out that I could sell the raw materials to make that bundle, the corn, mutfruit, tatos and water for 150 caps almost 8 times as much.

My favorite way to get plastic is the putting green at whitesprings. Golf balls, and golf clubs galore
I have to say thank you. Your video helped me out immensely. I had huge problems with 3 aspects before I watched your video. Storage, Storage, plastic. You literally saved my butt. I'm not really a team player so all your stuff with that as nice as that is I just use Lone Wander instead. It took me several hours of logging in and out to get all the plastic I needed but I finally got everything I scavenged in bulk it was a huge boost to me. The nice thing is every time I reloaded I also got fusion cores. Now I have 10 haha and your tip for that is very handy too. I also got to say thanks for the stimpak advice. I diluted all that and got the card and wow its op. Love it. Also your right on the nose about Hand to hand combat. It is way op. I mean I was just drilling people with ammo never felt I was doing real damage. I started my build out as a Sniper one shot kills were my plan. Yet that didn't work. But I am one shotting people in melee and it is insane. With stems its even better. Thank you so much for the video.
