Shows I watched that I would've put here are Poker Face which rules and also Succession which you mention ofc also Barry s4, one of my fav shows ever. Also loved Yellowjackets s2 and can't wait for Invincible s2
Last of Us is good, but Arcane is a better videogame adaptation, and I personally would have Castlevania ahead of it too (animation means you don’t need to cut as many big action scenes for budget reasons).
I think they mean a live action video game adaptation

If you add the words live action. Then yes TLOU would be the better video game adaption. Remove those words and it's Arcane all day everyday.

There’s a couple great shows keeping the flame but I feel like the golden age of TV that started with The Sopranos has ended

I like Succession but it’s not one of my favorite shows ever like a lot of people. Love the acting and appreciate a lot of elements but I never find myself caring about the story as much as I want to. TLOU and The Bear are the big standouts for me so far, with Beef being a big surprise as well. Silo is pretty good. I don’t watch tv much so these are honestly the only 5 I’ve seen so far this year lol.
I haven't seen enough of these critically acclaimed shows of 2023 but I will get to them. Right now here's my top 5

I haven’t seen numbers 4 and 5, but I do agree with your top 3! Although I have The Bear season 2 over Succession season 4 but that’s just me! I would be shocked if any other show that comes out this year tops the top 3.
