You should also have mentioned the second space feature that very few phones have, which is AMAZING and extremely useful. Oh, and the IR blaster, of course.

Don't buy a phone during or after the pandemic, smartphone companies have lots of losses and they'll recover it through higher price tags on newly released phones.
Actually you should buy the phone after a pandemic because the economy will be hurting so the demand for high-end phones will fall which means companies will need to lower prices in order to move units.
@@newdavidof Well I would argue to not buy immediately right after. Wait for the market to stabilize first. Remember that all the smartphone demand were down, so does the production. At this point, the overstock is less since the production has already been adjusted.
@@Brvqn Just don't buy the phones released during or right after the pandemic. Old stocks released prior to the pandemic will be lower their price (seller dependent), not the newly released ones.
The same here. I'll stick to my current last year flagship and would rather save money for better times. The year of 2020 is certainly not the year of $1000 smartphones.
@@markcasidsid5269 yes, the price for Xiaomi phones at resell drops quickly. The best phones to buy new are the iPhones, after 1-2 years you can sell them stil quite expensive. But 320€ was also good, I liked that from Amazon you can return the phone in 1 month without giving any reason. Which is good when buying a phone you never hold in hands. 😊 how is it in Italy?
I'd have no problems buying this phone were it not for two things (in order of importance): 1) No headphone jack... That's a deal-breaker for me, I will never own a phone without proper headphone support. Also, there are so many phones in this price range which come with very good integrated DACs. 2) Not that relevant to me, but it has to do with how you started the review... It's Xiaomi. Personally, I don't care too much, until the time comes when I have to resell it or trade it in. Unlike Apple and Samsung, I will take a hit of more than 70% after the first year, and that's important. Despite all these things, and since I must have 3/4 phones (unfortunately I need to have an Apple phone) I am considering buying it (I saw a German reseller which I trust already selling them, brand new, for 680 Euros). Anyway, fabulous review, as always, Cheers.
Retailing at almost 1000 Euro, which is around the same price as the S20, I don't think the price is justifiable. Considering that the specs are more or less the same as its competitors, like what Michael said, it lacks the prestige in the brand name. The only thing Xiaomi has done which other companies have not is providing a 65W charger (Good job Xiaomi). Apart from that, I believe most consumers will still purchase an iPhone or S20 for that price point.
In my opinion, it would have been better to use the strategy made by oneplus, with a target price in the range of 700-800 Euro, because this jump that Xiaomi made maybe is too high. But on the other hand, remember that Xiaomi has not leave the medium segment, in fact it is present with the Redmi brand and the K30 pro has the snap 865 and full screen amoled display without notch at a very competitive price.
