    From 16:52 - till the end : If anyone has any doubt who was the better caption between Sourav and MSD, just listen to this part carefully..
    Sourav had a shitty team who were used to loosing almost every game & those losses never hurt them.. No genuine fast bowler, no pace bowling culture, low self confidence, no killer instincts & lost every game in mind even before taking the field.. Then came Sourav & he changed everything without getting in the trouble with Senior Players, Coaches, Selectors or Board..

    • @timetraveller3046
      @timetraveller3046 4 года назад +12

      No doubt Dada built the courage and hope in team and taught us in competing with the opponent by looking at their eyes.
      But I think Dhoni had his own challenges as well.It was period of transition when legends were at the final phase of career and at the same time youngsters need to be groomed.If he didn't have handled well,India may have faced a crisis some what similar to SL facing after their seniors retired.Dhoni had to handle superstars and super seniors and still need to keep the commanding voice .It was very heart warming how Dhoni paid tribute to his favourite Dada,by handing over captaincy on his retirement test.

    • @primerspecial
      @primerspecial 4 года назад +5

      Right. MSD got a very good team with so many talented young players. Sourav had to work hard to get them in the team. But, Virat was not so lucky, as MSD failed to do what Sourav did. Current players do not know how to handle pressure situations. They do not have skills to play in difficult conditions and fall like pack of cards. We have not won single big tournament in last 7 years.

    • @chiranjeevimohanty_ximb2387
      @chiranjeevimohanty_ximb2387 4 года назад +3

      @@primerspecial so according to your statement.. Dada was also successful only because his previous captain built a team..?? Ur statement is useless stating msd is lucky and kohli is not ... Even dada's team needed few changes..
      Other we would have won the 2007 wc as well... Dhoni had his own challenges... He had to bring in youngsters and he took seniors out of the odi squad which was very tough... He made india a brilliant fielding side... Talking about what he has given for the future.. India now is the strongest side in every format... It is just that we lost a match n lost the wc... He brought in kohli, rohit,Raina, bumrah, ashwin, jadeja, dhawan, bhuvi, shami, even gambhir was a regular during msd's captaincy.. So kohli is not that unlucky as u say..

      That is true but one must admire the elan with which he handled the question and instead of flaunting the wealth he is trying to play it down.This is the mark of a man coming from traditional and wealthy background as opposed to those who have seen quick money. The difference in attitude to life between Saurabh and Hardik Pandya stems from the difference in their backgrounds.

    Sourav’s boys took on the likes of Steve and Mark Waugh,Shane Warne,Slater,Hayden,McGrath,Wasim Akram,Waqar Younis and a whole lot of greats. Playing and captaining in that period and coming out with flying colours- it is no mean achievement. Indeed it ranks with the best things ever achieved on a cricket field.
