    Be careful. One of the side effects of adderall is “may cause an urge to build a table, as well as a desire to enter the dining room furniture business.” Gotta read those labels.

    Thank you for sharing about how the Adderall was affecting you, and how you were feeling bad about things you did when you were 7. I had a very similar experience when I first started Adderall, and I got very depressed because I started focusing on how different my life would be if I had gotten on it when I was 16 instead of 20. I started taking Strattera to counteract the depression, and it really helped but my vision was changed permanently. I used to have 20/13 vision (which is better than normal) and now, even a year after getting off the Strattera, I still have to wear glasses to drive. I had to stop taking Strattera because after 6 mos. I suddenly developed the most terrible abdominal pain I've ever experienced, and for a week I basically just stayed in bed. As soon as I stopped taking it I was fine. I am coping ok, but afraid of trying another med because of my previous experience. Thanks for sharing.

    I'm also currently on Wellbutrin, it helps a little in terms of mood and energy, but I'm still so restless. I also thought about taking ADHD medication again.
    It didn't help much in the past but I guess I didn't take it long enough, and maybe it could work better now - in combination with an Anti Depressant.
    Also, just wanted to say you seem like a really sympathetic and kind-hearted person.
    This video has a really calm tone to it and that thing with the table really made me smile x)
    I hope you're doing good, cheers!

      I have been on Prozac for about a year. Getting clean from some addiction issues and told my Dr I just was so blah and unmotivated...my idea was to go off the Prozac. He says o no you need wellbutrin. Take them together and it will help your dopamine levels. (They are low from the addiction shit)...Anyways, the combo is amazing. Almost life changing. Very similar to what this guy describes except I felt it the second day. Anyways, just wanted to share my experience with you. Peace!

      Will have to ask on my next appointment if this would work for me, with the Elvanse that I am taking now.

My side effects rn are tough.. insomnia and straaaange dreams, night time is WEIRD, but I reallyyyy hope they go away because I feel the same already. I had to stop Wellbutrin! After only a week :(
      I was also watching my happy thoughts go by and not pull me in... That was weird. I began getting intrusive thoughts that didn't freak me out at all which was weird. I had very bad night vision and hallucinations. I was like, maybe this will go away and my doctor was like, "let's not out you through more of this." I think my blood pressure was abnormal for me too. No one asked, but in case someone out here is trying to push through these symptoms, looking back I'm glad I stopped! My health was taking a hit and it wasn't worth it in hindsight.

    Wellbutrin works on the Dopamine and norepinephrine in that it is a re-uptake inhibitor. They keep the T's chemicals on the synapses and Adderall simply helps to Dopamine flood the synapses constantly. So even though Wellbutrin is not a stimulant it works in a similar way in the brain. It is suppose to boost your motivation and help you not fall into a depressed slump during your day. It takes a minimum of 3-4 weeks weeks to reach therapeutic levels to be fully effective and you may feel something at the end of one week but, not really anything specific. The side effects are able to show with an hour of taking Wellbutrin in the form of headache, dry mouth and, even upset or hurting stomach. It will in most patients cause insomnia the first few nights of starting it and this is normal and will subside. The only side effects I have heard people say stick around the entire time on it is headaches,dry mouth, and stomach upset, and sweating more than ever all the time.

    Wellbutrin is the best antidepressant in my opinion. Unlike all of the SSRI’s and SNRI’s it doesn’t numb your feelings or effect your sex drive. There's a thousand reasons to quit smoking. Ultimately, it's just like any other unhealthy choice that we make in our daily lives. Overeating, unhealthy foods, inactivity, medications and addictions of any kind. Things that hold you back from the quality of life. Cigarettes release dopamine. That's mainly why you get addicted to them. Your body gets accustomed to this feeling. Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin and so forth also bring out dopamine. Without any of the harsh chemicals that are also included in a cigarette. Cigarettes can also affect an unborn child. It can cause discoloration in their teeth, genetic defects such as asthma and ADHD.

