I love how much the city has progressed over the past few years. I thought of an easter egg idea to help disguise the pillar without having to make the skyscraper touch the ceiling. what if you made it the beam portal from the lego movie that comes out of lord business’ tower? might be a fun challenge and addition to the lego city.

Covering the skyscraper balconys with plantlife, birds, furniture, minifigs etc would bring much more life to the city. Perhaps create some scenes, like basejumpers having fun, climbers on the exterior and so on. You could also print out "indoor" views and put on the pillar so it looks like there is an interior. Wrapping some type of lights around it on the inside illuminating random appartments would make it even better. And an additional thought, you could have cable carts going from the scyscraper across the city somehow, perhaps to the observatory, then you could attach cameras to it and record new views going over the city.
    Merry Christmas Everybody! 🙂

It's hard to believe how many changes and new buildings have been added to the city this year. It's Christmas eve here in Australia so Merry Christmas to you all. There is Lego under the tree, and Lego gingerbread men amongst the Christmas treats.

The octan gas station next to the corner garage I feel would be better filling the empty baseplate next to your custom tuning shop
They’re both of a similar height and it doesn’t make much sense to have the now doubled up corner garage next to the tiny octan gas station also the having 2 fuel station pumps back to back is a little strange and would make more sense to have a tune up garage next to or near a gas station

This is wild. Really an insane amount. We enjoy legos and our kiddo is really into them. We have to save up up to get the kits he wants. They cost a small fortune. Were happy he has a shelf full at this point. I cant even imagine what kind of investment is here in all this. This is really flooring to see in 1 space.

Hey bricksie, this may not have to do something with the video, but there are two open spaces in the city, right next to the ground line. Maybe you could build a small train station on one of them, as the ground line right now only has one station, which is quite unrealistic.
    anyway, merry christmas!

You mentioned thinking of a moc for the campground area. I think a park ranger tower would be a nice little addition and probably wouldn’t affect much cause it’s pretty hollow with only a few beams. Not sure about stability though. Question: I would like to pack up my sons' legos into sets and see if I have missing pieces to order and print manuals if needed. What is the best way to determine what kit a piece belongs to? Sets are a lot of star wars and date back to early 1990s. Some i have manuals and some I don't. I know this is a tedious process, but it is finite as there are no more legos coming in.
