Beautiful! When I was younger, I so badly wanted a house full of Pottery Barn furniture (which is beautiful) but I didn’t have the money for. Instead I was blessed to receive hand me down pieces from my mother and mother-in-law-not my style so much, nice but more formal or country. So, I merged the styles and mixed pieces together along with my more contemporary, casual, beachy vibe. Now, as I’ve been watching videos of how professional interior designers create a mix of styles in their own homes, I actually really appreciate all those old “out of style” pieces and love the mix I’ve created. It’s personal to our family. Now, both the mothers are quite old and may be gone in a few short years, so I am so glad to have so many items in my home to remind me of them.
Finally a house NOT in Dallas or the south! As a lifelong Michigan resident I am here for this!! 👏🏼 This is a beautiful area. Her home is beautiful and I vibe with her style it’s much like my own. Love the green!! But the sunroom is AMAZING!!!! 😍
lol most house tours on YT are LA or NYC. Even on this channel I think they had Dallas and the South because that’s where the content creators were for a season. That being said I really like this Michigan home. HomeWorthy and Quintessence’s channel have moire curated home tours than the usual celeb.
Beautiful house, nice area and amazing interior especially the family/sunroom. The green room is unique and beautiful. I would have use soft gold color for cornish and ceiling and golden metal rod for the curtain. Love her decore style.
Vanessa, you’re my kind of lady: loves green, loves a good marketplace deal, loves special/family pieces and plants!! Beautiful home and very cozy. Thanks for the tour 😊🇨🇦
I love how she brings together all her various purchases and finds and makes them cohesive, attractive and comfortable. It looks like a home that’s lived in and enjoyed, while full of beauty and treasures. Love it.
How cool to have your original blueprints! Please consider having them scanned digitally-- they'll get more and more brittle over time. What a lovely home!
Beautiful home. Lovely woman. She is such a thoughtful and respectful homeowner the way she honors all of her special pieces. I love the large leaf and how she preserved the memory of the tree. She has so many great styling ideas. Well done! Very inspiring ❤
I would suggest you Google the definition of Tudor. Her home has no timbers filled with masonry. There are plenty of pictures to clearly show what a Tudor home looks like. She still owns a very beautiful 1920’s style house.
I love this Chick! She has a personality and the fact that she will tell you she got something for free or at the Good will makes her a down to earth "real" person. Wish more of the ladies on this show were like this. All they can do is walk around and say... I love this, I love that.
Beautiful home, warm and inviting, just like the host, love how she incorporated vintage and modern pieces along with mementos and artwork from family and friends ❤😊
Sentimental home and full of character. A life well lived while using past and present decor. Many nice touches in the home and many ideas to use in my own homes. Loved the gallery wall. Thank you for this wonderful home tour. ❤
What a lovely Host. Loved every minute of her showing of her beautiful, warm and interesting home. So glad I'm not alone in the love of Traditional and Vintage decor. Love how she collects old vintage photos and give them names just because she wanted to bring them home. That was so hilarious!
I love the green room and the whole house decoration. She is very young but understands the good things. I like it that she honored the house previous owner items.
I adore her home! That antique ladder chair is a GREAT find and I would love to have one myself. All things antique is my jam! Awesome home video. Thanks Homeworthy
Vanessa, Congratulations on your stunning home. You’ve done a beautiful job keeping with the history while tastefully infusing your home with style and character. A fellow Michigander and design enthusiast!
I warmed to the homeowner as soon as she said there were probably a hundred nail holes behind the artwork on her gallery wall. Ditto! Lovely person, beautiful home.
I love her style and what she brings to her space. Having a picture displayed on one of her shelves of the original owner was priceless. Had me at hello...
I love your house is beautiful and your decor style is the one I like , because I love new , antique in vintage to mix into my decoration style too. Thank you very much Vanessa Chaverri _Gratz to welcome all of us inside your beautiful house , and thank you homeworthy to bring us into this beautiful home , I love and I enjoy watching this video❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow insanely gorgeous!! I am finding so much inspiration rewatching this video multiple times. I do feel like black velvet curtains would make the green pop even more in the dining room. She seems like a total delight to hang with.
I too just go for it when I am doing a gallery wall. Holes in walls just show you have an open mind and are up for change! Plus , if I find a new piece. one scoots over,, one scoots down and whalah! I also found a pair of iron/metal pine cones candlesticks at the thrift store that I leave out all year. The dark bronze and nature feel blend all year. I love the picture of the original owner and your grandma's little owl! Perfectly unique pieces. The curb appeal had me swooning!!!! Love all its charm. And the gold framed painting of it from your friend ,is such a treasure. You were so fortunate to be able to incorporate so many beautiful pieces of furniture from the previous owners. Voluspa candles are my absolute favorite, although out of my price range being on a retired fixed income now. But I did notice yours... and oh my goodness.. the size!!! I am drooling! I would be happy to do the dishes if I had that amazing bay window... with the incredible brass bowl!!!
This is a lovely home. The Livingroom, sunroom and kitchen were my favorite rooms. I am always in awe of people who can pull off the dark color palette. I am also a fan of green.
Vanessa, I love your home and your design sensibility. Your an old soul, and it’s wonderful how you respect the past but update in a fresh way. Your garden room is the best!!! I was so happy to hear you speak with no Ummmms! 😀. I will check out your own content. You’ve given me so many ideas. Im 62 now, but even in my 20’s I was decorating with antiques and old family pieces. Thank you for the tour of your amazing home!
