    Such a clever idea. Haven't tried FSL on my SE400 yet. Might give it a try. Thanks for sharing...

    I'm going to try this. I have a Babylock Aventura, but I know I have a butterfly. Fun project.

    It's pretty cool, made some with white tulle 7 or so years ago, but haven't figured out what to do with the ones I've made. I love my Brother SE425, they have a new one out now SE625 that uses USB instead of hooking up to a laptop and it has a color LCD screen where the stitch guide is on ours. Figures!

    Thank you so much for this simple tutorial. I was looking for a way to make FSL for a bridal sash. Now I just have to figure out how to glue it to a ribbon

    Thank you for answering me! I will suggest that once the file on the screen of the machine you will transfer it to your computer or USB flash card?
    If you succeed, I will be so happy!
    Anyhow many thanks for your concern

    What a fun experiment. Thanks for sharing results. I'm gonna try this with my PE770. I wonder if stitching it twice n tying off the bobbin thread would help?

    • @CleverDogDesigns
      @CleverDogDesigns  7 лет назад +1

      You can definitely try. Doubling up the tulle might help too =)

    This was great, ty. Do you ever switch out colors and matching bobbin colors when doing free standing? If so would you plse do a video?

    You can find tulle rolls at the dollar store.

    I did the same thing, but it was supposed to be FSL, not...dissolved into an interesting knot of thread. :)

    Do you have issues with the embroidex thread breaking on you? I have that same thread and it seems to break often when I use it. Do you have any tips with tension for this particular thread? I have a Brother PE770.

    • @CleverDogDesigns
      @CleverDogDesigns  7 лет назад +2

      I always put it on the spool backwards and it seems to work better. When it has the small part in the front of the spool holder it snags really easy. Ever since I started doing it backwards, I haven't had any issues =) My tension is set at 3.5 and I have not changed it in over a year regardless of the thread. I hope this helps=)

      I always put Sewers Aid on spools of thread like that. You just run a liquid stream from the top to the bottom on your thread spool on one side and then the other and let it soak in. It virtually stopped all breakage

    How can l make big letters using this machine? I would like to write big names on the back of a blouse?can you help?

    • @CleverDogDesigns
      @CleverDogDesigns  5 лет назад

      Are you asking how to resize your fonts or create new letters altogether?

    • @rehannadsamara7342
      @rehannadsamara7342 5 лет назад

      Create new letters altogether, lets say you wanna write JOHN on the back of the t.shirt and you want it to be as large as possible..what is the maximum size for the name? And how to do it? Thank you for responding

    • @CleverDogDesigns
      @CleverDogDesigns  5 лет назад +1

      You would have to hoop each letter separately and use the letters already programmed on the machine and resize them to the biggest option. If you want to design your own lettering you’ll need a digitizing program.

    • @CleverDogDesigns
      @CleverDogDesigns  5 лет назад +1

      The maximum size for letters with the hoop included is 4”x4” and you can purchase a repositional hoop that can extend it to 4”x6” but I haven’t used one of those yet.

  • @pambeddingfield4060

    What size hoop is this?

    Is that tulle or netting that you used? You could also do a wash away-tulle-mylar-tulle sandwich- that would be pretty!
