You're a super human and a unique piece of gold that you don't see very often, so please Dr. Jo don't look down to yourself and call yourself a teacher. You're a universal teaching reference ❤
"Be you, but on good day" 😃 I like that! When I was doing my teacher training, my mentor would tell me that I'm usually a smiley person, so I shouldn't forget to smile while teaching too! Of course, I was nervous and self-conscious and that's why I needed the reminder!
Team competitions are one of my favourite, but a twist on backs to the board (and this works best in a slightly smaller class) is the class v the teacher - 5 in 60 seconds. Not an original idea, this came from an IELTS training session - recycle a vocabulary set by asking one student at a time to come to the front and sit with their back to the board, the teacher then writes 5 words from the set (you can do this with grammar as well) and the rest of the class has 60 seconds to get their classmate to say the words. They don't have to be in order. I use an online timer with a bomb sound for added BOOM. That way the class are practicing explaining the vocabulary.
A very useful and helpful ideas for all teachers and educators, especially when you don't know what to do and when the class is boring. These are all ways out. I am wondering to know your " running dictation". How it works and explain the rules please. I appreciate that. Thumbs up! Cheers!
Great ideas! And your smile and attitude are contagious!
Great ideas...and thanks for your smile. It reminds us to be happy teachers 🎉
You’re welcome!

@@FayziyevFirdavs Glad you like the ideas- I explain the running dictation in the video - what weren’t you sure about?
Good afternoon Madam,
I would like to begin a successful career in teaching english.
I need a training and I'll be happy to receive your advice.
@@sadekboulhaia8373 have a look on my site- there’s lots of material there to help. 😀
Teachers are teachers and not entertainers but...nowadays, they are expected to be the latter, otherwise, their teaching is perceived as...boring.
I don’t think you have to be an ‘entertainer’ but a good teacher has to be engaging I think… (not just nowadays- this has always been true)…
Unfortunately, you are 100% right
