Always believe you can win a game, as to think otherwise is to invite defeat. Yes, believing becomes difficult when falling behind. And all of us have seen teams come back to win. It was a great game, regardless. As for this hammer, the receiver made a common error…he tried to catch an upside-down disc palm facing up. That means his thumb was the only digit to grasp the rim. Catchable, but much more difficult than palm down. Nice dive too.
Final point at 13:21 USA are offside. Disc should have been re-pulled with different wind patterns, totally different outcome. Total miss by WFDF affecting the outcome. ;o)
Also, that film at 20:21 vs Japan is not the Dingoes, it's the Men's Masters team, the Wombats. Tom Rogacki - with the far away footblock attempt - played his first Masters Worlds that year.
Surely by the rules AJ's 'foul' that got retracted was a foul by WFDF rules - if contact is necessary to make the play its a foul. Wonder if it was retracted because of the physicality in earlier play...
incredible quote by lavis at 27:10. It takes humility to step back and have that degree of self-awareness.
Awesome documentary! Love hearing stories like this.

Who was the foul on? Cahill? He was sandwiched between 2 Aussies, including the one who made the contact to knock the disc away.
Paul Denyer's braindead turnover in the 16-15 point gets off pretty lightly here.
What a vid 👌
2012 Japan vs USA and Japan vs Canada were really bad games with the NA guys just kicking the japs around
"Japs" is considered a slur by most Japanese people, by the way
