Fun fact: I played the last piece, Abracadabra, way back in Euphonium Cam #5, over four years ago. The biggest difference is the quality of my camera lmao
it's kinda cool to see this from this angle again. I played skyward with my band at the VMEA conference a couple weeks ago, so it's a bit emotional to see the same thing again. also glad to know someone else has sense and uses 2+4 for B natural lol.
Haha yeah, this is my first compensating euphonium so I'm going out of my way to use the 4th valve as much as I can. It surprises me how much it helps with the tuning.
@@Bennim Yeah, the rest of my section uses 321's so they hated trying to do the 2 + 4 on this song alternating with 1. tho tbh my instrument isn't compensating, but it does play oddly more in tune than most other noncomps. Now I'm inspired lol, maybe I'll do a recording similar to this at our winter concert because i couldn't do it at a state-wide conference for professionalism's sake. I wish you luck with your future endeavors!
I wish I could have done this in college. I guess I could have used a cassette recorder...not near as awesome! I like your channel. The euphonium deserved more respect.
Have you ever played an Eastman Euphonium? I have an EEP 526 and its such a massive step up from when I was playing Yamahas, and compared to The wilson Euphs i think the eastman has a perfect blend of baritone sound and euphonium sound, not to bright or dark
I used an Eastman 321 for a while in high school, it was just a student model but it was way better than my Chinese piece of crap I was using beforehand. You can go back through my euphonium cam playlist to see it.
I feel like every school has that new looking euphonium and old looking one, and ou think ou lucked out getting the new looking one until you realize there are multiple dents in it. Or just me :)

This is really awesome! I'm starting cornet lessons tomorrow until my school can source a Euph. I love the sound it makes! Nice work.

I love how you forgot the other guy's name
Great job!!

Bennim: I think you tend to play a bit sharp.
was that you playing the holst solo?
No, that was the campus wind ensemble. I only wish I could play holst music in a band.
Woah ._.
Also what mouthpiece do you use?
The one I use with this euphonium is from some random brand named "Faxx", other than that it has no markings.
Sounds odd, where’d you get it from?
They sent it to me when I got the euphonium. I dropped it one time and it didn't dent or scratch so I'm guessing it's good?
@@Bennim It's most likely a Faxx 12c; I also play on that one since its one I got with my euphonium aswell.
Ayo you look like Jeffree darhmar 💀sorry
