    Looks like you have great soil !! Rich black top soil. Layout looks great to. I like the way you have the shop road away from the house. Good thinking. I have a buddy in tree work and he had his road to close to the house and everything stayed covered with dust during the summer. It was so bad it clogged his A/c condenser !!! Looking great .

    My wife and I started to watch your videos shortly after you started to post them . As I told her at the time I would love to do something like that around here in Twin Falls or maybe up north a little if I could get the land that wasn't to expensive she is from Bellevue Idaho and I am from Twin Falls . I loved the idea and was going to contact you about some ideas , but I lost her to cancer after a 22 year fight on August 31 2018 . I am sorry to say that after that happened I kind of dropped doing some things we had done together but I did start to watch your posts again and am so happy to see that you are finally in your beautiful home . Keep posting I would love to see how it proceeds !...!...!

    Awesome vid. I could watch that guy work all day, so much better getting a bigger excavator in to clear it all out, he's obviously got the skills to pay the bill's lol.Great teamwork with you leveling out behind him with the tractor blade.The rest of the family are gonna be gobsmacked next time they are out there, sometimes a helping hand like that is all you need after a long winter to recharge the batteries and give you back that drive to move forward with the project.Really inspiring, hats off to you.

    I love how when you speed up the excavation, it reminds me of a tiny toy scooting about. Or like a dog trying to find the right spot to bury his bone. I understand big machine = serious work, but it's so cute how it goes back and forth to flatten out the earth and rips out the trees in the way with ease.

    I am making my way thru your "DIY HOME BUILD" playlist. Love having it playing on the side monitor while I sit in front of my computers all day - "the mountains are calling & I must go & I will work on while I can, studying incessantly" is the idea. Working at this computer while I can, learning all I can.... (btw - I was thrown off a little by video 122 in the playlist.... haaaa), Love the videos. Keep em coming.

    That's so great, He did a ton of work for you in a short period of time. Gave you a lot of room to work in too.
    So if I was looking at your property from the road, is the shop going in above the main house, or to the right? will the saw mill be a part of the shop, or separate?
    Are any of the trees he knocked down salvageable for firewood or using in the mill, or is it all destined for the burn pile?
    Sorry for so many questions, just really interested in this journey your on.

    • @RedPoppyRanch
      @RedPoppyRanch  7 лет назад

      yes on the trees but I don't have the time to go through them like I did last year. I will stack some for firewood then burn the rest.

Also beautiful soil, you will reap great rewards from that for sure. Lot better than the red clay here in VA, lol.
