I’m now 13 and my cousin (19) just moved to Florida to work in Disney World and it really inspired me as I’m in Florida for the 3rd time this summer. In Norway we have 13 years of school instead of 12, before college. So I’m really excited and set on getting my English grades good and get good at talking it (and writing). Ahhh, I’m excited. I have to wait 6 years tho..
Thank you for this video! I applied 3 years ago while I was at uni for CEP but didn't get the job. I've decided to give it another go and am waiting until applications re-open for CRP so I can apply this year. I found this so useful. It's nice to get a real opinion and not all ERMAGHERD ITS THE BEST EVAAAAA haha cos I know that it's not going to be that great 100% of the time xx
Jody G Yes Jody! That is the way to go. It's so easy to give up after one rejection but you just have to keep trying. It definitely isn't amazing all the time! You have to compromise and work with real people and that is never going to be issue free! Best of luck x
Hi lovely! This was one of the first videos I found on RUclips about the Disney IP, and I just wanted to let you know that you helped inspire me to apply - I'm headed to Orlando in January 2018! Can't wait to live through all of the magic you've spoken about in your videos 💖💖
Hi Lisa! I did the WDW college program in Spring 2009. I did merchandise in Hollywood Studios. I also lived in Chatham Square! And I totally agree with you about the housing. I hated the green carpet! Haha I actually overdrafted my account while I was there because I couldn't control my spending 😬 haha Love your videos and I'm so glad you did this video!
Thanks for this. My daughter would love to do this. She's just finishing her A Levels now. We'd love to see your interview tips video too : ) BTW..Looking at those photos, can't believe how much you and Alice looked a like. Thanks. Lisa x
Lollipop Box Club aw best of luck for her! I knew that I wanted to apply for years before I was finally old enough. Ooh that's funny! I didn't think I looked that different back then but yeah, we pretty much look the same but she's six years behind haha!
beth hanley I'd recommend getting a part time job and keeping it for as long as possible. They like to see that you're dedicated to a company. If you've only got time for a short work experience, I would recommend doing some charity volunteering to show you like giving back to the community. Good luck!
I'm doing the CEP in 2018 and I'm so excited! Odd question, I know it might have changed, but how much was your Universal Annual pass when you went? :)
I did the program from 2016-2017 and I can't remember how much it was but as Lisa mentioned make sure to go to the front desk of your Disney Housing and ask for a letter proving you are a "Florida Resident" this will save you a lot of money when buy your annual pass at Universal. :)
What are the time frames for CEP bc I know it’s different from the DCP. Also can you do the CEP after you’ve graduated? Thank you for making this video really informative!!
Yep, you can do whatever you want! I found I would never get more than two days off in a row and we didn't get the opportunity to ask for vacation days, so it was a bit limited by that
Thank you for the video. I'm going in the next 5 month and I've got QSR. I hope it would be wonderful experience but still a little bit worried that I'm going there alone. I mean I applied with my friends but I am the only one who get it
You'll be fine! I applied on my own, too. Is there a Facebook group you can join for people going at the same time? You'll be able to meet lots of people on there, and there will be hundreds of people to meet once you arrive!
Hello, I know I'm very late to watch this video but I just wanted to ask a quick question. If you do the CEP can you do the CRP the next year or do you have to wait for a few years before you can apply again? Thank you, I loved the video
jack kirk Hi Jack, I'm pretty sure you have to be 18 to apply! Check the Yummy Jobs website for more details. I know applications for 2018 are opening in a few months so they should have details of age restrictions around. Good luck!
Lindsey Reese So hard! I wasn't offered a place the first time so I did Camp America instead. So many great people want a set amount of roles so it's tough. I'll make an application tips video soon, if that's of interest! Thanks for watching.
You'll be fine! Just make sure you're keeping to a weekly budget and you'll have plenty left over. Have an amazing time! I'm sure you'll love the whole experience.
Hi! I've just been accepted to the first interview stage and I'm still 50/50 on whether I want to go or not, I was just wondering are we able to return home in case of medical emergencies or should I ask that during my interview?
Congratulations! I would say go to your interview because you'll get a much better feel for the program there. If you're still on the fence, it probably isn't right for you. There are people who would do anything to get a place and have wanted it for years and years. The interviewers will probably be able to tell if you really want it or not. If there is a medical emergency with you or a family member, you can talk to management and you're likely to get to end your program early on good terms. Your visa will no longer be valid if your employment is terminated, so you'll only have about 48 hours to get out of the country, but I guess you would want to move quickly in that circumstance! Hope that helps.
Oceane Fournier You definitely get days off! It's an average of two full days off per week. I was only working an average of 30-37 hours per week, so lots of time off!
Hi! I'm not old enough to go yet, I'm only 17, but when do the application process actually start? I feel like when I'm old enough I'll miss the deadline!
DanielleJadee You're the same age as my sister! Applications usually open in late July/early August and close in late September so there's lots of time to remember! Thanks for watching ☺
I was thinking of applying for a summer job at alton towers the year before applying for this, do you think this will help me at all (I've never had a job working with the public so i don't know what experience I'll need) (:
Jemma McDermott Any experience is good experience! They definitely like it when someone has held down a job for a considerable amount of time to show dedication, and I'm sure Alton Towers would help.
Hello! I have a lot of questions regarding the program and how I'm supposed to apply as an Indian. Could you help me out by telling me who I could speak to ? Thank you!!
Hi Rohan, I'm not too sure myself, so you are probably best to visit the Walt Disney World International Programs website to find out how you can apply from India - jobs.disneycareers.com/international-programs Good luck!
Thank you! Disney provide housing but you do have to pay for it. It gets taken out of your salary each week. The prices were very reasonable, I thought!
Lisa Preece Thankyou, that was very helpful! Also, I am wanting to go to a tafe but it says to apply u have to go to or have gone to a university or collage. Do you think it will matter? 😊
I think the requirement in the UK is that you have to be enrolled in a degree course to be able to apply for the summer program. Anyone can apply for the year program at any time, though!
so you if get to choose how many people are in your apartment does that mean you dont have to share a room if you dont want to?? Did you share a room with anyone?
Hi! Does anyone know where I can apply, send my CV and Cover Letter? I can't find where to go from the International program page, also I am a college graduate, can I apply?
Hi Giulia, this website should help you - jobs.disneycareers.com/international-programs There are some programs that only undergrads can do, so definitely check that when you apply.
@@LisaPreece Hi! I was looking at that page, but I'm quite confused. In requirements it says you need to be enrolled at a university, but when I send my email to be notified, they have the "college graduate" as an option. I know that the program is paused for now, but I really want to find out if I can apply to be considered once they activate the program again. Also thank you for the reply!
Niamh Cunningham Hi! Yes, for the summer program you do have to be a uni undergrad student, which means there are probably only two chances to apply! You can apply for the year program at any time, though

