I like using karnsteins on voidlock. Devour and restoration together is pretty sweet.
Yes, if I’m running Karnstein it’s gonna be on void. If I’m on arc it’s always Sunstar

Why didn't I think of combining Lightning Surge with Karnstein's? That's such a fun idea holy shit.
Side note: for those who might be wondering about the arc buddy. Arc buddy is great. The problem is when using Karnstein, the buddy often "steals" the kill, and you don't get the melee kill, therefore, resto doesn't get activated. And you die although you were expecting to stay alive thanks to resto.
I am currently using a similar build, as I am training on a solo flawless of GOD dungeon. It works great. Using a solar glaive though, helps a lot against the wizard's solar shield.

What's funny is Arc is so much fun this season mixed with strand and stasis.. solar is fun but the pure chaos of the mixes is awesome.
Karnsteins on arclock was a lot better pre-lightfall, as we could back to back lightning surge non-stop. With armour 3.0, its a bit clunky.
I'd opt to stay away from Kickstart mods as they give only a small amount of energy back and now require armour charge to give any energy back. Instead go for a One-two finisher mod. You're relying on finishers a lot with build anyway and the return on energy is much higher. Stacks on stacks should be enough to keep your armour charge full but if you can afford giving up a stat mod on your boots or a scav mod you can add in 1 or 2 elemental charge which converts every 3rd ionic trace (if running one elemental charge) or every 2nd ionic trace (if running two) into armour charge.
Proximity ward is a great include as its just so free for most builds and doubly so here.

I always loved using lighting surge back when i came back to d2 in season of the deep after i stopped playing back when i started in beyond light for some reason i made a old arc build i cant remember that used it and ive been looking for a build thats used it for so long thanks bro

@ProfaneProductions If you don't mind I tweaked it a little bit and mixed it with my current arc build swapping out karnstien for fallen sunstar and swapped a couple fragments out and it works beautifully
If you also use Buried Bloodline get the buff of Cure, restoration, ability energy, but also Devour on top of that!🥳💥🤯
I ran this as soon as the karnsteins got the buff arc lock is my favorite only downfall no heals synergies well

You said you need Chain Lightning for the Jolt on Lightning Surge, but it is built into the aspect. Otherwise, great build!
Glaives count a a base melee
How do your armors have 5 slots, I have artifice armors but they only have an additional perk slot not mod slot.
Artificed armor. Requires you to farm Master versions of specific dungeons. Grasp - Warlords ruin - so on. Only master versions of those dungeons drop artificed armor which has a artifice mod slot.
how good will this be in gm?
Even resto x2 can't help you in a GM if you're in the thick of things. GM's need specific builds. But they're also like, 5% of what Destiny has to offer.
Not very good since karnstein requires you to be upclose on enemies which isn't ideal in GMs unless your a strand titan
99% of builds you see on youtube does not work in Gms. Even if you see the person in the video using a version of the build. They tend to alter the build a lot with different exotics other fragments so on so on. And then claim that what you are seeing being shown is useing specific fragments. Any build can work in Gm if you have a team that can build and fight around it. And if you have a brain to not just run into the fight with a glaive xD
Just say you don't like Warlocks. The Rocket Sidearm is decent but do yourself a favor use Solar with Dawn chorus or Necrotic Strand with Solar weapon. Radiant will make you un-killable and give higher dps.

The guy is simply offering a different way to play the game so people don't get bored of using the same meta builds. Just because you like to use a build doesn't mean it's the only build that should be used. The stuff you named isn't even the best. I personally don't like dawn chorus outside of GMs because it doesn't offer me the survivability and utility that i won't over other exotics.