I like this channel a lot I’ve noticed that seeing fellow Michiganders that love decor the way I do is so awesome to see I hope there’s more in Michigan ♥️ to come.
That's the best home tour I've ever watched. Not only is your home beautiful but you shared your philosophy and skills with us. I truly felt like your desired me to also achieve my best home.
Oooo…I love all the green. I could totally see the kitchen with soft moss green cabinets and dark counter like a black textured granite or a grayish/black with some white. Ooooo…🫒
I don't understand where 'Tudor' comes into the home - I'm English and Tudor is everywhere here - but it is a beautiful home. Love the liberal use of green, mixing old and new, that garden room is gorgeous and the fireplace idea in the garden room is fabulous. Full of character too❤
In the United States, Tudor is a revival style with a few specific architectural features, particularly with the gable shape and roofline, and occasionally some half-timber decoration, that suggests the Tudor Style. The fireplace in the living room also had what for us is a Tudor style arch.
Same, I was looking forward to seeing those wonderful Tudor features only to find it’s a modern house 🤣. This prompted me to search for the oldest house in the US, which apparently is Fairbanks House, built around 1637. The oldest house in the UK is reportedly Knap of Howar (the oldest preserved stone house in Northern Europe) dating from 3500 BCE! So a slight time variance 😂
Yeah, it's not even what we would call mock Tudor in the UK. I guess in the same way the US version of English Country is generally not much like the original style but takes a few elements for inspiration.
I totally understand why this couple chose to make a giant move to live in this home. It is spectacular! The homeowner is EXTREMELY talented and delightful! ❤
A delightful happy home which respects heritage whilst embracing the contemporary. I would've liked to see the primary bedroom. I love the colours and the features, original and additions. My description of this home is eclectic transitional. Beautiful home.
I visited Spain a few years, stayed for a month and had the opportunity to live in Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Granada, Andalucía, Sevilla, and Toledo. I love art and museums, one of my best memories was Museo del Prado in Madrid. About the bathroom attendant, that is a self portrait painted by El Greco (1541-1614), "Nobleman with his Hand on his Chest". Oil on canvas, 81 x 66 cm Museo del Prado, Madrid. El Greco was a renowned Greek painter, sculptor, and architect who made significant contributions to Spanish Renaissance art in the 16th and early 17th centuries. Influence on modern art: El Greco's unique style laid groundwork for later movements like Expressionism and Cubism, influencing artists such as Picasso and Van Gogh.
Ah! My kind of interior decorating. We think alike! 90% of my home decorating is from secondhand stores. One of my favorite home tours. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home. :)
Oh my goodness! So beautiful! The sun room ceiling is fabulous! Love the color of the dining room and the chandelier in there…And the stenciled hallway leading up the stairs is spectacularly beautiful…Very enthusiastic and lovely homeowner.
A beautiful home with wonderful collections. Love all the different color combinations. Love the sun room where you can have plants indoors. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous home with us.
What an amazing woman, such a gorgeous home she has created, whilst remembering and respecting the families before her. I imagine she has pretty little twigs, feathers, stones and other delights she has found and has them squirreled away (or is that just me) really enjoyed this episode, would loved to have seen more.
I’m loving all of your workouts! I’ve done all of the full body 30 and then 40 min workouts and now I’ve moved to these doing 2 pipe and 2 lower each week. I’m seeing amazing results and significant increase in strength. Adding core to each would be great! I’m a huge fan! Thank you
🏡 I love your house it’s so cozy and so beautiful! Totally different than my decor, but I found it very pleasing… I love love love your fireplace! You made me think of the house I grew up in which also had a family crest into our beautiful fireplace in mantle. And it was Built in 1929. Thank you this was fun! 💚 15:49
Lovely Lady with a Classy Home. I Love the Green it’s Fabulous. There are Beautiful Antiques, Pictures and just an array of knickknacks & Decor. I Love the Moodiness of this Home. I’ve learned a lot from her. TUFS
I almost did not watch because her favorite color was green. Her personality was such that I knew it would be fabulous. Thanks for sharing. We did not get to see a master bedroom. Maybe we will get a revisit at some point.
This woman is a natural host. Loved how enthusiastic she is about her home. Great episode.

Beyond The Curb is Dallas based (Potted Boxwood), not Homeworthy. BTC homes are Dallas heavy, which I don't mind since I'm from Dallas.
@@kimpyeatt2595 Thanks for the info! Will check them out!
Beautiful house, nice area and amazing interior especially the family/sunroom. The green room is unique and beautiful. I would have use soft gold color for cornish and ceiling and golden metal rod for the curtain. Love her decore style.
It’s like they think only people in Dallas and the South have nice homes. It’s about time they expanded their horizons.
Vanessa, you’re my kind of lady: loves green, loves a good marketplace deal, loves special/family pieces and plants!! Beautiful home and very cozy. Thanks for the tour 😊🇨🇦

What a gem! I love that the owners have kept the pedigree of the 1920s Tudor.

Yes Please....more from the Midwest gals who thrift and value quality.
Very special house. Really great that we still find younger generations appreciate « vintage » great build stuff.
I will frame and laminate my Mother's handwritten fabulous pound cake recipe. Excellent idea!
I loved that idea, too! ❤
Love it!
I too love this idea. What a fabulous way to honor a beloved family member or friend.
“Rules are meant to be broken”. Love her personality and style.