    Ive been prescribed vyvanse recently but I used to abuse it hella when my friend gave me any (slowed down a LOT since I got prescribed and realized it’s something I actually need) and I’ve also taken Wellbutrin before (recreationally and got it from the same friend as the vyvanse before I got prescribed if) and Wellbutrin ALWAYS made me paranoid and irritable no matter what. It make sense though I guess cause it’s the same drug category as bath salts like Flakka, Mephedrone
    3-MMC, etc which are all substituted cathinones aka face eating drugs if you read the news. Wellbutrin is EXTREMELY different tho, don’t know how, but it’s basically a less delirious and psychotic version of other cathinones that’s safer and wayyyyyess intense when it comes to the high. When pharmaceuticals say it’s “non stimulating” it’s a straight lie. It’s a CATHINONE so obviously it’s going to be a STIMULANT, doesn’t matter the dose. Honestly when I take this drug I hate it but I ALWAYS crave it for a couple weeks after. Amphetamines and it’s derivatives definitely feel 😢 definitely the better but I find cathinones are wayyy more addictive than amphetamines even though they offer Less of a high😊

    • @minddrift7152
      @minddrift7152  Год назад

      While I can't condone taking these medications for a high or craving, if you are taking any medication, it's better to speak to a psychiatrist. A primary care physician knows what these medications do but they don't always know how they do what they do. A psychiatrist is much better suited to give you the best combination of medications while taking into account how they interact with each other. Also, H2O is water and the water molecule obviously looks extremely similar to the molecular structure of H2O2. However, just because something has a similar structure or appearance of similar chemistry, it's effect is completely different. So different in fact, it can't even be considered to be in the same ball park. H2O is our lifeline and we should be drinking a ton of it a day. H2O2 on the other hand is extremely toxic to touch, breathe and even taste. Swallowing a tiny bit of it will kill you.
      I never liked it much when people compared my Adderall to meth because one is an amphetamine and the other is methamphetamine. So because they both have amphetamine in the name, people assume it must be the same or close. That's rarely the case. Please be safe and never chase the high because it'll chase you and catch up to you first in a way you can't come back from.
      As far as Wellbutrin, it's often used to get people to drop their addictions so I'm not sure if it was the root of your craving. Taking to much of it can cause irrepitable neurological damage such as causing seizures for the rest of your life.
      Again, be safe friend 🙏

    I'm about to start Adderall! Currently on Wellbutrin which was ok for my moods but needed that extra push to do more and have more energy with adhd. Good to see your experience because there's this stigma with Adderall because of dumb kids abusing it to study or get high.

    • @minddrift7152
      @minddrift7152  2 года назад

      I'm grateful you watched my video and I hope you enjoyed it. While you are correct about the stigma on Adderall due to abuse, I have to admit that my views since this video have changed drastically. I was on Adderall and Wellbutrin for roughly one and a half years I don't think it was quite 2 years. Halfway through I ended up dropping Wellbutrin because I had a really bad pain in my upper stomach that forced me to go to the hospital. I still don't know what that was about. I had assumed it was the Wellbutrin but a new psychiatrist had encouraged me to stay on it. He was also baffled by the prescription my old psychiatrist had prescribed of Adderall. I experienced a lot of mood swings. I experienced a lot of fits of rage. I'm not a violent person and I'm grateful for that, but I can get loud and words can hurt. It wasn't who I wanted to be. There were times where I was able to accomplish my goals but it came at a great cost. About 2 and 1/2 years ago, my new psychiatrist swapped me over to Vyvanse. Basically the same chemical as adderall but it's not as harsh and requires your body to digest it for it to take effect. the chemical change that occurs after it's digested is what activates it. Whereas Adderall on the other hand is already active so it will take effect no matter how you get it in your body. I have to tell you that for the past two and a half years I have been consistent. No more mood swings, no more fits of rage, I am the person I've always wanted to be. The hunger thing is still a challenge sometimes but nowhere near as bad as it was before. My wife make sure that I eat and I have the willpower to pull my mind off of any task that is meaningless. It's helped a lot. I will say that I require a ton of discipline in order to keep myself on track. Like with these videos. I wanted to keep everyone updated. Since I couldn't find information of this combination I had decided to become the guinea pig to help myself as well as hopefully other people out there. I succeeded with this video but not with any other. There's a lot of things going on in my life but I hope that very soon I'll be able to start making videos again. The only thing I wanted to tell you is that while Adderall may actually work for you, if you start to notice mood swings or fits of rage, or any other symptom that turns you into someone you don't want to be, just know that there is another option and for me that was Vyvanse. I still have the energy, I still have the sharp mind focus, I still have the upbeatness. But I don't have any of the harsher effects. Just keep that in mind for me.

      I don't struggle with much anger. I have to admit, adderal helped me focus all the knowledge I absorbed into a stream I could understand. Now I study more scripture, philosophy, astrology and The Theory of Everything. With that steady Reservoir of new and exciting material, I am able to stay occupied and peaceful. Basically saying, I've learned so much about the universe that I'm convinced there's nothing to worry about anymore. Haha, but I appreciate your comment! 3 years is a long time.

