    What's the purpose of the red microcontroller? Is it combining the inputs so it can be read on just one pin?

      It looks like a level shifter to protect the Pico which is 3.3v from the receiver which is 5v.

      @@KURCZOKWORKS I ignored it for the time being. It worked out for this video, but I need to address it before proceeding. I am open for solutions.

      @@arnoldschmucker9977 I think using pulsein is wrong, since rc apparatus works using PWM duty cycle
