I don't understand music technically speaking but I saw a couple of reactions to Exo from two vocal teachers and singers who said that D.O makes the difficult look easy and it's because he knows very well how to control his breathing and how to position his body (throat, mouth...) "And that every time there was the mouth it was beauty that came out" that seemed beautiful to me, if you look when they sing live and do the "ending fairy" You can't tell he's tired (although there are people who even criticize him for that)
If you haven't listened to their first album I highly recommend it and the lyrics too, especially the lyrics of "Dad", I cry every time I listen to them and even more so after reading the lyrics...
I don't know if you ever heard "Bite" it's part of the Bad Prosecutor ost of his kdrama and it's totally different from any song he's done solo, it's dark and at the same time sexy, I would love him to release a song of that style on his new album... And you could also listen to "Call me a freak", Suho sings it and it's also from Bad Prosecutor, that one has MV and it's with images from the kdrama, it's great...
