The area you asked about could make for some great lower income low density, maybe that area started out as a company town for the ore industry.
Lots of houses from the Campus DLC and maybe some of the smaller European Suburbia would really fit the vibe!
Love that, thanks Kass!
You could let the elder care facility become the focal point of the new low-density area, do those work with pedestrian-only zones?
I was thinking you could perhaps have an entire area where personal vehicles were, perhaps not banned, but just discouraged and instead a majority of the streets would only be for pedestrians, bikes and a bus route. Really emphasise that idea of what a flock of elders might desire: a quiet area with no noisy traffic and plenty of room for walks. And, if there is one thing I have known old people to love, its to be amongst families where they can get to peripherally enjoy all of life's stages.
That is a great idea!
That’s a lovely idea! Thank you
Always happy for more CS1 content, especially since for me personally CS2 really didn't come near what I hoped to see.
Immaculate detailing, and I agree that the high-density looked good once the Martian monstrosities were removed.
For the next area, I support the elder care facility focus but with a twist. Low density housing with IT specialized office and the basic Medical Research Facility. This can then lead into the ore industry area with a few factory areas. This area then becomes Lower Fewnilla.
CS1 i often do a lot of Highrise Bans with high density buildings because it creates a sort of “medium density” which means the city can transition from skyscraper to suburb without being such a stark contrast.
I love this neighborhood. It reminds me of the new urbanism ideas with the space between the buildings with walkways and pocket parks, and a nice grand park adjacent, with plenty of connectivity options to downtown, too.
Loved the episode! Perfect extensions to the downtown, and all the parks, high density and station really fit so well together. And I agree on the Green Cities, if you don't keep an eye on the levels it can very quickly look very Hong Kong where you zone them.
your posh mall and casino seem awesome next to each other!
Loving the build up in density, its so sleak and smooth, such an amazing look, live it.
You've probably already decided at this point, but Id love to see Green Cities Low Residential in the future neighbourhood along the elder care side. The transition from tall buildings to smaller ones would look amazing especially with the dividing arterial in the centre. You could even set it up as more prestigious neighbourhoods, lil and big, giving extra benefits/higher ground value. Just a thought :D
Will continue watching and taking inspiration, thank you
Fantastic expansion Few! I always love the music you choose for the videos! 😊
Thanks Katie, glad you enjoy the music! 😄
It's looking amazing FewCandy, a first person tour would be a must now. ❤❤
36:30 loving all the shots of the skyline! absolutely amazing work on this city 😍 love the cs1 content!
Thank you!!
Yay, a new video of my favourite CS series
❤️
That skyline though 😻😻😻😻
Amazing as always! Love Fewnilla County, keep it up! 😊
Thank you! 😊
Yep, loving the CS1 content - still the best out there.
Wow, how the city has grown.
Great expansion Few! Love Green Cities DLC for the high density!
Lots of inspiration in this episode for green cities neighbourhoods and very nice park area 🤩. I thought of having the library inside the park, may try that in my build-along. For the area between highway and rail, with farms and the future ore mine on the other side I think having some 'cheaper housing', like high-density vanilla towards the downtown and transitioning to low density would be nice. If you do have the patience, picking the more 'rundown' looking building might be nice, to get that vibe across, especially the university city ones closer to the ore/farming area is what I'm thinking. An alternative might be to consider this suburb funded by the ore-mining corporation and they wanted 'similar-looking' modern houses, so you could go for modern mid-century low density and maybe some more hearts of korea house for the transition area to the green cities ones. Whatever you decide to go with in the end, I'm sure it'll be great.
Love these ideas, thank you!
I'm in love with this downtown 🤩 it just keeps getting better!
Ahh thank you!
23:10 heavy modern designed wall-to-wall, with Some Greenspace and green city flats, pedestrian, Lots of art. like it used to be an old factory ground and now made into a sprawling new car-free neighborhood for all the dink’s coming into fewnilla county.
Love that, thank you
So happy you're still doing CS1 content. 😊 Congrats on 30K followers! Thank you for all your content and hard work! 🤘😎🤘
Thank you!! ❤️🎉
Did you know that a fireworks rocket shot down very straight tram tracks travels an astounding distance.
That crawl in height is looking good 😍
Thanks Ben!
The unorganised mass zoning of buildings looks just like any Belgian city, really. 😊
Gorgeous build. Love it
Thank you 😊
Enjoying the build
I love the way you detail! I wish I could build like you
Holy moly that’s looking Fantastic few!!!! 🎉❤
Oh boy, it's going to looke goood!
Maybe on the left side that you were previously built on 22:57 You should build high density but using the modern-city CCPack as in style buildings make them look like a little apartment complex building with some interesting decorating/ parking lots😍😍
Lovely idea! Thank you!
@@fewcandy You're very welcome please mention my name when you're building 🥰🥰
...watching rest of it - look at you and your Oceans 11 music while you cut into the hills for the train tracks! That mall and casino need to watch out!
😂❤️
All hail FewC, Queen of Detailing! This is truly a blessed episode as I saw Jesus walking on water when you placed the first pond down across from the train station. 👣✝ Please, please, please don't stop building CS1 cities 😎👍
😅 thank you!
I know you're not keen on the financial district but some of the assets work well enough. Like the banks can fit in around the county.
Yeh I like the banks, need to use them more!
I’m confused - the “metro” lines use the same/interchangeable tracks as the regular railroads? I always thought metro referred to a specialized subway/elevated lines…
(I don’t play the game myself, I just live vicariously through these videos haha)
No they are different tracks! There’s one line for metro and one for train!
Loving the Fewnilla series and also Seeing ur City Prosper is a very Satisfying experience 🥰. I wonder if this ur last CS1 series content or are u considering making another one? Bcoz most ppl are into CS2 now.
Love the new green cities neighborhood. Maybe it’s the American in me, but I keep trying to figure out where everyone is supposed to park their cars?
So I left all the roads with parking on, but admittedly could have added more lots in!
Congrats on 30k subs
Thank you 🥰
Nice candy 🍬 😅
🎉
😍
so stealing this build Thanks for still making CS1 vids.
Those two metro stations at the beginning are too close together. There is barely any distance between them. Its faster to walk between them than to take a train. Its literally across the road. And the 90-degree track angles look odd and unrealistic. Keep the old one, remove the new one and run the tracks along the road eliminating the sharp turns.
the new station is specifically for the new tourist locations/planned residential zones - they’re not there for people to travel _between_ the two, but to bring in traffic from other parts of the city
@@AwesometownUSA Metro stations are usually 1km or more apart even in city centers (with some exceptions), since the stations are expensive and slow the trains down.
If its a few hundred meters, just build a walkway.
See the DLR in London around Canary Wharf for similar vibes. :)
It’s just a game
i have to agree, i dont think any city would approve building two stations that close together let alone with those 90 degree turns that would be nothing but pain and horror for the metros
