I finished this book yesterday, and it DESTROYED ME. Exactly like you said: the ending of Scarlett’s love story is so bittersweet. I can’t stop thinking about it!

Right. But it was so powerful at the same time and resonated through the lives of her family.

I finished this book yesterday and it absolutely ABSOLUTELY shattered me! How the hell am I supposed to live my normal day to day life after reading it?!😭 The writing was so insanely good and the storyyyyy😭😭 I went through so many emotions... Kicking my feet like a kid in excitement, having my stomach sink and jaw drop multiple times and balling my eyes out😭 I do definitely agree with you that the modern day love story wasn’t half as good as the one set in WW2! But definitely think it’s so worth reading!

Well Peg. I'll be totally honest and say that romance ain't my thing. I have actually got a heart of lead. However I will give this book a go. I did like your line, "Loins are fluttering." I read, and thoroughly enjoyed 'A dark inheritance'. Our protagonist had to do a lot of soul searching during this book. Some of the things he had to endure were not very pleasant, although I'm glad he had the others to help him to get through, and deal with the situation he was put in. I agree with the author. Sometimes it's a lot better to seek out help than bottle up our feelings/insecurities. It won't make them go away but it will enable us to deal with them. 👌👌👌👍👍👍😁😁😁
