The 4 seasons James spent in Miami were the best of his career. He could have easily have won MVP in all 4 of them although the last one that Durant won would probably be an upset if James took it. That would have given him 6 in a row because he won it with Cleveland in 09 and 10. He improved in each of his 4 seasons in Miami statistically, specifically FG%. From 09 until 14, his FG% improved each season. Last season he shot .567 and this season it has dropped to .491 - a 76 point drop. Assuming that his new teammates are better than his old ones, the only explanation is that he is declining. He hit his peak in Miami. Don't get me wrong, every single team will give a left nut to have him on their roster and is still arguably the best player in the game and he is still in his prime but he will probably never have another season like any of the ones he had in Miami. He is only 30 but is in his 12th NBA season. He probably only has about 5 more seasons as the top player in the NBA assuming he doesn't have a Kobe or D. Rose type injury. Looking at other superstars who started their careers out of high school like Kobe and KG, both of them stopped playing at an elite level once they reached the age of 35 either because of injury or wear and tear. If Cleveland wants to win a ring with Lebron, they are going to have to do it within the next couple years because once James passes season 17, he might not even be able to dunk let alone dunk like he is in this video.