hi, i’m going to be starting a law degree in york september 2022, does the subject you choose to study need to be related or can anyone at uni apply? also do you have to pay for flights etc?
Does Disney also offer this programm if i just have high scjool diploma? Bcs in the requierements doesnt say that you need so be an student im confused🙈
I can't remember exactly - it varied depending on how many people you shared with. I think it was around $80 per week for me, but I'm sure it's gone up since then!

Everyone has to share a room! You can choose from a one-bedroom to a four-bedroom with two beds in each room, so that's two people to eight people.
When in June does the cultural exchange program begin?
Mine started on the 3rd June, and there was another group that went a week later.

Was you at uni or can you go straight after sixth form
You have to have completed a semester at uni, so most people apply in their first or second year at uni
Hi!
What program is the one that's only for a few months?
Thanks :)
EmbraceThe Emily It's the Disney Cultural Exchange programme, which is normally from June to August ☺️
Hi! Thanks so much for this video. Do you have to be a university student to apply? I have heard mixed answers...

Can you go on the program more then once? Like do it this year then next year?
- Thanks :)
Yes, as long as you're enrolled in university when you apply :)
When is transport available to and from the parks?
It's from super early in the morning until very late at night, but they don't run super frequently. There's a timetable and an app for live updates of where the buses are.
Lisa Preece okay thanks! Is it manageable to only use the busses or is it better to find another way of getting around?
@@kyramumby3623 I would like to know the response to this as well

I did the UK programme so I'm not sure how the US one works! I think you have to be enrolled at college, though
How much did you end up paying each week for accommodation- I know it’s taken out of your pay but so I have an idea if you don’t mind sharing
