13:30 "the more you close (the grip) the more you use the left hand. He more your open (the grip) the more you use the right hand." Bravo. Never heard any coach talk about this.
That's amazing how coach Patrick deals with his pupils' mistakes. He doesn't give to them the time to ruminate on their mistakes and he prompts them to return in position and hit another ball. I love this way of work because he is trying to transmit to this guys the right mindset... In a future match they will start to behave in this way(i.e. avoiding complaints on an error) and they inevitably improve their mental approach to the next point.
Pat, I really like it when you make it so simple and on this 3 year of practice I didn't realize it, my friends on court laugh cause they don't believe the way I learn, but I know is the best way ever, thanks + bravooo!
Thanks Coach! This is one of the best I’ve ever watched on RUclips, I have already shared, subscribed to your channel and improved a lot from your tips.
I remember watching this and seeing a part of the video where you changed her backhand grip from hitting with the racket head above the wrists to more in line with the wrist level but I don’t see that anywhere in your videos 🤷♂️
Hey Patrick, can you please show us a one back handed returns with a correct hand position holding the racquet for right handed. I play for years and need more power and control. Thanks for your amazing videos keep them coming thanks .
If a player has a great arm and a great feeling with the ball, when he start to use his legs, indeed, his body in the correct way, he can really put the ball where he wants and do an amazing breakthrough.
Why is it ideal to use your left hand more than the right? Isn't the right stronger? And just to clarify, did she change from an eastern backhand grip with the right hand to a continental?
Bonjour monsieur, serait il possible d avoir un autre angle de vue afin de pouvoir apprécier le moment de la frappe de balle, le point de contact, la rotation du buste....de dos difficile de voir tt cela...merci
@@1988Allnatural What grip do u recommend for the non dominant hand on the two hander...eastern like Patrick is saying here or semi western which most of the pros use?
@@brianlee1417 I was taught to use the eastern grip for both hands, for all shots when I was young… Then a couple years back, I changed the grip of my left hand from the eastern grip (left index knuckle on the 7th bevel) to the semi-western grip (left index knuckle on the 6th bevel). For me, my backhands improved a ton. And I change my right hand (I now use the semi-western for my forehands) to the continental grip (right index knuckle on the 2nd bevel) for backhands. Personally I found that I gained more placement control, power and topspin. I guess the pros use those grips because they work. 😃 And what @1988Allnatural said about falling back is true too. You have to meet the ball and follow through rather than fall back. I had to work on that a heap as well! 😄 Hope that helps! 😬🤞🏼
Patrick can just say anything and everyone would say it is amazing. Not saying that he says anything wrong but honestly... There are thousands of coaches on the net saying the same thing. Ksenia is doing her best, but saying that he will be a future top ten is just too much...
How quickly Ksenia picks up what you teach is mind blowing 🤯
she is massively talented, successful and well promoted; and you really think she had not heard about the angles before?

Excellent video as always
hey patrick, i would really love to see a video about most important fitness and warmup tipps and routines for tennis players :)
I did a year of Comptrain CrossFit, my conditioning went through the roof.
The greatest coach of all times. 👌👍👍
You are the best coaches with tips out of so many I have watched. Thanks very much, good luck to you

Amazing not only for players, also for trainier

"It's crazy she cannot hit out" - that had me LOL'ing, I think all of us wish we had that issue :)
Great lesson to show everyone, thanks for sharing!

Watching Patrick is like watching a tennis grandmaster at work.
thanks for the backhand tips coach!
This girl is definitely future top 10. Lets comeback here after few years !!

Great lesson

Simple et précis
love watching ksenia playing:-)
Thank you , amazing. It's help me change more. "Biết ơn Bạn"
The best!!!!!
What grip should we use?
But what does mean neutral grip? Is it continental?

What a talent she is. WOW
Which asics-model is he wearing?
Possibly THE hardest thing to do in tennis...the grip change. Being taught with amazing skill...
why this court don have the side?
Patrick literally selects words and methods like keys for a lock to get the right one at the end
💯
Love 😍 from India
She’s amazing . When I hit backhand the ball goes up to the moon
You're likely falling back or leaning back instead of keeping your body neutral to forward into the front foot(transfer). - Tennis professional

Impressionnant ce niveau à cet âge.
One handed forehand when ? And what grip its the must😭
her right elbow should be her rotation point if she wants more angle ( the right arm lifts up to much for the shorter angles !!! )

Do forehand lesson and serve lesson
She has to extend her left arm a bit more. Then she gets better.
The Brazilian flag is up side down
This guy... stealing all my tips, wow.... I want ROYALTY PLEASE
i saw this funny clip today of anna kournikova and how her narcissistic mother made her a co-narcissist and suck at actual tennis.
Загонят они ее.
Coach doesn't know what he's talking about and neither does the student - PM is rubbish!
great lesson, but the girl has no talent and skills at all. Nomatter haw many times Patric shouts she moves too much her head
Putting down a young girl who clearly is a terrific player, what is wrong with you?
