Yes but also no. At that time Napoli were serious contenders, but fell short in the 2nd half of the season, yet again proving Spalletti's and Napoli's weaknesses... now the situation is pretty much the same but with a rejuvenated team

Serie A is in a good place right now, competition is high with several good teams playing attacking entertaining football.
As Milan fan, I am scared when we face teams like Torino,Verona,Fiorentina,Bologna and Udinese despite being at the top of the table. Who would've thought that?
Domestically, it's fun. But these Italian teams need to do well in the UCL as well. They need to win one or have multiple teams always placing high in the next few years. Truly then, people will take serie A seriously again

Napoli has done very good in the first half of season recent years, but they always felt the fatigue and lack of depth the remaining half.

ANDRE FRANK ZAMBO ANGUISSA IS A BALLER. No seriously Fulham's best player when they got relegated. He plays like Ndombele if you remember far back Moussa Dembele, the way he runs through midfield seamlessly. Loved it!

Menigima Anguissa is like Dembele or Ndombele? I've only seen Both Nd for Spurs n An for Fulham in the PL! Dembele was some player, If he was 24 n playing like he did?! He'd gone on to A Top Club & talked about More! I always wanted him at Liverpool! Quality Player

One of the reasons I got ESPN+ last year was to watch Serie A. This year they dump the Italian league and picked up La Liga. What a step down.
This season they are unbeaten till October, one of the best predictions

I remember the Sarri days with Pepe Reina, Koulibaly and Albiol, Jorginho, Allan and Captain Hamsik in midfield, and Mertens, Insigne and Callejon up top, not to mention their unreal full backs including Hysaj who I wished we at Chelsea signed when Sarri first came.

Messi and Ronaldo carried La Liga for a decade but now their clubs are broke so it's time for Serie A to take over and become the 2nd best league and maybe challenge the EPL soon as Italy has many big clubs.

Spalletti is possibly the best Italian coach never to have won Serie A. Went close a couple of times with Roma when he actually deserved to win it... He turned Totti into a false nine, transformed Salah into a better player etc

Serie A has been through a lot recently. Many of the best players in the league left for the PL , Paris or otherwise and one can’t argue that the quality of the strongest squads in the division hasn’t taken a hit.
With that being said, the quality of coach is and always will be leagues ahead of the english and maybe even european leagues. It’s what won us the Euros.
I think you're right that Italian coaches are better than English ones, but the coaches in the Premier League are the best in the world. They're all German, but still.

Seeing a Milan and Napoli scudetto run is so refreshing after a long dull and boring decade with Juventus winning it without much effort.

MILAN pushed them to the limit in 2012 coming down to the controversial Muntari goal which was denied vs Juventus.
ROMA with the likes of Totti,Salah,Illicic,Manolas,Florenzi,Allison almost won the league.
NAPOLI with the likes of Higuain,Hamshik,Mertens,Insigne, Koulibali also almost won the league a few years ago when it went to the last game of the season.
INTER almost won it in Conte's first season in charge but lost by just a point.

I’ve been watching them often and want them or ac Milan to win the league but I haven’t been convinced yet plus they had the same or better start a few years back going undefeated until January and still didn’t win the league so only time will tell
If i was going to back a team for the title id likely go for napoli as theyve played brillantly and at times better than milan and i think they have a better team than milan as well
