I can't believe I just bought true wireless earbuds a little bit ago, I wanted the best sound quality I could get and now Audio Technica AND Sennheiser announce new ones, wish I waited.
Cole Stauffer what one did you buy? I’ve got B&O e8s and they’re excellent, with touch controls on each ear and they’re the smallest and smartest ones I’ve seen and they sound great, also have the Bose but they’re a bit sticky out of the ears, but they sound ok. The e8 though imo are the best overall.
Marcdoubleu I actually got the Beoplay E8's as well. They sound okay, I've heard much better but the sound is fine if you ask me. I love the design of them, they look awesome, they aren't massive and the case is super cool. I'm fine with the battery life but connection downright sucks on them. Its shocking that its as bad as it is. In my home walking around its normally okay, but the second I walk outside listening to something they cut out every few seconds. If I turn my head to the right they cut out entirely. I like them well enough but its almost bad enough to be a deal breaker for me just for connectivity issues alone.
Cole Stauffer I haven’t had that much issues with them, I’ve had the odd dropout outside but that’s it. For little buds they sound great but the design is where they shine as you said, they’re the best designed of all the wireless buds imo, they just look very unobtrusive and cool, as does the case, I reckon B&O will do firmware updates in future to much improve dropout issues, your going to get the odd dropouts on most buds because of the design with the slave unit.
I don't understand why they included the AK4375 DAC and decided to skip on AptX HD in codec support. There's no point having a 32bit dac when the bluetooth codec is 16 bit.
While this may seem silly, I actually belong to those who can't use any headphones that doesn't have those fins to lock them in place.. Which means Bose is really my only option currently. So glad to see this coming out
3.5 hours isn't really a problem. I've had true wireless earphones for a while now and basically you never really empty the battery as much as you'd think. Since you always have the case. Technically when you don't use it, you'll be putting it back on the case which means you'll be charging it. Charging it even for a few minutes still means that the battery would either be on the same percentage or even higher. What you have to worry about is the durability of the charging case. Because if the case ceases to fuction. How will you be able to use your earphones?
I see you recommend jabra elite as best true wireless now. Are these better then jabra ? Really excited abot this headphones, the only concern is that they lack aptx hd... Or what can you suggest as the small true wireless headphones with best sound quality ? Even between ones from IFA, I can wait.
Thing is that they're made for sport and when really thinking about it, you don't workout that long. Plus the case gives 4 more charges bringing the total to 17.5 hours. That's conveniently and effectively designed for the group its aimed at.
@@Maybe_XenOn I personally own jabra's elite sports and the given timing is 4.5 hours but it always seems to last longer than that. So probably these ones would also be pushing the 3.5 hour limit and would work well for most people. If you're one of those people who likes listening for prolonged periods of time, I don't think that earbuds are the best option. You could also get decent headphones for the same price. But the 3.5 hour battery time shouldn't be that big a problem on a sport oriented truly wireless earbud.
Both these are bluetooth 5, I don't understand why their "maximum range" is mentioned as only 10 meters in their official website. That is bluetooth ver 4.2 standard!
I have been able to try both recently and it comes down to this.. are you an audiophile? Or a commuter ? The difference is 50$. The audio technicas have really good sound. A lot of height to the mix. It brings the background a little closer. And you get good sub 40hz at mid volumes which is excellent. The sennheisers sounds a better (only by a small margin) than AirPods and have all these smart controls that just make sense if you commute. Stereo calls where the technicas have only mono (right side) for calls, hear-through sound. Assistant enabled for all devices. When it comes to connections and syncing. I feel like the range on the senns don’t go to far, but the technicas don’t always sync well with video. Take your pick
Lucas J : The Senn’s also have the battery drain problem. They can fully discharge in a matter of 48 hours if not used. I loved everything about them but, returned them
Wow that price tag... I just bought a pair of anker liberty airs and they sound pretty good, and they were $80. How much better can these sound to justify that price gap. Also, they don't look like hearing aids...
Airpods aren't 3 times as long. Do the math. They have an estimated 5 hours of battery life at regular volumes with normal usage with and additional 20 ish hours in the case. The audiotechnicas have a battery life of 3.5 hours with another 14 hours in the case. Airpods total is 25 hrs and audiotechnicas total is 17.5 hours. And while these headphones do have a lower battery life, they have better sound quality and are effectively designed for people who workout because I'm pretty sure people don't do regular 3.5 hour workouts. So the convenience of both is actually quite similar. I wouldn't be so quick to disrespect the audiotechnicas.
GOGAMER 9925 airpods dont have 25 hr batter in the case or anywhere l have them they last around 2.5:3 hours per charge and you charge them 3 times and it’s game over
I have 3 pairs of Sennheiser regular 3.5mm earphones, and I love their sound. But I do love my AirPods for its convenience - the charging case is way smaller fit right into my jeans watch pocket. Of course I have to give up the sound quality for convenience, you can’t have everything even if you design it yourself.
Yah obviously they know audio technica because it's a brand known and respected for its great sounding audio devices. Have you not heard of the ath-m50x headphones? They're some of the best sounding mid budget audiophile headphones.
I can't believe I just bought true wireless earbuds a little bit ago, I wanted the best sound quality I could get and now Audio Technica AND Sennheiser announce new ones, wish I waited.

They have the non sport ones on amazon rn in grey and black going for around $400 (they would ship from japan)
That color makes them look like hearing aid
Vedant Shimpi yeah why did they not make them grey too
Nice hearing aids lol
there are black ones
if the ATH-CKR7TW lasts 6 - 7 hours on a single charge, thats pretty good considering most true wireless earbuds average about 3-4 hours
I don't understand why they included the AK4375 DAC and decided to skip on AptX HD in codec support. There's no point having a 32bit dac when the bluetooth codec is 16 bit.
Monil thats not all the release date got pushed back easily till the end of February

TWE would be awesome if they have readily purchase-able cases when your own gets ruined or broken.
So the more expensive model is not sweat proof?

Can i charge them directly into and outlet?
Damn i want that. I like earphone more than headphone
3.5 hours is way too short.
it's the average though

Yeah, but you'll be surprised how that's the average time people use wireless Headphones/earphones.

thats about why i would expect with these kinds of true wireless type earbuds ~
I just picked up the jaybird run yesterday. These don't look bad though...

When will I be able to get these in the US. Because they are not available in the Audio-Technica website.
@Digital Trends the description in the video has an error it says "Audio-Technica ATH-Sport7KW" instead of "Audio-Technica ATH-Sport7TW"
What technology that buds had for IOS? Bluetooth or Airplay( wifi)?
Will you be reviewing the ATH-MSR7B?
The sports one are just like the bose soundsports free

Are these out ? Do I get them online, I assume.
XenOn S they won’t be out for a couple months most likely
Audio technica getting into the k-cup game.

Bragi Dash Pro is way better than this. Looks hideous!
This is not worth it. The sport ones kept on falling out my ear.
and i thought i would never see anything as bad looking as the airpods..

"reasonably priced" yeaaah 🙄
What a useless review. So what about the sound quality? Is there a lag to the sound when watching a movie? Pfft.
😂
Reasonable price? ...you got a ZERO too much for that...
Mine stopped working after 2 days of using what a piece of shit audio technica has made
First ✌️😊
I still don’t understand the difference between these thing and EarPods. I mean EarPods last longer and are about 3x smaller. For $160
Are you really that daft? It's a difference in audio quality. Some people care about that in their headphones/earbuds.
