A class act. Bowden was one of a kind. There are not many coaches like him today. An innovator and he really cared about his players. As a FSU graduate, I am proud of all he accomplished. RIP Bobby!

I as a Gator Fan I had nothing but the upmost respect for coach Bowden , in my opinion he was of the greatest Coaches to ever coach College football next to Bear Bryant , I always loved his attitude win or lose , you never saw him lose his temper , always kept the same look on his face during the game & was always positive & a Great Christian man & a great role model for his players & taught them there is more to life than just football, rest well Coach & we will see you soon

As an FSU Alum, my heart is breaking. I was on campus in the mid 80s, and Coach Bowden was one of the most approachable of people. A Southern Gentleman through and through, he always had a smile and a "How y'all doing?" for everyone whose path he crossed. Sometimes he be zipping around the campus in his FSU golf cart. A legend. He will be forever a part of my heart. Rest with the angels, Coach.

Life long Hurricanes fan here, Bobby Bowden was a gentleman, a great coach, and a good man. We may have wanted to beat you, but we always respected you. Rest in Peace.
As a former Gator player, I can tell you there’s no man on this earth I’d rather play for than Bobby. He didn’t just build a football dynasty, he built the lives and destinies of great men. See you soon in glory, Coach!

The Highway Patrol Honor Guard did a magnificent job in carrying beloved Coach Bobby's casket. You all did Bobby and his family and his many friends: proud.

So many great memories growing up in the 90's watching Coach Bobby Bowden and Florida State, they were so dominate and you always knew that they would be in the running for number 1 almost every year. I'm not a Florida State fan but I always had the utmost respect for Coach Bowden and always enjoyed seeing him defeat Steve Spurrier when he was at Florida. Thanks for all of the GREAT memories that you gave to us in the 90's and all the way up until you retired. RIP Coach my prayers are with your family.

He was a magnificent Person even if he wasn’t a great coach.
If someone makes a comment and someone else doesn't like it, it will show as a thumb down. Not necessarily about Coach Bowden, merely not liking a comment .

Fred the Head painter and FSU grad, this brings chills as the respect is shown such by the great Governor of Florida and the Florida Highway Patrol. Wish I could have made the trip to Tallahassee to witness all of this reverence to Coach Bowdon and his family. Good Bless this Florida State hero.

I was a member of the ‘94 Husker squad that lost to coach Bowden in the national championship game
In his post game press conference he said “Nebraska outplayed us, we just outscored them”

Met Bobby’s hearse at Samford University on Sunday. His entire family graciously greeted neighbors, friends and our extended FSU family. It was a joyous occasion and a celebration of Bobby’s life.
Great football coach and great man. I remember his great teams and the times he came to Baton Rouge.
As a Florida Gator fan and a child of God I heard his testimony at one of his breakfasts in Jacksonville, (Breakfast with Bobby). I actually got to the point I enjoyed watching the Florida State Semihoes win.😉 See you when I get there brother.

I moved to Florida in the 1990's and did not know that much about Florida State before that time. I was almost immediately drawn into support of FSU football. As the years passed and Coach Bowden was forced out by FSU. I discovered I wasn't really an FSU fan but I was through and through a Bobby Bowden fan!
And don't be misled by all the headlines which state, "Coach Bobby Bowden has Died". My friend, because of his trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is now more alive than he ever was before! For he is now in the presence of his Savior!
Ive been a tide fan all my life and i got nothing but respect for bobby. That fsu program was one of the greatest of all time.

Great coach and person. BUT why do they have the name of the casket maker at the very bottom of the casket? I mean, whose gonna see that ad where the casket is going?
They need to take some training from the military Honor Guard how to bring a casket upstairs and downstairs and keep it total level the whole time never miss a step
If you had any sense you would see the steps are too steep for the guy in the back to lift the casket high enough to keep it level. Let’s see you tote 700 lbs of casket like they did!
But why does a football coach get a state trooper honor guard?
