Nice boat. I wonder how it would take rough seas. I live in Michigan USA & fish the great lakes which can get really rough not just going out or coming in but the whole trip. I bought a Stabicraft with 90HP honda & it went over 5 foot waves at 29 MPH & was riding better at that speed then below 20 MPH. It just seem to skim over the top of the waves amazing how it handled in that condition.
The Renegades have flat smooth sides with a slightly larger interior footprint. A Top Ender has the beautiful Quintrex flared bow which handles rougher conditions better. Layouts are slightly different. If you want to take out some kids or a few mates around the rivers, creeks, bays, a bit offshore - get a Renegade. How much of a difference does the 90 make on the back? Im very keen on the 490 renegade but dont want to be disappointed in the power of the 70?