      @xHCdizzlex 4 года назад

      Kaque Burlington Or not mix the drugs together lmao. Most doctors would laugh at you if you asked for klonopin while on adderall unless absolutely NEEDED. Plus it could start a pointless addiction that could be worse than the problem it was sought to treat. Non drug treatment options should be the first line of treatment when it comes to anxiety or “edginess” not benzodiazepines. Wellbutrin blocks the re uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine. Adderall releases and re uptake dopamine and norepinephrine. Maybe the edge is from the fact of mixing two drugs that work on the same chemicals.

      Hello! Thanks for watching my video! I am not a nurse, I am a postal employee. (I don't drive, I work at a 24h plant. And yes, absolutely have I felt that anger. There were times my body felt like it was shaking from pure rage for no apparent reason.. I lashed out at my wife and kids alot. (Like, I had no patience and raised my voice when "bothered").
      I've heard some people reference Adderall as "madatall" lol. I ended up growing a conscious and decided I don't want my family to fear talking to me. On my days off, I'd go to take my pills and I could see the hopeless expression on my wife's face that said "well...here goes another ruined weekend".
      I hated that. But also, Adderall had this way of making me justify my anger. I would often defend my medication saying things like "this has nothing to do with Adderall" or "I would be mad about *this* even without it!" But I was mislead..
      I ended up switching 2 years ago to Vyvanse and Wellbutrin and I must say...no more rollercoaster emotions. I am consistent every day. I am much much happier now.
      The reason my psychiatrist never recommended Vyvanse was because it's through the roof expensive and most insurance won't cover it. (There is no generic).
      But if you download the app "goodrx" it'll lower the cost to a copay amount. I hope everything works out for you my friend!!

      Although I do appreciate your incredibly kind and encouraging words and I'm sure that they stem from somewhere real passionate and with good intentions, I wouldn't consider myself a tweaker. I took the dosage of medications that were prescribed to me. At that time, unbeknownst to me, the prescription was too strong. I wouldn't know that until 2 years later after finding a new psychiatrist that changed everything. 2 years after starting Adderall I was finally changed over to Vyvanse. Of my own volition I stopped taking Wellbutrin because I thought it may have been the reason I had a terrible stomach pain in the past. It was so bad I had to go to the hospital. I still don't know what that was but my psychiatrist, the new one, suggested I give it another try. I've been on Vyvanse and Wellbutrin for the past two and a half years. I honestly couldn't be happier. There is no more roller coaster, there's no more building things. There is steady emotions and every day I'm the same person. I couldn't say that while on adderall. I'm a much happier person now. But I'm well aware that these two medications I'm on are both like a stimulant. Vyvanse is a stimulant and Wellbutrin behaves like one. Regardless, I'm in a better place and I have no need to change my prescription or dosage, I don't feel any Rush, like I said my mood is now consistent all throughout the day. Some people have a chemical imbalance, and now I'm balanced.

      @@trampleonserpentsandscorpi8576 switched over to trintellix 20mg, no wellbutrin, 20 mg addie 3x day. i think vybriid worked better for being happy, but i had ED with it so trintellix switch seems to have fixed that issue. still in good mood just not quite as joyful on the daily.

    Joker, you got a wife and a daughter you are to be jumping for joy. Says the single man dealing with the same things with no family. I’m kidding. I know we all have our own issues. I’m wondering if my issues are stopping me from getting… I’m bored of my question already back to your video video

    for most with ADHD, adderall helps them slow down and focus. Very odd.

    This video is great, BUT here’s some unsolicited advice: tread lightly with telling your wife that she can choose to not let things bother her . . . If you catch her doing a moody time of the month, you might start a fight.

      We used to fight and argue. But that's stopped since we've learned more about eachother. We know we both mean well. Regardless, I know when to keep my distance. Lol, thank you for watching :)

    The shame you were feeling was the adderall fucking with you . Get off the adderall man, I can’t speak for Wellbutrin but adderall is speed plain as simple. Speed is addictive

    • @minddrift7152
      @minddrift7152  4 года назад

      Well I really would have to disagree there. ADHD is a real thing and medical stimulants such as Adderall behave differently for people like me.
      For someone with a healthy chemical balance in the Brain should never use a stimulant for the reasons you mentioned. It would be like speed to them. For me, it calms me down, helps me clear the chaotic static blaring in my mind so I can think for once.
      It has alot of criticism against it's name due to the horror stories from all the individuals that abuse the medicine but if takin correctly, for the right person, it can bring a sense of normalcy back into their life.
