This looks quite interesting. I currently use the Apple Pencil and Astropad's magnetic screen protector and pencil tip replacement (Rock Paper Pencil) for a more natural (less slippery) drawing experience. I was happy to see that the Lamy Safari Note was said to work with drawing and painting apps like Sketch and Procreate and productivity apps like Milanote, GoodNotes, and Nebo. So far, I have yet to see whether the Lamy Safari Note Plus has the Apple Pencil's pressure, angle, and rotation capabilities (one of the reasons the Apple Pencil is more expensive?). Still, for the price, I may have to give it a try. Thank you!
Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't use Wacom EMR technology. There is a Lamy EMR that can be used with some tablets (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Tab), but the Surface Pro is not compatible.
Have you tried the HP Pen? It has MPP - Microsoft Pen Protocol in it, so it is compatible. I use it with my Surface (after long long research for a pen and going through all these so called protocols). However I don't have a Surface Pro.
I would have loved to see more writing, more Apple apps, maybe you could have thrown up the compatible list on screen for a minute and also showed us what would be missing in the non compatible app!
I love my Lamy fountain pens (I own about 40), but the ability to charge my Apple Pencil magnetically on my iPad is too great a feature to give up. Sorry Lamy
sir i like your videos very much and i watch every one of your video please make video in hindi or you open a new channel for hindi language sir please reply
What I like is the tri grip & clip to secure it at all times. While magnets help with the pencil but it’s finicky when on the move. What I don’t like is the charging mechanism and the exposed c port, it’ll be a dust & lint hub within weeks. Also what’s with the RIDICULOUS pricing in India!? This thing costs more than the Apple Pencil here! 🤦🏽♂️ roughly translating to 130 US DOLLARS!? 💩
I'm interested, but so far not sold. A few things this video should have touched on: You should have either demonstrated palm rejection or stated if the Note+ doesn't support it. You should have demonstrated it with Apple's apps like Notes and Freeform or stated if the Note+ doesn't support them. Compatibility, or lack thereof, with iPadOS's Scribble feature is another important thing that should have been covered. Lastly, when you do an update, don't forget to mention the Apple Pencil's "squeeze" function when doing the comparison.
I have already had to return this device. It does not work as advertised. It says it is compatible with notability, but it skips and skips and skips. In addition, it is not postable. That is a really big deal from my perspective. Then you are going to lose the cap. It is not ready for prime time.
Very disappointed. The pressure and button functions only work with 4 applications to date! The Lamy ad highlights the similarities with the Apple Pencil, but in fact this is very reductive. Compatible with many other applications, as mentioned on the Lamy page, but beware the little note “except for interesting functions... ” Back to the apple pencil until this evolves. And note that it's the same design, yes, but 2 centimetres longer. Not nice in a sytlo case with other lamy safaris.
I was digging it until you said there were only certain apps that it was compatible with. Once it’s working with everything like the Apple Pencil then I’ll look into it

I can confirm that the Note+ does not have pressure or rotation capabilities. Angle is sorta there, but not as much as the apple pencil
Autos haben auch 4 Räder, Sitze, Türe etc., kosten aber unterschiedlich))
I guess I am from the older generation. I don't use a stylus but if it helps create new followers, then I wish Lamy tht best.
ah, if only there was one for the Microsoft Surface Pro. I would love this!

Ah I 💕 it! I want one!
This may be asking for too much but I wish they made the tip look like a fountain pen nib. That would be enough to make me buy it.
Thank you for this very fast and early review! 🎉
Does this work with Microsoft surface pro 8?
Just got mine and while I never liked my Apple Pen…. The Lamy is my thing
Did this video help convince you the Lamy is a better fit?
Yes, and I also decided to go for the red one

Does this work with Android phones?
Actually I would like a Vista version
What is the point of this lamy pencil? The Apple pencil is already perfect for the Ipad

Actually the Apple Pencil has a USB-C port on one model. But I am getting this!

What is the app you’re using? I missed it if you’d already mentioned it.
You missed it indeed: Charcoal

tfw you make a video about pens but didn't bother to work out how to correctly pronounce 'Lamy' ...
I've rarely seen such a biased and bullshit review.
In India, it costs as much as Appple Pencil gen2. ig, its a bad start for them here!!
