I love your videos Beth, and see you grow in confidence with your voice over is just fantastic. I wish I knew more people who enjoyed Blythe as much as I do so I could share, share share!
Oh Danni that’s so kind of you ☺️ I’m so glad you enjoy my videos, hopefully our Blythe community will keep growing and growing, and we’ll all find more dolly friends!! 😊
Thank you for sharing so many useful tips, Beth 😊 my first Blythe is in the post, naked from eBay, poor thing. I’m making a dress for her to wear immediately after she’s unpacked ! 😂
This is adorable, and extremely informative!! I've always been a learn-as-I-go seamstress, so this has definitely helped me see a tidier way to do things. 😅😀
Fantastic patterns and tips Beth. I especially loved how you sewed the back to created the overlapping of the back seams. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge. My favorite was the Harry Potter dress.
Oh Beth, I am so happy that you shared with us your famous Autumn and Christmas dress pattern. I wanted that pattern since last year. I remember how versatile it was and all the beautiful dresses you made that I never got to purchase because I was too late finding them. I also love that mushroom fabric that you used on this pattern as well. I am crazy for Red Mushrooms with white spots. I have loved them for over 40 years now since I lived in West Germany in the 80's. I loved this video. You have such great ideas with the Fray Check putting it on before cutting it out. I never thought of that. I see everyone in these videos doing it after it is cut out. Great idea on the back vertical seam, off setting the seam, Hand tacking the cuffs of the puffed sleeves inside so the doll's hands won't get caught up while putting on her dress, Great idea stitching down points on the collar points if they mis-behave. I wrote down all these ideas so when I make these dresses I can do the same. I really wish I had the brains to figure out how to make patterns like you do. You are so clever. How is Evie? I love your Cat Sushi. What a cute name. She is so adorable. And, last but not least I love looking at you as a cartoon at the end. My daughter in law would love the Harry Potter doll dress. I love the Christmas dress with the pom poms as well. So sweet! Looking forward to your next pattern.
Thank you so much Elaine! I'm really happy that you noted all of my sewing tips ^_^ I saw that you got the pattern, so I hope you have great fun sewing them for yourself! We are all doing very well thanks! ^_^ I also love mushrooms and autumn themes, I will certainly be making more mushroom dresses!
@@BethRamsden Beth I went onto Spoonflower after I wrote to you and only found about 4 of your designs. I was looking for the small mushrooms and the border mushrooms fabric. Do you know how I can find it? Thanks for your reply.
@@elainehoffman7709 Ahh, my Blythe fabrics are set to private. I only have them printed out when I'm making dresses myself, sorry! I will be selling more dress sets made of this fabric later this year though ;)
This is easily the best doll sewing tutorial I've ever seen. I will try to replicate some of your techniques, so thank you! I have one question: I use clear nail polish instead of fray check, but it doesn't do its job as well as it should. How much water do you use to dilute the fabric glue?
Glad it was helpful! Sorry for late reply 😊 it will depend on how thick your PVA or fabric glue is really. I use a bottle with a metal needle type tip, so I add a little water and mix/shake it all in, then test if it’s thin enough to come out the tip. I can add more water until it flows easily. If the fabric hasn’t been pre-washed I might have to ‘touch’ the glue line to get it to soak into the fabric (I hope that makes sense, and helps!) 😄
I need to send you a bunch of materials so you can make me a whole wardrobe for my people I can't sell you seen that in that shirt and pants that Danny had on
